I think...if the entire race is supposed to be bad, then his father would be ashamed, and while he wouldn't hide that he was an alien, he wouldn't go into great detail as he'd want to keep him away from that part of his life.  If it's just the root cause of the eclipse, and not the entire race, then he'd probably give him basic info, but again completely cross over anything involving eclipse guy to spare his son knowing the potential evil his people can inflict.

And yeah if he knows it's people he could technically be related to, or at least he should have a connection with, he's gonna feel bad when he like...rips them apart or explodes their ships with them inside.

I haven't decided if the Great Unknown is actually one or multiple people/aliens. I'll have to think on that for a day or two.
Otherwise, seems fine to me.

Sorry for the double post. But as for teaching he is teaching a motorcycle riding and mechanics course in the mornings.  And evenings he teaches a training course on focusing, like how to keep cool in battle. How not to over exhort yourself, how to unlock hidden inner will power.

The Cathedral seems to be funded by some entity to an extent to have so many people living and training there. I figure whoevers footing the bill would have food brought in weekly and meals catered and such. Or have a live in chef who is also a super with a power centered around cooking or something.

Cath was externally funded when they went public two years ago. I assumed their was an organization of supers they had to verify in.

But I was more taking in the post-Apocalyptic world they live in now. Food isn't fancy anymore. Heatwave destroyed a lot of crops, too.

Some. A lot of people died and a lot of businesses were flat out destroyed.
Those that survived are currently recovering, which includes the Cathedral. The super power organization that funded the Cathedral is still around, just not as strong as it once was.

• Stoic - He is often deemed as quiet or withdrawn.  However, due to the incident that disfigured his frame he is now just mainly shy.   So he puts up an emotionless front to convey a sense of fear he might be holding
• Quick Thinker - Tristyn always has a calculated plan of execution. He never really attacks without some idea running throughhai thoughts.
  At times it may come off like he jumps in head first, which will do without hesitationfor friends. Yet each move is calm and collected.
• Book Smart - One wouldn't think it from his history as a bad kid.
  However, Tristyn is very well educated.  Growing up in his grandparents bookstore he found a love for books, and more often than not he can be found reading alone.
• Dutyful - He constantly replays the promise he made to his grandmother to "be best version of hinself."  So he subtly feels obligated to protect and help those around him. Thus the reason he entered the eclipse.
• Mechanically Inclined - Growing up not only his grandmother's bookstore, he both learned and worked at his grandfathers motorcycle shop.  Obtaining knowledge as he grew brought his lover for motorcycle to a new level.

Backstory: Tristyn grew up living with his grandparents. (Of which he may never find out aren't his real grandparents, but just an old couple who took him in when they found him abandoned as a baby).  Pap owned a motorcycle shop on the edge of town while Memaw own and ran the local bookstore/cafe. Tris would spend countless hours at either place learning what he could, how he could. When at the book store he tried to find out what the numbers imprinted on his left pectoral meant, 00-00-07.

Due to not being from a traditional family he was often picked on.  And in one particular fight he sent a kid flying with his thoughts. Expelled from multiple schools, he found himself often on the wrong side of the law. When he turned 21, an all night drunken binge ended up with him doing 18 months hard time.  Finally he was released on good behavior and to visit his grandmother who was passing away. 

With her final words being "Tristyn, be the best version of yourself, I know you have potential to be everything and more..." The young man promised with tear filled eyes. This is the point he turned himself around and even decided to fight in the eclipse events.

Waking up from the events however was different, he had forgotten a majority of what happened and came to find himself disfigured with burns across his left bicep, up the left side of his neck, and his left pectoral.  He had seemed to have taken an attack of sorts.

Now he spends his days mostly in solitude away from others judgement, even though there is little from others. Often working on his Indian motorcycle or reading when he isnt training himself or teaching a class to the others.

