Appearance
Jessica is petite and delicate. Although she's well passed the age of being carded in bars, her youthful looks are still giving her grief. Her curves are modest but not negligible or absent, but rather proportional to her delicate frame. It is a wonder how something so small can shift into a bear.
Personality
Jessica is sociable, ready to help and very understanding. As an inspector and supervisor of the oil rig, she definitely shows her spine. She doesn't take crap from anyone, men or women, even if they're sometimes twice her size. She is very goal oriented and she applies this to work. When off work, she is far more relaxed, and if it weren't for her love of walks in nature, she'd easily be labelled couch potato. Nothing like a good book or a good movie, near the fire, snuggling in a blanket and having a snack. She loves to laugh, has a great sense of humor even if she doesn't tend to make jokes herself, and loves to tease people when they put their foot in their mouth. Being fair though, when she's the one who has had her foot in her mouth, she graciously accepts being laughed at.

Kermode Bear (Sub species of the black bear, with a cream-colored coat)
Ons & Offs

History
Jessica is born of two Kermode bears shifters. It was no surprise then when she shifted into one in her late teenage years. Her childhood in Anchorage was nothing more normal. She went to school, made some friends, been picked on by bigger girls, was always chosen last when it came to sports because she was tiny and lacked the strength and energy to be good at team sports.
Where she lacked in sports, however, she gained in intelligence. She went through school like a breeze, never studying, barely paying attention in class and almost always coming out at the top. She went through college a year earlier than she should, having skipped classes during high school, and her civil engineering degree led her... nowhere. She wasn't really an engineer, even though she could draw just as well as they, but still. After almost a year of looking for a job anywhere in the States, Jessica was ready to give up and rethink her career path. Maybe finish that engineering degree...
She got a job while she waited for the university to tell if she was accepted or not. It was at the back end of nowhere, but it was a job and there was a very nice pay. As she studied the place some more, she noted that she would have plenty of space to run as a bear and that, in itself, was a good enough incentive. Jessica took the job and landed in Nuiqsut a few days later.
