I mean...I dont. But it's nice to have the option. We can call it experience points to full supervision.

I've only hugged you like that....seventeen times.

What kind of books does Tris read? :D

And “teaching a class” is not a euphemism. 😛

I did not mean it as a euphemism. I meant literally.
Since Kaine and Tris could have died, I assume Marley started giving GiGi more teaching responsibilities during the Eclipse and has continued them now.

If I didn't count, you'd think I wasn't taking me folding you in half like Lenny and that pretty white gal from Of Mice & Men seriously.

Some sort of modern or medieval fantasy.  If not, historical.  :)

Sounds interesting! I’ll try to make a sheet for this!

Am I able to request a hold on a face claim? I’m hoping to use Adam Driver. :D

Yes ma'am! Adam is all yours. ;D
I know the internet is split on Adam Driver, but I honestly love him. He's got such a unique, awkward yet stoic personality.
Also, he does a lot of good work for soldiers and mental health.

Woo, here’smy shot at a character sheet! :3

Vergil “V” Porter

Nicknames: V
Age: 23
Build: 6 ft 3 in / 200 lbs
Hair: Onyx Black
Eyes: Blue-grey
Origin: Earth
Gender Identity: Male
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual

Face Claim: Adam Driver

Role: Student
Designation: Cardinal (Honestly he’s been their for so long he should be considered a Supervisor)
Superpowers:

  • Shadow Manipulation - Manipulation over his own Shadow. Can shape and morph his shadow into certain physical forms, as long as his mind wills it.
  • Hellish Lightning - The power to generate and release streaks of lighting from his hands. Colored a haunting purple, this power is only kept on reserve, as it drains Vergil of his already deteriorated physical strength immensely.

Personality:

  • Relaxed - While some may think of him as being blunt or not caring, Vergil simply isn’t the type to distress or panic over matters that can easily be fixed or avoided. He will help others if they ask him, but just expect him to have a calm attitude over small matters.
  • Introspective - Perhaps due to his love of literature and poetry, Vergil has been known to be a source of advice for others. Rather then tackling an issue with brute force or angered words, he chooses to listen to those that come to him, and to give advice that is meaningful.
  • Humble - Vergil isn’t one to praise himself over his abilities, and doesn’t try to show off to others (unless asked to by the younger students). More so then anything, he praises others of their strengths and even their faults, as surprisingly, people need to hear that they are worth something, even if they themselves do not believe.
  • Cautious - In both battle and regular life, Vergil has to be careful in how he proceeds with situations, as his physical abilities have been dramatically weakened due to the Eclipse. He has become accustomed to taking his time, usually giving dry humor to those that complain to him that he is taking too long.
  • Pragmatic - While he shows others an idealistic sense when they need advice, Vergil is one to show others the more realistic sense in their worries or concerns when asked. Himself knowing personally, the world isn’t full of good people.

Backstory: The Porter Family had been one of strange and often mysterious circumstances, as Vergil’s life has been one shrouded in secrecy and lies. Unlike a normal youth who would live in the city, farm land, or off in the tropics, Vergil was forced to live within a dilapidated house, off on the outskirts of the city. Seemingly abandoned and thought to be empty, his family lived there, just himself and his parents.

Them, and a group of other individuals, who seemed to all be keeping something from Vergil.

His parents were used to telling Vergil that he was special, that he was to become something that no one could ever dream of. Vergil, forced to hear this each day by his parents, and to the others that lived within their home, began to wonder what exactly he was being groomed for. At the age of 12, Vergil began to notice what exactly his family was getting themselves into, or rather, his parents. Each night they would sneak off into the night, their members joining them, all seemingly for some important purpose. Leaving Vergil alone, the only young soul there, he was forced to occupy his time with whatever he had, which happened to be books of literature and poetry. They always told him that the outside world was dangerous, and unsure of his own suspicions, Vergil stayed in his home, each night, unaware of what his parents were doing.

That was, until the eve of his 16th birthday.

Down, deep down below the home, was a cave. Seemingly carved by humans hands, the room was filled with old scripts and texts, and a lone stone table within the center of the room.

It was here that Vergil was given his purpose for why he was born, though by far it was not upon himself to make such a choice. His parents and the group they led believed in some form of power, something much stronger and otherworldly then any human could imagine. Vergil was to be their sacrifice, their vessel for such a deity they claimed existed. That night, Vergil was forced to fight for his life, as members of this cult came at him with weapons. Something triggered within him, and a power formed, as his shadow began to protect him as forms that his frightened mind could conjure.

