Wow, ok so a lot has happened and I look wildly absent! 0300 to 1200 shift murdering me, I forgot what day it was!

I should be around for a little while tonight but there are a few things to address.

First, what the hell! A close friend said that were tons of people seeking to play Pathfinder but I totally underestimated the amount of interest in the game. Between all the lovely people appearing in the thread everyday and the stacks of private messages, I couldn't imagine anything like this. That said, I've been grinding the last day and a half on campaign stuff and the specifics of battling on play by forum. As I've mentioned before, I have been dming for about a decade but never here on E. So lets hope we can get everything smoothed out quick and have a fun, efficient game.

Now to address the party situation. I think 24 hours at the latest for people wanting to play, can be basic in regards to background but character sheet info is required. I am confident and willing to DM for two parties of six right now. Collectively we can attempt to determine if we want to mix the parties or go evil/good groupings. Either works for me. Though it might be easier if there are any flexible people out there willing to play a different/second adventure. I have other adventure paths and would love to explore two different stories. Though a good v bad kingmaker runs isn't a bad idea either? In summary though, were moving into a phase where it's time to buckle down and start questing.

Alright, to answer Saric's question: Ammo weight and the works. Unless there is any purists who will go crazy, I believe in a common sense approach to these things. Are you carry a treasure horde on your back alone? You're encumbered. Are you wearing plate with 30 weapons like some weird anime character? You're encumbered. Downtime as an archer? I assume you made yourself arrows or you suck. The only thing I specifically require people to manage is food and water. That's just realistic. Unfortunately unless you're a plant, the sun can't get you food. I hope this answer has satisfactorily explained my position.

Zaer, your gonna hate me but I really don't like non Paizo stuff. Since I believe that warlord is third party, I am going to ask you to rework you character. I understand I am the worst human being ever but I feel like there are a millions of combinations worked natively into the basic game to create any character you want. It seems to me like a warlord is pretty much either a cavalier, or divine tactician build for a cleric, or maybe seasoned commander fighter?? We might be able to work something out, maybe but I would definitely prefer non-third party.

As for everyone elses characters, I will be continuing my look over them and try to approve them all at once. Should hear from me soon if not in an hour or so after I post this.

So I think I have addressed everything I have missed, or haven't addressed.

“I fight for the men I have held in my arms, dying on foreign soil. I fight for their wives and children, whose names I heard whispered in their last breath. I fight for we few who did come home, only to find our country full of strangers wearing familiar faces. I fight so that all the fighting I've already done hasn't been for nothing, I fight: because I must.”

OK, so a couple of quick things:

I can do either Kingmaker or something else, depending on the Adventure Path offered.

I think that we should have - if possible - a good party and an evil party. Mixing them together CAN be fun...or it can be a disaster. >.>

Speaking up on Zaers behalf, there are two Warlord classes. One is third party, and one is from the Paizo Published "Path of War." I believe zaer is using the latter.  :-)

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

The only path of war I can find is by dreamscarred press. It's sold on paizo's site but it's not a paizo product.

http://paizo.com/products/btpy99n5?Path-of-War

I've never seen a maneuver class from paizo but if there is one I'm rather interested in spotting it. I've only ever seen the path of war stuff by dreamscarred and the 3.5 book of the nine swords.

Vergil Tanner

Ooooh. My mistake then, I thought Path of War was Paizo published. I'll hush my gums then. :P

TheScarletBlade

Hey Vergil,

As for the second path offered, I have essentially any of them. I am comfortable doing all of them, though I think Carrion Crown, Jade Regeant or Skulls would be pretty cool.

I think Lizzie is right, I just don't see it anywhere in my Paizo materials? I could be wrong, I'll keep looking.

About to post all clears or any issues with characters I have, so check back in like half an hour? :D

I'm not sure my character would work with Skulls, but Jade or Carrion sounds OK. My preference would be Kingmaker, though :P

I mean, having a good party and an evil party start in separate locations and be trying to beat each other might be fun :P

I do think 6 is too much for a party, though. Personally I've always found 5 to be the maximum, buy different DM's have different preferences :-)

Six is fine, its easy to scale CR using APL +1. Just means you got 3 more bandits to kill! :P

Zaer: See above posts?

Saric: Still showing up as negative for stats, like with deva, let me know if I missed some passive but check them over.

Lizzie: For my own curiosity, how did you get every knowledge skill on earth to +8?

I only have the knowledge skills that have the number next to them. The blanks are just so I know what I have as class skills. They are 8 because 1 rank + 4 int + 3 class mod.

Lizzie: Thanks! I was a little confused at what I was looking at. That makes more sense.

