As for myself, at the moment I'm thrilled that there is stuff to do while I wait for approval, such as posting here, and simultaneously there's a bit of anxiety as to what I should do for breakfast in the morning.

Approval takes a little, staff wants to make sure to keep the crazies out. :) But there is plenty to browse at least :)

Oh, perfectly understandable, I'm not complaining about the approval process! And even if I did, that'd just end up with not being approved as it's a breach of the rules so that would be massively counter-intuitive.

I understand not being a morning person. I am there too. I just try to get something ready in advance so I can pop it in the oven/microwave/etc and have it ready while the machine brews my coffee.

I'd just call it sensible to use gadgets. I'm not a morning person either.

It does make the fact I work from 7 to 7 a bit difficult on me, so I did have to cheat a little ^^'

My worst stint was 8 while 8 daily for about 9 weeks helping to build something huge. Fed animals, went in for provided breakfast, back out cleaning buckets, drive tractor and trailer down to the riverbank, dig sand, crack open a bag of cement, wait for the cement mixer to do it's stuff. Heave breeze-blocks around. Dinner on table to eat, thankfully, rinse repeat and feed animals again before a late dinner. Crash for the night! It wasn't that bad really, I was fit and young then! Lol.

That reminds me when I worked the mines and got coal lung there I think your experience was actually worse than that.

Miners Lung. Bad. With respect, nah, mining must be worse by far. Although I'm pretty much stuck decades later writing about things I was able to enjoy like caving and martial arts / sword-wielding. But I've enjoyed a rich life and, hey, I get to do it all again with my characters.

Eh, to be fair, the mines weren't nearly as bad as they make them out to be. It used to be way worse and modern technology makes it a bit more bearable in comparison.

Hi!

I don't generally trust any sort of AI-generated narrative thread. The thing about LLMs in general is that they don't really do any processing, they just spit out something that "looks like" what you ask for. This is why, for instance, they aren't necessarily good at doing math—like, if you had them a calculus problem, it will give you something that "looks like" a calculus answer, rather than actually doing the math. Therefore with a narrative, it's just going to be something that "looks like" a narrative...but on its end it doesn't have any real way of tracking e.g. the dog you encounter at the beginning.

I'm also just very cynical about LLMs in general, though.
