As far as I can tell its just been ignored entirely. The reason for the delays it appears has been lack of agreement between Trump and the Republicans all along (though I may have misunderstood some reports) which is simply tragic... while US citizens struggle and their companies fail. It speaks volumes of who it is that the GOP cares about.

If it weren't for the fact that Mr. Oniya had to go to bed an hour ago (to wake up at 2AM for his shift) I was going to yell out there that we'd gotten a total of $1800 over the 9 months of the pandemic - including this pending $600.  That comes out to $200 a month.  Rent/mortgages around here are at least four times that amount, possibly more.

Untrue if they allege concurring state crimes which they were not pardoned for. And it still doesn’t obligate them to cooperate with or speak to any investigation.

What a mess the USA political system is. It needs to be dragged into the 21st century. It strikes me there is a mass of hero-worship or even minor-god-worship for the drafters of the Constitution and a lot of USA procedural laws go back to when the country was in a pioneer status with a dangerous western boundary and a great lack of communication across vast distances (Electoral College system). Americans rant about the British monarchy and how much freer they are but I actually think the reverse is true. There is no pardon system in the UK and I'm not aware of one anywhere else in Europe and it strikes me as someone else here mentioned a page or so back that it seems like some feudal remnant that needs to be ended.

It has taken a loose cannon like Trump to highlight these issues and I hope that the future will hold changes in the light of 2020 which would be a very positive and ironic good outcome of Trumps lunatic time in the White House. He bent and tried to break the system and its highlighted its weaknesses, now is the time to ensure no other nutjob can do the same in future.

We have all the freedoms, because that's what they tell us. We have the best everything, because that's what they tell us. Their is a lot of hyper-agressive super-nationalism in this country, and most of it is used to justify laziness. We also enshrine smart-sounding slicksters, instead of actual thinkers.

Not yet. Usually, pardons go through a bureaucratic process that ensures that the recipients are deserving, but Trump has ignored the process entirely for his entire Presidency. Congress and the courts have no say in pardons at all, as the law currently stands.
