Good morning

After a bit of searching around, I found Doormat 3!

I would just like to wish all of my fellow applicants best wishes.

Navigating around a restricted version of the site for a few sessions is actually a good thing. It's already quite big. It makes me feel a bit like I do when I visit a new city. Leaving the hotel on the first morning, I like to take a stroll around the block - just to get a feel of the place, and to spot a few landmarks that I will bring me home when I become more adventurous. It feels kind of similar.

I love visiting friendly cities, where the flower sellers and kiosk owners look up with a smile when you disturb them to ask for directions :)

I've always picked landmarks to guide me back to Point A when I visited new cities as well. Happily there is no language barrier here. I failed to learn much Italian before visiting Italy but with some hand signals and pointing I got by.

Italy really is the home of good food, isn't it! We spent a few weeks in Tuscany last summer. It was amazing - it would have been perfect, if we had not been robbed: all of our luggage taken from the back of a rental car. We didn't even realise until we reached the airport. I still love the country, although I would be a bit more careful about taking my most precious belongings there :)

Ah no, that's terrible.

The Italian ice-cream had me at hello, though.

I was in the Dolomites based at Cortina D'Ampezzo and on a motorcycle. Lake Garda was fantastic, lemons dripping off the trees, took a car ferry over and came back on the road. Lovely people too.

Yes! And yes it was a BMW with panniers. Amazing where you can go - even off road down the Gap of Dunloe sp Dunlow?
