The Cathedral
(a super powered boarding house & training academy, with a mix of horror elements)

Background

The Cathedral is a boarding house, for young adults with superpowers. It also functions as a training academy. Supers have existed in the world for some time, however most are either lurking in the shadows or destined to be heroes. Five years ago, four super powered troublemakers found the house and used it to live and party in, away from their super powered responsibilities. Three years ago, other supers started appearing and asking for refuge. Two years ago, the Cathedral opened publicly, and saw an influx of supers. It has blocked curriculum, where most of the classes are taught by the original four supers.

One year ago, Earth was visited by an unknown entity who sought an Apocalypse and mass destruction. This event is referred to as the Eclipse. The Cathedral's stance on the Eclipse was neutral. If members wanted to volunteer, they could, but did not have to. There would always be a place for them, regardless.

Some members of the Cathedral, and a variety of other supers, managed to prevent the Eclipse from occurring and saved planet Earth. However, many supers died in order to save Earth and the planet's landscape was forever altered. Those volunteers who did survive are unknowingly marked for an upcoming event called the Harvest. However, life on Earth is slowly returning to 'normal'. Six months ago, new supers began coming to the Cathedral. Due to the events of the Eclipse, supers are now revered and respected unlike before. Not everyone in the Cathedral agrees.

Overarching Plots

• Blue Moon -- This is a period of renewal, as the Cathedral is rebuilding after the events of the Eclipse. Takes place in January, 2020.
• The Harvest -- This is a period of terror, as characters who participated in the Eclipse may be victims of mind-control. Takes place in April 2020.

Restrictions

• There will be a member cap, likely around 10-14 players. I'm seeking ~18 characters total.
• All characters must be approved by me before joining. If your character is too similar to one that I have already approved, I will ask you to change it.
• You may play up to 2 different characters, but each requires their own character sheet.
• There will be moderate GM involvement. There are some overarching plots for you to participate in (see above), but day to day is up to you.
• This story is NOT smut-focused. There will be smut, but it will be plot-related smut.
• The story will be posted in the Bondage: Human Small Groups section.

How to Complete your Character Sheet
Most points on the character sheet are self-explanatory, but here are some guidelines.

• Age -- 18 and up. If you are playing a supervisor, make them mid-20s or older.
• Origin -- If your character is human, put Earth. If they are an alien, list another planet of your choosing or own creation.
  Note: This game is located in the Human: Bondage section. If your character is alien, they must be physically human (e.g. like Superman).
  They cannot be a form of sentient matter who merely possess a human body or creates an illusion of a human body with their powers.
• Face Claim -- If your face claim is taken by someone else, I will ask you to change it (see list below).
• Role -- Choose supervisor or student. Update: Supervisor roles are filled. Open to more students only.
• Designation -- Effectively, this is how long your character has been at the Cathedral. Choose one of the four options:
  
  • Founding Four

    You are one of the original members of the Cathedral. You arrived 5 years ago, before it was a boarding house or training academy for supers. Back then, it was just a rad, abandoned mansion with no rules to party with your three best friends. Nowadays, you are a supervisor to many students. It is heavily implied that the Founding Four share a mysterious connection via their super powers.
    Update: We have our Founding Four! Spots are only open for the other three designations.
  • Cardinal

    You were one of the first members to approach the Cathedral, 3 years ago, before it was anything official. You needed a safe haven for your super powers, and the Founding Four reluctantly took you in. Nowadays, newer supervisors and students look up to you for guidance. How you found the Cathedral, and why you choose to stay is up to you.
  • Surge

    You came to the Cathedral when it was publicly named a boarding house and training academy for supers. You have been a member for 2 years, and are rather comfortable in your surroundings, though it was certainly different than what you were expecting. Your reasons for joining the Cathedral, and if you had other options at the time, are up to you.
  • Luminary

    You are one of the newest members of the Cathedral. You have been here for six months, and have only come to the Cathedral after the events of the Eclipse. Unlike most other members, you've seen both the lingering devastation of the Eclipse, and the newfound respect for supers. Whether or not you agree with the Cathedral's stance on these matters is up to you.
• Superpowers -- Maximum of 2 per character. Please choose 1-2 powers from this list of options.
• Personality -- Describe some traits of your character. This is a great list of options.
• Backstory -- Be as detailed or as secretive as you need to be, as long as it makes sense. If you've created an origin planet, describe it here.
• Participant in the Eclipse -- Just a 'yes' or 'no'. If you put 'yes', your character is marked for the Harvest.
• After the Eclipse -- Even if they did not participate as a volunteer, a near-Apocalypse has an effect on everyone. Could be personality or powers based.
• Desired Plots & Connections -- List some plot lines and connections you want for your character. Check out the Approved Characters for ideas.

Ok I'm thinking of being a founder (if approved) who fought in the eclipse and is now a supervisor. I'd like for him to have gotten hurt or burnt of that's possible. He used to be a good and active guy, the life of the party. Now hes withdrawn and distant and doesnt remember most of the fighting.

Absolutely you can play a Founding Four. It'll be fun having one of them who did the heroic thing. Maybe they tried to convince the other Founders and failed (up to you).
And battle scars/burns are totally cool. Marley would have quite a few herself, if not for her darn regeneration.