After the Eclipse: Tristyn was one of the few to volunteer to safe the planet.  He wasn't in it for the glory, he just had a promise to keep to his mother after he tried something stupid when he was young. He fought valiantly from what little he could remember.  However, he doesnt remember much.  His last images in his head were a dark shadow engulfing him and then waking up with his body burnt and charred across hia left torso, left arm, and a bit up the left side of his neck.  He often keeps it hidden as it reminds him of the horrific event.

Likely. But, some members of the Cathedral would likely want to rely less on external aid. Then other people can touch your shit whenever they want.

Hi. Either way works. It depends more on his dad, and less on the world. The world knows some aliens exist, due to some of the more popular supers on Earth. They likely didn't know of Kaine's specific race of aliens until the Great Unknown attacked, and even then, might still not know.

• Extreme Raw Power - The reason Kaine is so big and heavy is because his body is designed to withstand the insane amount of stress it undergoes due to him simply using his abilities. As for what his abilities are, due to his hybrid genetics, he has access to the same racial powers as his father's species, however his human DNA has enhanced his output to a staggering degree. Kaine can freely control the physical power of his body, increasing it by percentages all the way up to 100%, and even further in life or death situations, although this will cause incredible damage to his body. This includes strength, speed, agility, durability, etc... This is possible due to an energy nucleus near his core that generates bio-energy that can be manipulated within his body to gain the desired effect. He can even focus the power in a specific part of his body, like a fingertip for example. With his powers he can become strong enough to easily toss vehicles, create sonic booms with his speed, and cause shockwaves with his punches. Although he's rarely shown the full extent of his powers, he was one of the few heroes strong enough to make a real difference during the Eclipse. 


• Weather Manipulation - By focusing his bio-energy out into the world, instead of inward through his body, he can cause meteorological changes in the environment around him like high winds, tornadoes, storms, and blizzards. He doesn't like to use this power much because once he's changed the weather, it's much harder to change it back, and the effects are usually felt long after he's done. 

Personality:

• Adaptable - Kaine can go with the flow. No matter the situation, he has a way of getting along with it as best he can without too much struggle.
• Contemplative - A being from beyond the stars, Kaine knows little of his heritage, but he knows enough to make him wonder. Not only about where he came from, but what else is out there, who is out there. What about the things here? He can often be found in a quiet spot staring out into space or writing in his notebooks. Or zoning out during a gym session.
• Decisive - Once he sets his mind on something, Kaine is like a laser and is 100% dedicated to getting it done.
• Friendly - Kaine's just a likeable guy. You can't help but smile when you're around him. He can't help it, as it's just who he is. But he does enjoy people, so he considers it a blessing.
• Mischievous - He does enjoy his fun. It was one of the reasons he ended up at the Cathedral in the first place. He felt the world on his shoulders due to his parents pressuring him to follow as a hero in their footsteps, but he just wanted to have some fun. Years later he still does, but the irony isn't lost on him that he helped save the world and is now known all over, just like they'd hoped.

Backstory: His subject number is 00-00-02. It's tattooed on the back of his neck, but seems to have been altered somehow.

Kaine's mother, Terahne Parker, was an astronaut who got pulled into an event horizon during an interstellar mission. She was thought lost, but in actuality, had survived the wormhole and was spit out the other side lightyears away, and four years older...and a batch of nifty super powers. Alone in space, trillions of miles from home, with a nearly dead ship and no way to communicate, she considered suicide to spare herself the painful death of suffocation and starvation.

Her new abilities made it possible for her to survive, and even to leave her drifting ship in search for civilization. She found a planet nearby in the shadow of a red dwarf, and found alien life, but similar enough to humans that she wasn't afraid. She fell in love with one of them after meeting several as an envoy from Earth. His name was Ka'har, and he was a General of their armies.

After a time, she became homesick and wanted to return to Earth. Ka'hars' love for Terahne was so great, he left his home behind to be with her, and together the two of them left his planet in his ship and began the long journey to Earth. Along the way, Terahne got pregnant, and ended up birthing their son Kaine as they neared Earth's orbit. Terahne and Ka'har decided that the world wasn't quite ready to know about him yet. While it was true that plenty of aliens had come to Earth and were supers of renown, a case of an alien-human hybrid was unheard of.

