History
Diana grew up like any normal kid two parents, small house in the city suburbs. The neighborhood was a little rough but with her dad being a cop, and her mom a nurse. Most people tended to either steer clear or respect them enough not to bother them much. Diana was a fairly good kid, god good grades and marks. She was just always a little strange, the type of girl that loved lizards, spiders, mud, and kickball. Her dad chalked it up to being a tomboy. And her mom just tried to keep up with the critters she brought home and the clothes she seemed to go through like paper.
As she grew up Diana didn't seem to really fit into any one group of kids. She always was the odd man out, or the strange kid that seemed to get into trouble. In truth her parents were proud of her grades, but had no idea what to do about her behavior. For the longest time they just didn't know what to do. But with money tight and hours at work long, Diana being a little strange was the least of their problems.
Diana got used to having to take care of herself, not because her parents didn't love her. But more so because life was hard, and they just didn't have time to be the stay at home always watchful type. Which is probably why she started to rebel and sneak out. It wasn't because she was some troubled kid, or abused no. It was simply because she could, and she wanted to experience things while she could. Because your meant to screw things up when your young. It's the whole point of learning form your actions.
The one constant person in her life was her cousin Kylie, they grew up pretty close and working well together. Diana made clothes for her all the time while Kylie helped encourage her unique nature. They were thick as thieves till the day Kylie vanished. It hurt Diana so badly to lose the girl she thought of as a sister. That is until she saw her picture in a paper during her travels. There she was after over a year of being missing and just standing at some club opening. Diana comes to NOLA to confront her cousin and to find out just why she vanished.
After having a slight falling out with her cousin Diana got a call from an old friend. He was in Alaska, and despite the cold she made the long trek up there to see him. Nick had been the boy she always ran after, her best friend and the boy she loved yet could never admit it to. What she didn't know was he was a shifter, and them being so close brought up an interesting problem for her parents. What Di didn't know what her mother was a witch in fact there was a history of it there family. A history they were trying to hide until Di's heritage came into play. But Nick's family feared that Di would try and make Nick their familiar and not understanding or approving of the bound they moved their family away, and broke poor Di's heart as well as delaying her wakening.
