Keep in mind, the Cathedral was a party house -- it still is a party house, just with slightly more structure.

Oh ok. I didn’t know that the Cathedral was still a party house, or that cults don’t exist in this world? I would have assumed that the world would be somewhat normal, in terms of it being like our own except for the super powers thing. There's not much info on the word other then it returning to normal recently, but I don't even know what normal is in this world.

Though if you’re only looking for lighthearted characters, I’m not sure what I’ve created really fits with what you specifically want.

I'm not going to blame you for not reading the 10+ pages of discussion we've had on the world so far, on this board.

However, all characters thus far are heavily interested in mischief and romance against a dystopian backdrop, whereas your character seems more focused on destroying a cult. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but again, I don't think he's right for this game.

I'm not trying to pick a fight with you, but I think we have different expectations. My apologies for any confusion.

Nah it’s ok. I just wish this info would have been in the background section, so I would have been more informed on what exactly the idea for this game is.

I have a friend applying for a character :)

I had a decent concept in mind. That she is my characters ex fiance, who were totally into each other, but after the events of the eclipse, things just fell apart, some fighting happened, and now they're distant.

Is this an ok concept?

Hi! Good question.
First, the powers should be plausible (eg. something from the list I posted on the first page).
Second, if someone has that power or it is too similar, I’ll ask you to change it.

Off the top of my head, here are some classic ones no one has:
Invisibility
Force Field Creation
Illusion Manipulation
Any Vision Power except for Chrono and Probability Vision  (there are a lot of these LOL)
Matter Manipulation (eg. fire, water, earth, etc. From a character standpoint, your character having fire manipulation would be real interesting for Tristyn)
Superior Intellect
Superior Accuracy
Shape Shifting

Again, the website I linked has hundreds of options.

But yes, we could certainly use some kind of matter manipulator. So far we have a lot of Force Manipulators (gravity, electrical, density) and energy manipulators but not matter. There are sub abilities within Fire Manipulation too, if you look on that website.

@Wired - I was thinking.  Gigi is probably great at logistics and planning with her probability sight.  Instead of being a teaching aid she could be working on logistics for the Cathedral.  She probably isn’t thrilled with it but she would be damn good at it.  Maybe she reviews the long term planning Marley comes up with and analyzes it for viability based on known factors and projections based on likely scenarios.

Hahaha, works for me. Marley is super organized so it wouldn’t be very difficult to give GiGi the information she would need to compute any calculations. She’d keep GiGi in the dark about finances though, even though that’s the main reason all of Marley’s plans got denied by the ISO.

If Kaine wants to do so, go for it! Seems like a plausible direction. You'd likely be working for the ISO or other gangs/bandits -- whomever is left after the Eclipse.

Marley wouldn't volunteer, but she'll show up if/when things go sideways for Kaine, to ensure he actually gets paid. Actually, that's a good plot point. On days Kaine doesn't teach, he's been disappearing for hours here and there, and Marley is like 'What the Fuck Kaine'. She likes the extra money, because they secretly need it, but she hates his methods.

Remember, both the ISO and the gangs you'd work for are predominately run by powerful supers who also survived the Eclipse -- they'd be the same power level as Kaine. So if Kaine does fight them or threaten them or even disagree with them, there is going to be consequences (often he's likely going to get hurt and double crossed, or the ISO will retreat even further). That's why Marley is so upset that he's helping literally anyone else. It's a huge risk, with a huge payoff. Like she would fight with him about this.