Are you applying the +2 to Dex and Cha from the Musetouched Aasimar? They're worth more for me then the default Aasimar which is one of the reasons I switched. :P

I also need to get food and water now that I know those are a thing, and I've saving 1 trait, possibly 2 traits and a drawback, until I know what campaign I'm in. I'd prefer Kingmaker, but wouldn't mind Skulls and Shackles, I don't know anything about the others so I might need to tweak some skills and the like depending on where we end up going. :P

Alni Savund

Description: Alni is on the shorter side for a male human, standing just shy of five and a half feet. While he's lived mostly in seclusion, he puts a great deal of effort into his appearance, keeping himself well groomed  often using various lotions to keep his skin feeling soft and smooth. His piercing blue eyes have an almost eerie glow to them, something that he simply waves off as 'a family trait' to any that bother asking. Alni spends most of his time indoors, a preference that's made obvious with his pale complexion and lack of any definition. In fact, the only 'wild' thing about the boy is his thick, black hair, the only thing about his appearance that doesn't seem to have every minute detail completely controlled by him. His wardrobe consists of mostly exotic or just simply expensive outfits, not a single wrinkle to be found on any of the fabric, though he does have a few less extravagant options for when he has to travel for whatever reason. While his eyes reveal a great deal of intelligence, they also show a lot of inexperience, the boy being too young and too much of a shut in to fully understand how the world works. That being said, his lack of experience in dealing with others and feeling of superiority over people he considers 'duller' makes him a rather bad conversationalist, at times ranging anywhere from rude to just downright awkward. Despite this, he does genuinely try to better his attitude around others, at least, when he's not being too stubborn to admit to his mistakes.

Background: Alni grew up in a small house outside the walls of New Stetven. He was raised alone by his mother, Velya, who was the self proclaimed healer of New Stetvan. His father, having left before he was born, was rarely mentioned by Alni or his mother, the boy being perfectly content with his single parent. Alni had fond memories of his childhood, remembering his mother as being very caring, if not somewhat overprotective. Anytime Velya had left the house, she would encourage Alni to stay inside, bringing him a wide assortment of books to tide him over until she returned. While he enjoyed whatever she brought him, reading them all several times over, he held a particular fascination for ones that dealt with that involved arcane or fantastical subjects. While the books managed to keep him preoccupied for the most part, he would still occasionally sneak outside when he thought his mother was gone, but always ended up getting caught and scolded, resulting in the attempts to explore outside his home becoming less and less frequent.

While most of Alni's childhood remained relatively simple, one day, when Velya returned from one of her trips, something about her had... changed. She was still the same doting mother she had always been, but she seemed far more unhinged, Alni often catching her muttering to herself or dancing around outside at night, completely naked. She had also begun to bring strange men into their home, all of which seemed to disappear without a trace after a few days. She changed physically as well, her appearance looking far more youthful than he had remembered and her eyes changing from a deep emerald color to a piercing blue. While he did his best to ignore these changes and pretend like everything was the same as ever, he couldn't help but feel afraid whenever she was around. Even though she didn't change how she treated him, Alni began to avoid his mother more and more, even beginning to sneak out while she was still home.

Shortly after he came of age, Alni decided he couldn't stand living with his mother anymore, the woman being barely recognizable as the person who had raised him and even starting to look at the boy with contempt, as if he was becoming a burden on her life. Shortly before he acted on plans he had of leaving however, his mother had suddenly vanished, without a trace. At first, he thought she had just left on another one of her trips, but as days turned to weeks and weeks to months, Alni realized that she wasn't returning. She hadn't even taken anything with her, all her belongings remaining exactly where he remembered, completely untouched. Despite the strained relationship they had in more recent years, Alni couldn't help but feel sorrow at the disappearance of Velya. She was still, after all, the woman who had raised him, despite all the dramatic changes she underwent.

A few years after Velya's disappearance and Alni was still living in their home. He decided to take on the role of a healer in her stead, though his knowledge in alchemy was far more lacking and he had trouble making enough to live off of. One night, while he was asleep, Alni was visited by a vision of a strange being in his dreams. It told him that it knew his mother and that it agreed to look after him once she was no longer able to. It told him that he could have whatever his heart desired so long as he did 'small favors' for it. When he agreed to do what it asked, it even told him a great deal of secrets it knew. When Alni awoke, he was greeted to the sight of his first gift for his compliance, a small greensting scorpion waiting patiently right next to his head. He felt no fear as he stared curiously at the poisonous insect, fully aware of the magical link he had with it. When dawn broke,  Alni set off to do as the strange being asked, collecting various ingredients that grew nearby, his new scorpion companion riding along on his shoulder. The task seemed rather mundane and he couldn't understand what it would want with what he was collecting, but he did so without question, eager to see just what his new 'friend' was capable of. Returning home with what he was asked to gather, he slipped the flora he collected under his pillow, Sure enough, when he went to sleep that night, the vision greeted him once again, pleased that he had done as it asked. In return, it told him more of its secrets and gave him exactly what he asked for: gold.

Things continued this way for quite some time, with Alni doing some seemingly mundane task for his mysterious benefactor and it rewarding him with more secrets and more of whatever the boy desired. As time went on, Alni's appearance began to change, his emerald eyes become bluer and brighter with each passing day and his overall features becoming more feminine. He hardly noticed, however, being far too preoccupied with all of the new stuff that he had been given, his small home becoming more and more extravagant with each request he fulfilled. In addition, the strange being's secrets allowed the boy to grow more and more powerful, learning magic that would take some years to master, in mere days.

Psh, real adventurers don't need food.
Unfortunately, Alni isn't a real adventurer yet, so I updated my sheet with some rations.

I was about to complain about how everyone is either good or evil, while my girl is neutral. Then I remembered; she's a dhampir! She's likely to be such an outcast anyway, what's one more little thing that makes her an outsider? XD

Don't worry! Drazzak doesn't mind Dhampirs. He was taught by his mentor that Dhampirs should - like everybody else - be judged by their actions. They didn't ask to be born, after all :P
