Appearance
Brice is a large, muscular man with an imposing bearing, but a confident smile. He's possessed of model good looks and a steady gaze that bears out his experiences with other people and his natural leadership ability.
He has a bear tattoo on his upper right arm and a thunderbird on his upper left, signifying his embracing of his shifter and native American roots.
Personality
Without a doubt, confidence is the number one thing people think of when Brice comes to mind. He seems to be certain of everything he does, and has a great belief in himself to be able to do what he wants and needs to to get a job done. In his long life, he's managed to make friends with a lot of people, and being a people-person helps towards that. The werebear comes off in him with his friendly, everyone-is-cool-with-me approach. He doesn't have a single prejudiced bone in his body, coming from an ancestry of French Canadian and Native American. His family is very open and accepting of people, and has been so since before they arrived in the New World in the 1600s.
Despite this, Brice can go long periods without human contact, spending, as he would call it, 'quality time with nature'. He is a believer in the ancient myths of Gaia, the Earth Mother, and his entire family has kept up that belief for time immemorial. Oftentimes, when traveling in his homeland of Canada, he'll go in his animal form for hundreds of miles through the wilderness--he'll tell people that getting there is half of the fun, and he really believes it. He's also an honorable man, always keeping his promises, honoring his bargains, and telling the truth.
However, anyone who foolishly spends the effort to work on his patience will see a different side of him. He has a hugely long fuse, but because of that, when it blows, it will have built up to epic proportions. Being a werebear, he can have a terrible temper towards people who've made him an enemy. He especially despises those who despoil the earth for their own selfish gain.
Brice has a soft spot for women in his heart; he can't deny it, though he isn't really a lady's man. He's a one woman type, though he hasn't had much luck in his life with finding that one special woman to settle down with. Considering he's especially picky about who he falls for, it isn't a surprise he's never been married. He can be taken advantage of because he believes people are generally good-natured, and he's trusting to a fault. Again, it is part of his werebear core, being so accepting, because he really isn't afraid of anything, even dying--he's too big and brave to expect anything bad to happen to him. What he worries about though, in his heart, are things that might happen to those he cares about, and not being able to protect them if he fails. The Earth itself is on that list, as well as his family.

Ons & Offs
Ons: D/s...Brice is a caring, nuturing dominant, but that doesn't mean he's vanilla when it comes to sex. He likes variety, and a little bit of pain here and there, as he's tough and needs a challenge when it comes to a woman. He enjoys a woman who fights back and isn't afraid to push him to his limits.
Offs: Bathroom play, pain for pain's sake, immature and unimaginative women.
History
Brice was born in 1926 to werebear parents, in a small were-community dedicated to the worship of Gaia in the reaches of the Northwest Territory in Canada. He had an older brother, Givenchy, and both enlisted in the army when World War Two broke out. While he was assigned to an icebreaker (and in the army no less!) for guard duty off the coast of his homeland, assisting freighters bound for the front, his brother was killed at Normandy Beach on D-day, despite his great were healing--he was struck nearly spot-on by a German 88mm artillery shell, blasting him to pieces.
After the war, he returned home, working in his home as a carpenter and hunter. It wasn't until the 1960s that he actually went out into the world again, and this time he became a wanderer, spending time in many places in the world, working as a merchant mariner, on road construction in Nigeria, relief work in Burma and Laos, even as a mercenary for the rebels in Angola against South African domination. He spent several years then as a mercenary, fighting for Communist, Democratic, and even anarchist causes, always against those who would seek to control others and take away their freedoms.
By the late 2000s, he made his way back to North America, weary of fighting, and wanting to reconnect with his homeland. He spent some more years in his home town, then heard of a settlement in Alaska where weres, vampires, and humans could live in peace. Intrigued and enheartened by this place of prosperity and peace, he headed there to find out for himself if it was as accommodating as it was spoken of.