For their sons sake, they cloaked the ship and landed it on the outskirts of her hometown, then she used her cosmic powers to return to the surface under her own power and give a debrief to NASA's exploratory division. After that, she used her new powers to fight crime as a super, and Ka'har did the same, using a false identity created for him by Terahne and the few people she trusted to reveal his identity to.

As he grew up, Kaine noticed at a young age that he was different from other kids. He was harder, better, faster...stronger. When he was ten, he was told of his father's alien nature, although his parents were vague on the details, only telling him to keep it a secret. As he continued to grow, he was trained in the use of his powers so one day he could be a super, but eventually the pressure got to him and he ran away for a while, where he ended up at the Cathedral and met his best friends in the entire world.

When the Eclispe happened, he was chomping at the bit to defend Earth, and did just that, trying to convince his friends to help, as all of them were fairly powerful in their own right. He fought alongside his parents as well as Tristyn to repel the unkown evil that attacked them. At the end of the day, Earth won, although the victory was hard fought, and the sacrifices of those who didn't make it out the other side still weigh on Kaine to this day.

So he began to train and work on focusing his telekinetic energy to manifest as a form of force that he applies to his physical attacks. So kicks and punches deal more damage.  This is an early stage ability. So when he over exhorts himself, he tends to have nose bleeds and has even blacked out a few times, earning him the nickname Blackout.

Hm, yeah. I was thinking about how Gia's powers interact with Marley. I assume she can see into Marley's past, even if Marley doesn't remember it? :)

Yes, she should be able to, but this brings up a question on how looking into the past works.

1)  Past is fixed, once a person has lived their life it is set in stone to anyone looking back.  This is how most people view the past.

2) There are many ways to get to the same place.  Although there are some major past events that fix the general path way.
Major events would be like the Eclipse, Marley's memory lost.  Inside those major events, there are several pathways that a person could have taken.  It would take Gia asking questions to really trace this person's personal timeline.    If that makes sense.   This idea sorta follows the Many Worlds Theory from Quantum Physics.

A way I like to view it:  think of a Tree: Present is near top of trunk, just below where branches split off.  Going up(future) more and more branches happen.  As you go down(past) for a while there is one path until you start going underground where roots branch off.  Underground represents where the past becomes obfuscated from loss of detail.

Of course Gia can only follow the most probably timelines for others and doesn't have control at the moment

Superpowers:

• Telekinesis - The ability to manipulate physical matter with his mind.
• Telepathy - The ability to read thoughts and / or project messages mentally.   This abilityis currently dormant and he doesn't understand why. Truthfully it was "turned off" by the doctors when he was abducted and experimented on.
• Psionic Focus - After the Eclipse, he grew angry with himself for being so weak in his own eyes. So he began to train and work on focusing his telekinetic energy to manifest as a form of force that he applies to his physical attacks. So kicks and punches deal more damage.  This is an early stage ability. So when he over exhorts himself, he tends to have nose bleeds and has even blacked out a few times, earning him the nickname Blackout.

Personality:

• Stoic - He is often deemed as quiet or withdrawn.  However, due to the incident that disfigured his frame he is now just mainly shy.   So he puts up an emotionless front to convey a sense of fear he might be holding
• Quick Thinker - Tristyn always has a calculated plan of execution. He never really attacks without some idea running throughhai thoughts.
  At times it may come off like he jumps in head first, which will do without hesitationfor friends. Yet each move is calm and collected.
• Book Smart - One wouldn't think it from his history as a bad kid.
  However, Tristyn is very well educated.  Growing up in his grandparents bookstore he found a love for books, and more often than not he can be found reading alone.
• Dutyful - He constantly replays the promise he made to his grandmother to "be best version of hinself."  So he subtly feels obligated to protect and help those around him. Thus the reason he entered the eclipse.
• Mechanically Inclined - Growing up not only his grandmother's bookstore, he both learned and worked at his grandfathers motorcycle shop.  Obtaining knowledge as he grew brought his lover for motorcycle to a new level.

