Alaska Oil Rigs

Town of Nuiqsut

The town of Nuiqsut has a population of 177, run mostly by the coven of vampires who live there. This town is an oil town, with three rigs nearby that are maintained and operated strictly by those who live on the nearby property. While there are roads for access throughout the town, much of the town is connected via tunnels. These tunnels are built to hold the generators and the pipes for running water, but also serve as walking paths. The Recreation center, NuSu Bar, and Medical Office are all accessible via these tunnels. Most homes also access these tunnels.

Recreation Center

The Recreation Center is the first place in which new arrivals to the town will see. It of course is divided up into a few smaller sections. One section of course the billiard room. In this room there is the choice to play several table top games, pool, ping pong, and several others. There are also a few arcade games available. A second section is for courts, for more interactive games, such as racket ball and basketball. There is also a movie theater section. Three smaller rooms for a small group of people to watch movies, then a larger theater that allows for a larger group to see something together. Next to the movie area is a library, but this library provides the town with more than books, here is where movies can be found as reception isn't the best. At times of great emergency town meetings will also be held in this building. At the front is a small mail room where a post master will assist you in preparations for sending things out of Alaska.

Trading Post

The trading post will come in handy as there are Eskimos and others who may pass through and offer the coven things that they can't otherwise provide themselves. It will also be good for bringing in new people as they may be needed for random tasks, not far from this point will also be the home of the person who runs the trading post.

NuSu Bar & Diner

This cozy little bar and diner is for those who are getting a little cabin feverish and under the weather. It's a small piece of "civilization" that allows for a more relaxing environment. It's not very large or very fancy of course, but it's suitable for what it does.

Motel

This small ten-room motel is primarily to accommodate the truckers who come and go as weather permits, making the drive down the coast with their precious cargo to the Pipeline. Also, newcomers to the settlement are often temporarily housed here until their permanent quarters can be established, which usually only takes 2-7 days, depending on the needs of the tenant.

Oil Rigs

There are three oil rigs located in this area that are owned by the coven, at any given time a worker can find themselves on any of the three, and their jobs may vary depending on what is needed to be done.

Medical Office

In such extreme conditions, the medical office is one of the most important buildings, and is the home of the second coven leader. Dolls will be required to visit this building at least once a week, more often if for any reason someone becomes concerned with their well being.

The Laws

Coven Laws

These are the laws particular to this coven. Should it enter in conflict with the Vampire Laws at one point or another, the Vampire Law prevails. Patience is the law enforcer.

A Vampire may claim up to two dolls. However the claiming of a doll is optional and the Doll and Patience must approve. A doll should be claimed with a good reason and not simply to hoard a supply of blood.

A Vampire is responsible for the health of its doll(s). The Coven of course watches over each of their Dolls, but once a doll has been claimed the Vampire who claimed them becomes primary protector. They should be fed, clothed and kept healthy. They have a right to their dignity. A negligence to keep a doll healthy may lead to the removal of the claim. A repeated offense would lead to a removal of the Coven.

No Vampire may use another Vampire's claimed doll without permission of the Vampire. Permission should be asked, always. Should it be proven that this is the result of a misleading doll, the offended Vampire will have the power to punish his/her doll as they see fit. Should it be the Vampire's fault, the punishment will be a death.

No gross abuse of a doll will be tolerated. Punishment should be proportional to the fault. Constant physical or mental abuse of a doll (excluding feeding) will not be tolerated.

Vampire/Doll interactions. Aside from intercourse, interactions between vampires and dolls when a doll is unclaimed must be noted to a coven elder. Vampires who have claimed Dolls take responsibility for anything that happens to the Doll, unclaimed dolls however will become the responsibility of whomever they are in the presence of if something should happen.

Boundaries. Vampires and Dolls alike have free rein of the streets and surrounding territory, with few places being off limits. However, there is always a present danger, be it the cold temperatures, the wild life, or something else. So it is smart to never go to far from the safety of the coven.

Check ups. Weekly check ups with Anastasiya Glazkov are required

Doll Rights

Dolls have rights to be properly fed, groomed, and clothed.

Dolls may refuse to be claimed, and turned.

Dolls may not refuse being bitten. Unless the doll has been fed upon in the last few days or has been claimed and a vampire aside from theirs wishes to feed.

Dolls have rights to a warm place of lodging. Lodging will be provided, if a doll is claimed it is strongly requested that the doll(s) stay with their vampire.

Dolls are allowed lives. They are given the same movement freedoms as the vampires they live among, as well as being allowed jobs where they may make a reasonable salary.

Disappearing Dolls. Dolls just as Vampires who wish to leave are welcome to at their own risk, however if a claimed doll or a doll in the presence of a vampire when last seen goes missing. The Vampire will be held accountable and must have a reasonable explanation for the disappearance. If however, a doll had however come to Alaska of their own choosing, they are free to leave, being escorted from the area for safe return home by one of the higher up in command. If a Doll was sent for disciplinary reasons said doll may not leave without approval of the coven that sent them.

Jobs

With rare exceptions, everyone should have a job. You will be paid very well for whatever it is you do (based on the location of the settlement, obviously), but you are also expected to pay for your own bills: food, clothing, shelter, luxuries, etc. Due to the remoteness of the place, the settlement might not have various jobs that you might find in 'normal' cities around the world. Whatever the job is that you'd like to have for your character needs to make sense within the environment presented. Below you will find a list (thought not a final list) of jobs in the settlement to date, and which character(s) currently occupy them:
