• Empathy - Figures she’s just got a knack for reading people. If they find her unusually soothing, well, that’s just because she’s nicer than the average super.

Personality:

• Happy-Go-Lucky - Nothing gets Tori down. Not even the fucking apocalypse. Playful, sweet, and gentle, she’s the first to laugh and the last to get into a fight. She’ll adjust in a hurricane and then have the storm named after her. An eternal source of silver linings.
• Willful - Fact of the matter is, Tori spends an awful lot of time fighting Death. And, more importantly, she wins. Once she sets her mind to something, she’s got the work ethic and the resourcefulness to make that shit happen.
• Flirtatious - Tori is the most fun anyone can have with their clothes on (or off). Wouldn’t know commitment if it bit her on her perfect ass.
• Compassionate - Tori will never turn her back on people who need her. Even when she really probably should. For reasons of safety and sanity. Instead, Tori adopts strays. People, animals, particularly sad inanimate objects... Looking pathetic in her presence is a risk. If not immediately fended off, she will lavish the person with good Southern home cooking and warm hugs.
• Self-Righteous - Probably because of the one two combo of being a bleeding heart and stubborn enough to spite the devil, she’s sure she knows what’s best for everyone all the time and is very insistent about it.

Backstory: Only two things matter from Tori’s past, as she figures it.

One. She had three siblings, and they were all her responsibility, and she lost them during the chaos of the Eclipse. Cecile, the rebel and the superhero, her twin. Mati, the too clever middle child who never did his math homework. And Celestin, the alien blooded powerhouse of a baby brother who made stars appear in their living room.

Two. She came to the Cathedral just after she graduated from university. All shiny like a newly minted penny with her new diploma in nursing and her determination to find a place where she could use her powers. The Cathedral became the home she’d never been allowed. And eventually it was the only home that could take her back, after the Eclipse.

All the rest is just sob story. Tori’s moved on, and she doesn’t plan on excavating her past for anyone’s pleasure or pain. Not even if they buy her a drink.

Participant in the Eclipse: Yes
After the Eclipse: Most would say that Tori came back remarkably unchanged. Yes, she’s more easily startled and sometimes she seems to go somewhere else in her mind. But she’s entirely functional and seemingly unfazed by the end of life as she knew it. Even though she’s hiding a metric fuckton of trauma.

Character Ons: O&O Tori's big on safe sex, prefers no emotional stakes, and will fight for her right to forget the fuck ups of her life via orgasms. Mostly vanilla with her one night stands. Things might get a little more intense in a long term relationship.
Character Offs: O&O Of course there’s the usual. Tori won’t do anything illegal or particularly unsanitary. Other than that? She’ll try just about anything once on days ending in ‘y’.

Backstory:  Growing up the child of mostly absent parents, television and video games were her babysitters.  So she had an affinity for technology from an early age and would prefer video games to interacting with people.  As she got a bit older, she discovered the internet and quickly grew bored with just surfing the web and started learning the basics of hacking.  She learned quickly and enjoyed trying to crack various security systems, though she rarely did anything other than peek into something once she'd hacked it.  Amber discovered her powers when she was a teenager and she was messing around with a computer, adjusting some wiring and made contact with it.  In an instant, her mind started to follow the connections and she realized that she could manipulate the computer with her mind.  She started to explore and discovered that anything with a computer chip could be manipulated.  As she explored her powers, she spent less and less time with other people, and between that and her tendency towards somewhat malicious pranks, most people started to steer well clear of her and she found that she didn't mind that one bit.
