Though perhaps my lad was an escaped Chelish slave before he was picked up by the noble family, the Player Guide mentions it, though honestly I don't feel that's such a good fit for this Path.

I dig shiz like Numeria with the pulpy scifi Conan shiz, which is close by. I'm most feeling he was some rascal from there, like Batt from Fist of the North Star (pondering on a harmonica for his musical instrument! ^^ ) and his halfling luck saved his ass.

I think that's not enough frog in your backstory..

Heh.

Anyhoo, my character sheet is seemingly done, I don't think there's anything more to do add to it or needs doing now.

Someone teach me about CMB and CMD. I know nothing on Traits, though believe everything in my sheet should be in order, 'cept for maybe the order I listed things. ^^;

Traits are baby feats, basic pathfinder creation has you settled in with 2, you can also have 3 and a drawback like frog-girl, etc.
Also keep favoured class bonus in mind while we're at it.

CMB and CMD are a tricky thing in erotic rps, because some folks wanna do grapple rules, but simply said, they are all 'special combat nonsense' you wanna do, rather than bonk people with your weapon. Hammered together from a complicated formula, CMB is your attack, CMD your defense. for the attack you use Bab + size + strength + whatever else applies
VS  Bab + size + strength and dex + whatever else applies.
Sounds as if CMD should usually be larger? Yeah, but some monsters have crazy mods.

Example: Frog girl tries to disarm you, thats 0 Bab +0 size -1 Strength, -4 (special penalty for disarm attempts without feat)
You or DM would roll 0 bab -1 size +0 strength +3 dex, +0 (no other special modifiers apply). That adds up to a d20 throw thats 35% more in your favour of success.

Basically, just one more reason why squishy halfling doesn't want to stand in the frontlines taking combat maneuvres to the face. You're no good at it.

Remaining questions for GM: (I've seen a lot of assumptions but no GM rulings)
Which Campaign (if any) - effects trait selection
What is starting gold? - Max, Average, or Random?
Traits - is it 2 including campaign trait, 2 plus campaign trait, and are Drawbacks allowed?

Whelp, I guess going to be early for my 0300 shift is not the smart thing! I've missed way to much fun or lack of it.

First, weighing in on our fun racial debate. I don't care about race and personally I don't care about any snowflake or non snowflake stuff. A human-centric party is fine, a goblin-centric party is cool too. I just don't allow drow-centric parties. Hate HATE HATE Drow. Only good Drow is a dead Drow. Which is why second darkness might be the second adventure I might dm for everyone if we don't do two different kingmakers or if we've lost interest/paired down or people thats cool too. My irrational(some might say rational) hatred for Drow aside, As important as having a human functionary for a mostly human kingdom in the future, I hope we all remember that the Stolen Lands are a lawless land of monsters, outcasts and rejects. All would feasibly be outcast there, except Drow because we will kill them.

Second, I appreciate all the helpful people on the forum and love the characters posted currently. When I get back from the gym and by the end of the night I will for sure have verified the info for the more complete characters so they can be accepted. Thank you for thoughtful designs and patience.

Lastly and this is just an observation but.....does someone wanna play like a tank? I know, boo tanks, but there seems to be a lot of squishy looking people and archers. Just an observation! :P

Hope everyone's day is going well!

Since Saric Posted in front of me, just random the gold, roll that dice. Honor system? Everyone else I have assumed just rolled the gold they spent/have.
Traits are 2 by themselves and 3 with a drawback. Campaign vs Normal is not technically required, just suggested because such traits gives somewhat of a backstory. The traits you chose can be any Paizo created ones. I believe someone posted a list of all of them a page or two back.
“I fight for the men I have held in my arms, dying on foreign soil. I fight for their wives and children, whose names I heard whispered in their last breath. I fight for we few who did come home, only to find our country full of strangers wearing familiar faces. I fight so that all the fighting I've already done hasn't been for nothing, I fight: because I must.”

Crazy barbarian immortal rager lots are always fun too, but for now, I'm happy with frog. Frog can potion people and poisons if you try to grope up close. That'll have to help. :P

Actually used the average, but I kinda wing the gold anyway. Not gonna lie, my character is gonna be money-hungry if I go the way of potion/poison creating semi-supporter frog-gal. *chuckles* rolls

Give me a moment to familiarize myself with the intricacies of PF vs DnD 3.5/5E and I shall have you a tank.

Okay, I need to plop in another Trait and I'm done then. :)

I went with average gold for my gear, I'm honestly just gonna keep it there, I really don't wanna try and sort out another list after giving a roll an attempt. Usually I'm all up for rolls, though dear lordy did sorting out the adventuring gear near kill me earlier...  :D

I'll see about getting a more martial directed Trait if needs be. I just kinda went to my original concept. Playing a Bard is kinda not the tankiest thing going, coulda gone Ranger though I felt that'd be a fair amount of work needed there.

