Introduction

Ahoy, friends! You ought to know a bit about me if you are curious, before we get into the good stuff! I mean, I am also the Good Stuff, but there are more mechanical RP-related things later.

I am mazed, you can call me mazed or whatever the heck else you come up with. I am in my mid-30s, and I am a cis-gendered man, I use he/him/any pronouns. I am personally, mostly straight, though I deeply respect the wild topography of human sexuality and sexual preference. I have explored, and discovered that I live in a pretty heterosexual place on the map. I do LOVE bi-curious characters, or male characters who are.... pan-flirtatious? Characters that flirt with everyone. It's also fun for me to explore those flirtations even if none of them result in a sex scene outside F-M pairings.

I started roleplaying back in LOTRPlaza, many years ago. It didn't progress very far, but it was my first taste of a hobby to which I would return many times! Whenever I found the time, I would look up some forum, or join some discord server and make a post about my preferences, or reply to someone and get an rp going. I used Amino for a while, and a few other mobile-friendly roleplaying message boards. I learned how to sift through posts looking for the actual adults, and would usually incorporate 1-2 multi-year plots every time I returned to roleplaying. It was great! I was so lucky in finding partners who wrote well and who stuck with me through the numerous stories and adventures and sex scenes and intricate character development!

I just resurrected a roleplay with a partner of mine from many years back and it's super fulfilling and a lot of steamy fun.

OOC

I was a bartender for many years, and involved in all kinds of beverage stuff, from working in a distillery, crafting non-alcoholic tasting menus, training staff and managing bars. I love flavors, and I love the way people interact with their palate and preferences. I think that the memories associated with taste are super powerful. I also found that if given the right context and care, people can like things they didn't think they would appreciate, or find a new preference just from being open to the opportunity.

I love that, and I strive to be open about my writing and who I am in general.

Writing

I need to preface this with a big ol' disclaimer: I am flexible! If you have an idea not mentioned below, or there is enough compatibility or mutual interest, I will try just about anything. Please, if you feel like you'd like to write with me, just reach out and we can try to come up with something fun together.

World-Building

I adore world building almost as much as actually writing characters into the world we make. Not a deal-breaker, of course. But I love to spend hours in OOC chat coming up with the very precepts of the setting. I am comfortable placing our story in any sort of Generic Fantasy World, or even established settings like D&D's Forgotten Realms, Tolkien's Middle Earth (or the rest of it, for that matter), but I really, truly crave original settings. Original settings that beg, borrow, or steal any and everything from other settings we find inspiring. We can collaborate or gloss over any aspect of the world that may be relevant to the story.

If we missed something in our initial pass, it can absolutely be worked in later! I love keeping up conversations OOC about making the world around the characters more interesting. The bartender mentions a guild of thieves in an offhand, improvised comment? What are they called? Where are they from?

Are there deities in the world? What's their relationship to humanoid folk? Do they grant any powers to the material world? Are they integral or replaceable?

Where does our story take place? If it moves locations, what's nearby? Are there mountains/oceans/forests/sky islands/meteor crashes/volcanoes nearby?

What about the people? Are there any relevant political movements, or geopolitical conflicts? Is there an Empire?

Who's the bad guy, if any? What's going on in this world that our characters may have to take a side on?

And so much more. I love this stuff.

Please understand, it's mostly in service to the characters and their story together. Again, not a dealbreaker! I would be happy to drop into a generic fantasy setting just to romp around with our characters.

Story

TL;DR:
I prefer to write long-form fantasy stories with slow build of unbearable sexual and romantic tension, original settings or familiar, and I am curious and open to most other ideas!


While I do enjoy sex scenes, I love the buildup of sexual and romantic tension between two main characters. If we need to let off some steam before the protagonists get it on, I am happy to incorporate side characters, or even  either main characters having a sex scene, just not with each other until that tension is THICK. Love the possibility of denial, the uncertainty, the stolen glances, all the sensual simmering that happens leading up to the sex.

I am a sucker for fantasy settings, or at least non-mundane worlds. I love magic to be involved somewhat, even if it's just in the world.

I love to bring in supporting characters, as many as needed to make the story more fun for us. If there's a love triangle situation, or one of our characters is exploring outside the "primary" pairing of the story, I am happy to help write those characters as well.

Settings:
Fantasy is my love, you'll never hear a 'no' from me about a fantasy setting.
Medieval, high, low, all of it. Established settings like the Forgotten Realms or entirely novel settings we come up with together. I love it all.

Genre:
Sci-Fi - not a lot of experience writing in this genre, but I am curious!
Horror - Again, not a lot of experience, but I am open to it!
Romance - YES please. Give me the tropes. Edgelord lone-wolf and delicate-but-willful princess? Yes. Star-crossed lovers? Yes. Courtly drama romance marriages? Yes. Beauty and the Beast except with orcs and elves? YES. Any trope, all the time. I love it.

Basically I do not care how cheesy the idea 'seems.' I want to hear about it all. I will NEVER judge for wanting something comfortable. Here for it.

Now, please understand I am ALSO so down for coming up with absolutely original plot ideas together! I love that equally!

Theme prompts:

Note: I am here for a long, monogamous build up as well! Just curious about the following.

polyamory - This is a new one for me, and I am super curious about exploring some of the intricacies of polyamory, perhaps more so if it's a challenge for one of the parties involved. I am not sure what this means, and I am challenging my own relationship with monogamy, but I am most interested in the forming of a polyamorous relationship. Like one that evolves from monogamy to polyamory, or one partner assumed it was poly already, or basically any point before the characters are in a stable, healthy, mature poly relationship.

Strangers to Lovers: Love this stuff. I adore the gradual transition from strangers through whatever turmoil the characters face together, all the way to the moments they spend exhausting one another's sexual appetite. I love it all.

Plot prompts:

I am going to write these in a fantasy context, but if you have an idea about incorporating any of them in another context or genre, I am here for it!

Pirate/smugglers: "Yargh! Maybe I'm a rebel, or maybe I have scruples. I'm a complicated pirate! But sure as hell interested in your booty."
Adventuring Party: "So you meet in a Tavern, get a lil tipsy, go slay some Dragons, and then maybe fuck about it!""
Marriage for Political Gain: "I'm no ordinary noble. In fact, I may be a commoner. But I love you and will move the hells for you! Your betrothed sucks anyways."

I don't have a lot of hard needs from my writing partners. I would prefer the substance of our posts to be comparable. Not necessarily length, but descriptions, inhabiting poignant moments, getting into the story/setting/characters together.

I also ask that you be willing to go over some boundaries and discuss the kinds of kinks/sexual situations into which we will put our characters. I am more interested in someone who is available for some OOC chat about the story than not.

Finally, but most importantly, I entirely understand that life is life, we're humans, and things happen. I will never judge you for disappearing for any reason. If you can't find a way to tell me that you're not interested in continuing our roleplay, that's totally fine! I want you to feel safe in that respect. Now, if there are circumstances that you'd like to inform me of, I am here for it! I would prefer not to be ghosted, but I am not going to be upset with you if that's the route you choose for any reason. Hit me up again if/when you feel like it!