A demonic bird, a panther made of black matter, anything that could protect himself.

Weakened and exhausted, the remaining cult members has found their opportunity, and seized Vergil from his stupor to restrain him against the stone table within the room. Unable to escape, his parents were the ones to gleefully inscribe incantations and images of the hellish tale of their god across his body. In their minds, their inscriptions etched within a human vessel would be the beginnings of their goal, but for Vergil, it was the truth to what he was being kept hidden from. Pain and torture, he passed out from the blood loss, but the damage to his skin, and his life, was done.

It would only be within another year that his powers would begin to manifest and take form, and with a purpose the members of the cult were eager to train their vessel to be the host to their god, once he was summoned.

All Vergil wanted was to be free, and to see the outside world.

With a persistence that he mustered seemingly in a night, Vergil began his plan to escape from the cult, and from his parents. With what little he had been scrounging to find and save, he took what he had in his back, and readied his plan.

The night came, and when he was to be brought for another session of madness and torture, he struck. His shadow formed that of the Panther once more, and fighting for his life, he brought his secret to the cult. His eyes nearly glowing a dark purple, streaks of purple lightning shot from his hand, and struck those within the room. Incapacitated, nearly at deaths door, Vergil took to his shadow and rode from the house in a flurry of panic and adrenaline, off into the night.

He had escaped, but only for so long before he had to think of a new plan, something to keep himself hidden. Vergil was forced to run, keep running to find any sort of safe haven; how could he however, when he knew nothing of the world outside? It was days before he found himself somewhere new, somewhere he had never been to.

A house, that was somewhat big, and away from the eyes of the city.

It was all he could see before exhaustion consumed him.

Participant in the Eclipse: Yes
After the Eclipse: The Eclipse was an event that affected many that participated. While many suffered mental injuries from the event, for Vergil it was much different. Call it a divine act of fate, or something merely random, but the Eclipse affected him physically. He can’t seem to explain it, but the event drained him physically, to the point that his original strength was cut a third of what it used to be. His body, which was much stronger and versatile, became weakened, his energy was cut as well, causing him to get fatigued more often than not, something that was obviously a danger to himself and others around him. After the event, Vergil was forced to live this new lifestyle, somewhat disabled from the Eclipse, and forced to walk with a cane to help carry himself after the battle.

Character Ons: Foreplay, Oral sex, Anal Sex, Dirty Talk, Lovemaking (poor man needs love), romance, light touches and slow kisses, heartfelt sentiments (Anything else? PM me!)
Character Offs: Fire, Violence, toilet stuff

Desired Plots & Connections:

  • Simply an idea that I had in my head (though it’s all up to the GMs of course!), but was curious to see if there could actually be a connection between Vergil’s cult family, and what happened at the Eclipse! Especially with Vergil's weakened state because of it, it would be fun to explore!
  • Anyone wanna see a comeback with the Porter Family Cult? Could be an interesting plot line to get people involved in!
  • Poor Vergil doesn’t have much in terms of interaction, and the man needs some form of affection. Would love to see a slow burn romance for him with someone if interested.

A few things, mostly timeline based.

A. A "cult" in this world would just be a group of supervillains, bent on some form of world domination. Anything to do with body possession I'm not interested in playing in this game. People tend to get pissed off when it happens to their characters, and this game is for the Human Bondage section -- too much possession and it borders on Exotic. I also highly, highly doubt anyone would be worshiping the Great Unknown. Until a year ago, no one knew it existed. It literally tried to destroy humanity, and we don't know enough about it to be worshiping it... yet.

B. Cardinals have only been at the school for three years. That's not forever. Especially since he participated in the Eclipse, which basically would have meant he left the school for six months or maybe more.

B. I'm also going to ask that you change both your powers. Eric can already manipulate shadow, and both Barry and Kaine (and Amber, technically) can manipulate electricity in various ways. Please have a look at the Approved Characters thread to see what powers are already taken.

Again, this game is a fusion of X-Men Evolution, Mad Max and Super Friends. I'm looking for light hearted characters trying to function in a dystopian world.
They also have to fit with the existing twelve characters and the timeline.

Not hard feelings.

However, I would encourage you to read through the background posted on the first page and the Approved Character's thread if you want to resubmit.
Keep in mind, the Cathedral was a party house -- it still is a party house, just with slightly more structure.