Things seem to be coming up to be fun times. Overall it's been super neat building up my shortboi today. :)

Does Tiger fit the Mooncaller motif? :P

Maybe...? I dunno. When I was originally making her, there was a whole story I had with another player about how they were adopted sisters (not sisters by blood) and her sister was a Cleric who channeled negative energy in order to kill the baddies, but not hurt her sister. And the tiger became Aurora's companion and protector as they lived on their own. Because Aurora's sister was associated with a Dhampir, she was basically shunned by association.

In all seriousness, Pers, I love the idea of a Dhampir Druid :-3 I look forward to reading more about her! :D What can you tell us now? :P

lol Well, I think I just told you about her! :P I'll have to rework her backstory a little, though, since she has no sister in this campaign.
This doesn't have to end in a fight, Buck.
It always ends in a fight.

I think I'm pretty set on frog-girl, though if the group-stability demands it I'm pretty sure I could switch over her build to a tanky variant. *nodnod* Right now is more roleplay than optimized character. (poisons in general sadly ain't super impressive.)

wander

I'm feeling Inspiring Rush as the neat other Trait to take. From the combat list of traits, I believe it's from the Knights of the Inner Sea book.

Vergil Tanner

Oooh, interesting! I was only mentioning it because Tiger wasn't the obvious one that I thought of when you say "Dhampir." But if it makes sense for you, cool!

And lol, she could have a sister in this game! She'd just be an NPC. :P

And LOL, tanks are for pussies! Real men stand 100 feet away plinking with arrows :P

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

lol Well, I'd rather it be an actual player for her sister. More interaction that way and such. But that's a personal preference. ^^

I have been debating on changing her companion to be either an owl, raven, or perhaps a snake.

Oh, BTW... If people want, I could pitch a Half Orc Warlord for a tank, if nobody else wants to play one. I dunno, my first choice is an archer, but I could be persuaded to do a Tank too. *shrug.*

Human Swashbuckler (Rostland Bravo) Lawful Evil

CMB +1 BAB 1 CMD 15
Aldori Dueling Sword (One handed) +6, 1d8+3 damage. 19-20/x2 critical
Str 12 (1) Dex 16 (3) Con 13 (1) Wis 13 (1) Int 12 (1) Cha 14 (2)
Languages: Common, Infernal

Age: 22
Height/Weight: 5'8, 125 lbs

Appearance: Reasonably talland quite athletically built, Linde looks every part the noble she would have been if life had been kinder to her family. Long red hair is kept constantly tied up and back, and her brilliant blue gaze is almost always cold and assessing.

Personality: Polite and formal, Linde honestly would not seem like a particularly bad person if around the right sort of people. While she lacks many of the common Chelaxian views on race, though, she does make no secret of her utter and complete disgust for criminals - no matter their crimes or motives. While typically serious, she does have a sarcastic and quietly playful side to herself that sometimes shows itself.

Background: Linde's family has not, in recent years, had much in the way of luck. Originally minor Chelaxian nobility, politics drove them from their home early in her life, a period that she only has vague memories of, yet a period that quite firmly left a hatred of bandits and criminals in her heart. When her family reached Brevoy and decided they had gone far enough, after all, it consisted of herself, her mother and her younger sister. Her father, older brother and older sister ... well, she feels that she has very good reason for hating the lawless.
Her life in Brevoy was not unpleasant, however, her younger sister securing herself a good job and her own efforts helping the small family out, too.
In between odd jobs, however, Linde found herself drawn to one of the reasons that her mother had come to this place to begin with, an old former hellknight and friend of the family, who taught Linde a variation of the local sword style, harshly correcting her smallest mistake.

Armed and trained, with her older sister's armour now fitted for her form, Linde eagerly threw herself into the task of hunting down local criminals, or at least the ones wanted dead. She had, after all, learned quite quickly that she had trouble holding back not to mention how enjoyable she found it to draw out the process of administering justice.
The chance to put the festering pile of scum that was the Stolen Lands under the heel of law and give it what it deserved made that particular offer far to exciting to pass up, never mind how this would restore some of her family's lost power and influence.

If there is room I could apply with human warlord (a Asmodean follower who will train stormtroopers in new kingdom). So far thinking a scandalous affair with Cheliax ambassador (so go for Bastard campaign trait). So far considering Vanguard Commander archtype (so shield using tanky warrior concept).

Since of the invention of Long Spear.
But a long spear and a pole are two different things. Arguably, the pole is just a spear without the point, but that makes it less useful as a weapon then at least for a normal sized character.

So using pole (longspear without a sharp tip) is harder that using simple longspear, was that what you ment?

Pretty much. A long spear is around 8 feet in length, according to the phb, and is a two handed weapon. It's meant for stabbing not swinging around like a club.

What is your goal/ attack method? Are you settibg the pile against a charge? A spear is more effective. Are you twirling it around like a quarterstaff? It's longer than you are tall you'd hit the ground on every other swing.

I didn't think a Barbarian could be a Tank...

Anywho!

Hey guys! Starting tomorrow morning (16 hours at time of writing) I will be heading on a two day trip with my GF out of town. I might be around on my phone here and there, but I won't be active again until Friday night (roughly 54 hours from now, at time of writing). Happy gaming in the meantime! :D