@Wired Rabbit: How do you feel about dealing with someone who has Precognition.  I know that it can be problematic for a GM to deal with.  If it is something you don't want to deal with, I can change it. :)

Question:  I have given her Precognition but what I would really like is that she can see into the past and into the future, the further away from her present, the foggier/less accurate her sight becomes.  She can see further into the past accurately then she can into the future.

  Gia can see her own timeline and all possibilities. 
  When she does it for others or small groups she can see the most probably future or past but she has no control.  As she learns how to control her powers, she will have more control over her visions. 
  For a look into the future or past for large groups: countries, human population, etc.  She can see all possibilities but doesn't know which is the current future or past.
  
• Supernatural Reflexes: - Because of her ability to see into the future, she can see things happen before they happen and plan out her reactions beforehand.

Personality:

• Haunted -   She has seen much death, surviving the Eclipse and then her visions into the future often deal with death.
• Flexible -  She has grown used to having to constantly change to changing circumstances, adjusting her plans on the fly.
• Casual -  She doesn't stand on formality or tradition.  You treat everyone equally.
• Frugal -  She has had to survive on very little for many years, now she is always careful about her resources and not wasting anything.
• Tired: -   She never gets quite enough sleep because of being plagued with visions/dreams of future catastrophe.

Backstory: Gia has always had visions of the future, but no one thought it was a superpower and her parents took her to lots of psychiatrist to try to control the visions with drugs.  Being constantly on drugs made her rather unfocused through her early life and many people thought she was strange because she would say things that would end up happening.  During high school, she participated in gymnastics and cheerleading, with the hope that it would that physically activity would help keep the visions away.  She was in her last year of High School when the Eclipse hit. Her hometown was hit hard.  A firestorm surged across the town, burning it down.  Gia's visions had giving her just enough warning to get into a sewer drain, but all her family and friends were killed.  Without the drugs to repress her visions, her precognition went into overdrive to where she was now constantly seeing the future.  It allowed her to survive as civilization fell apart after the immediate aftermath of the catastrophe.  She had heard of the Cathedral, a place for people with superpowers to go and learn to control their powers.  Several supers were also rumored to have lead the effort to stop the Eclipse.  Surely they could help her control her visions.
Participant in the Eclipse: No
After the Eclipse: The Eclipse destroyed her hometown, killing her family and all her friends.  She only survived by her powers becoming fully active.  She spent 1 to 2 years traveling across the country to the Cathedral, surviving on scraps and avoiding bandits.  During her travels to the Cathedral, she encountered the Knives of Artemis who tried to recruit her.  She turned them down and ran after seeing what kind of future she would have with them.  There is a 50% chance that she will not encounter them again.

At start of game, Gia is just arriving at the Cathedral.

Character Ons: energetic sex, rough sex, dirty talk, hair pulling, Big Strapons, being pinned, being stripped, light bondage, being shared

Backstory: Sergio always felt like he lead a charmed life, the technical younger of the twins, he was allowed more freedoms than his brother James. Throughout their youth he always had his brother watching out for him, always knew that if things got out of hand he had someone at his back. Son of known Mob boss he was always well aware of what loyalty meant, most importantly in a world where supers were starting to exist.

After the Eclipse: It was during the event of the Eclipse that both he and his brothers powers truly manifested, a fact that kept them both alive. During the Choas another family took the opportunity to wipe out the Durante mob...the Roman mob would have been successful had the Twins not gotten their power

Character Ons: Anal (both giving and receiving), Sharing (especially with his brother), Cuddling, Heavy kissing and heavy petting, exhibitionism and all manner of sex in general.

• Honest- Anvil is Honest to a fault, finding little use for lying when the truth is so much more effective. This can cut both ways as sometimes you really don't want to know what hes thinking.
• Contemplative- As the older of the twins, he was burdened with more responsibility, expected to take over as the head of the family one day. This lead to a careful practive of examining past choices and current ones.
• Connected - As a twin he is connected to his brother in a special way, they tend to operate on the same wavelength and work well with each other.
• Loyal - This is a trait that was ingrained into the boys from early on, Loyalty to ones own family and ones own friends is not something to be lightly trampled on.

Backstory: Being the eldest son(technically) of a Mob boss means your life is mostly already planned out for you. He was told from a young age that he would have to set an example, that he needed to know how the world worked, and how to make his way in it. As such he did not have as much freedom in his choices as his brother did, and his mistakes were not so easily forgiven. When the Roman mob attacked his father told him to take his brother and run, like a good son he listened and during the escape both he and Sergio found their abilities.

Backstory: Being the eldest son(technically) of a Mob boss means your life is mostly already planned out for you. He was told from a young age that he would have to set an example, that he needed to know how the world worked, and how to make his way in it. As such he did not have as much freedom in his choices as his brother did, and his mistakes were not so easily forgiven. When the Roman mob attacked his father told him to take his brother and run, like a good son he listened and during the escape both he and Sergio found their abilities.

Throughout their youth he always had his brother watching out for him, always knew that if things got out of hand he had someone at his back. Son of known Mob boss he was always well aware of what loyalty meant, most importantly in a world where supers were starting to exist.

• Strong Willed- As adaptable to change as his brother is, James finds it hard to admit when something different needs to be done, however this does lend well to him standing his ground.
• Honest- Anvil is Honest to a fault, finding little use for lying when the truth is so much more effective. This can cut both ways as sometimes you really don't want to know what hes thinking.
• Contemplative- As the older of the twins, he was burdened with more responsibility, expected to take over as the head of the family one day. This lead to a careful practive of examining past choices and current ones.