Backstory: Tristyn grew up living with his grandparents. (Of which he may never find out aren't his real grandparents, but just an old couple who took him in when they found him abandoned as a baby).  Pap owned a motorcycle shop on the edge of town while Memaw own and ran the local bookstore/cafe. Tris would spend countless hours at either place learning what he could, how he could.

Due to not being from a traditional family he was often picked on.  And in one particular fight he sent a kid flying with his thoughts. Expelled from multiple schools, he found himself often on the wrong side of the law. When he turned 21, an all night drunken binge ended up with him doing 18 months hard time.  Finally he was released on good behavior and to visit his grandmother who was passing away. 

With her final words being "Tristyn, be the best version of yourself, I know you have potential to be everything and more..." The young man promised with tear filled eyes. One last drinking binge ended up with Himalayan waking up in an alley way with a unique tattoo across his left Pectoral reading, 00-00-07. Thinking it was a blacked out tattoo he knew he had to change. This is the point he turned himself around and even decided to fight in the eclipse events.

Waking up from the events however was different, he had forgotten a majority of what happened and came to find himself disfigured with burns across his left bicep, up the left side of his neck, and his left pectoral.  He had seemed to have taken an attack of sorts.

Now he spends his days mostly in solitude away from others judgement, even though there is little from others. Often working on his Indian motorcycle or reading when he isnt training himself or teaching a class to the others.

After the Eclipse: Tristyn was one of the few to volunteer to safe the planet.  He wasn't in it for the glory, he just had a promise to keep to his mother after he tried something stupid when he was young. He fought valiantly from what little he could remember.  However, he doesnt remember much.  His last images in his head were a dark shadow engulfing him and then waking up with his body burnt and charred across hia left torso, left arm, and a bit up the left side of his neck.  He often keeps it hidden as it reminds him of the horrific event.

Yes, she should be able to, but this brings up a question on how looking into the past works.

1)  Past is fixed, once a person has lived their life it is set in stone to anyone looking back.  This is how most people view the past.

2) There are many ways to get to the same place.  Although there are some major past events that fix the general path way.
Major events would be like the Eclipse, Marley's memory lost.  Inside those major events, there are several pathways that a person could have taken.  It would take Gia asking questions to really trace this person's personal timeline.    If that makes sense.   This idea sorta follows the Many Worlds Theory from Quantum Physics.

A way I like to view it:  think of a Tree: Present is near top of trunk, just below where branches split off.  Going up(future) more and more branches happen.  As you go down(past) for a while there is one path until you start going underground where roots branch off.  Underground represents where the past becomes obfuscated from loss of detail.

Of course Gia can only follow the most probably timelines for others and doesn't have control at the moment

I need to decide what Marley's "breaking point" will be in terms of when she'll start believing her memories are tampered with then. She's in a very comfortable, very blissful denial stage currently.

I would say there wouldbe an underground empire(s) as well. 

There is always someone that would be wanting to corrupt or build their own empire(s).

Matter manipulators would be most valuable.  Particularly those of (Elemental breeding: Earth, Air, Fire, Water, Plants...even those Weather wielders.) 

Which would be rather valuable in rebuilding the world.

So, I've got all the courses requested.
No one teaches more than one course a day except for Marley, because she's doing Admin the rest of the week.

Both Tristyn and Dani get 4 day weekends, because Dani likes to party and Tristyn wants to work on his bikes.
Kaine and Eric also get 4 days off, but not consecutively.

Also, Friday's are for the boys.

Thoughts?
If you thought Cath was going to be easy, you'd be wrong. Supervisor's can teach anything they want in any of their courses.
Any 'Combat' courses could also be used as an extension of another course, should they see fit.

No Supervisor has a proper teaching degree, so they literally have free reign over what students do/need.
There are also things outside of this curriculum, including Chess Club (Jupiter), Counseling (Mars), Motorcycling (Tristyn), etc. but they aren't scheduled weekly.
