Its always good when you can laugh at yourself. Maybe once January rolls around we here will be able to start laughing at ourselves again too, instead of cringing and wincing in pain.

Putin recognises Mr Biden, its very chilly though. With Mr Obama, and Mr Trump, he always he hopes, for more better relatons, between US and Russia. He doesnt say this, at all, for Mr Biden.

I'm thinking this is more of a message to Trump than to Biden.  He's basically telling Trump that his usefulness is over.  That 'Trump Tower Moscow' is never gonna break ground.   >:)

No-one wants him as their neighbour. I'm surprised.

As I recall he was a pain BEFORE he became President. Afterwards he cost the city a TON in security and toss in traffic issues every time he visited..

You do realize, even if there was a good reason for the militiary to deploy on US soil, they really don't want to have to babysit utterly untrained civilians hopping up on their gun fetish, right?

Like seriously the Army asking rando civilians for help in armed conflict is ridiculous, the smartass in me wants to ask if there's another reason these sort of people are actually so dedicated to the war on drugs, what the actual fuck are you smoking?

Oh, I realize it quite well. These fuckers are hopped up on some sort of Mad Max-inspired idea of the apocalypse happening, and how they'll go from effectively being no one, to some sort of wasteland surviving badass of one breed or another.

Bit belated but just realized something. Both Trump and Biden took a distinction previous held by George HW Bush. Trump is now the latest incumbent to lose reelection and Biden is now the latest VP to be elected President (different years for Bush, but still).

Also, they left out a very important word.  It's the 2018 Executive order on Foreign Voter Interference.  It covers what to do if foreign governments or their representatives affect (or try to affect) the outcome of a U.S. election.  It deals a little with U.S. citizens, but only in terms of them aiding and abetting foreign nationals in their voter fraud schemes, and there's nothing about deploying troops of any kind.

Here's the Snopes debunk.

I might be missing something here. According to that article:

"McConnell told his conference that such a move would force every single one of them into a "terrible vote" in which they would have to go on the record in affirming that President Donald Trump did indeed lose the November election."

Why is it a "terrible vote" to contest Biden as 46? They've been doing that since Nov 3rd. I don't see how objecting to Biden as the next president in any way is to them an acceptance that Trump lost. To them he didn't lose.

Oniya

It would be 'terrible' (in his opinion) because it would be in the form of an official on-the-record vote.  It's kind of like how Giuliani and company would have press conferences about all the 'voter fraud', but wouldn't bring anything nearly as damning as they claimed they had out in front of a judge.  There are legal penalties for perjury.

Right now, the Rs are doing the equivalent of those press conferences:  Posturing to try to keep on the same side as the mob of Trumpists.  They have a chance of that fading into the background of the history books with all the other media posturing.  Putting it into an official Congressional vote focuses history's lens a bit more tightly.

There's a famous scene in the musical '1776', where the colony of Pennsylvania is the last called to vote on the issue of American independence, the other colonies having voted in favor.  Franklin asks that the delegate be polled, and (of course) votes in favor.  John Dickinson votes against.  Judge Wilson is the deciding vote.  He can either vote in favor, tip Pennsylvania to 'Yea' and be one of many - or vote against, tip Pennsylvania to a 'Nay', and be one of two individuals to prevent the Declaration from being passed.  He opts for comfortable anonymity, and the Declaration is adopted.

This is what happens when private citizens (aka Trump cultists) hire an ex-cop to investigate election fraud.

I need to get into the scamming conservatives business.

Take their money and fund shit that would make them rage, like planned parenthood and refugee relief charities.
