Welcome!      I've been having a bit of a craving for a roleplay like this for a while now, and finally decided I'd write it up and see who could be interested. The idea I have will be centered in an apartment complex that is rumored to be cursed, and thus has not had a whole lot of luck at renting out any of the apartments. Till one day, there is a little additional bonus added to the rental deal; each apartment comes with an complimentary human pet they can pick up once they have moved in and if your character hadn't already been sold at the cheap rent, as well as an already pre-furnished apartment, the free human surely has peeked your interest. The story will start just shortly after the furries have moved in and are about to go and pick up their complimentary human pet. - I'm looking for a minimum of 5 players before I commit to running this roleplay. - The characters will all be 18+, and I will be accepting both humans and furries and either roles can be any gender. Gay and bisexual characters are accepted too. - I am also looking for people who are active in the OOC, cause it's always fun to have silly ooc banter regarding characters and currently running interactions. As well, I have learned,      that if the ooc is active, people are less shy in voicing out either concerns, or ask for something they are wanting/craving to happen in the roleplay.       There will also be a complimentary puppy given to the first to express interest!       Which may or may not be taken away and passed around to the next person at any time

The World This roleplay will take place in a world that is very much like our own. Both technology and society have evolved in a way that is almost symmetrical to our own; with children and adults alike freely accessing the internet through their computers and android phones. Watching youtube, reading rubbish, and posting meaningless nonsense of their own up onto social media. Like us, most people work from Monday to Friday, and can be seen relaxing and/or going out with the family and friends over the weekend. Throw in a few natural disasters here and there, a political class that persists on squabbling endlessly amongst themselves, and a legion of elderly people complaining that their families don’t visit them enough, and you’d think the world was identical to our own... So what’s different about this world?.... Furries of course! In the world in which this roleplay takes place, human kind never rose to prominence. Easily overpowered and outsmarted by more brutish and cunning creatures. They’ve been extinct for so long that no one even remembers they existed. That however changed several years ago when a group of unconscious humans were found in the wild. Since then more and more humans have been found dazzled, confused, and disoriented in the most unexpected places. Unable to communicate with furry-kind, and being quite fragile and weak. Humans are fated to fall down one of two paths. They’re either captured and sold off to as exotic pets to anthro/furry owners. Or... they end up on the dinner plate of some carnivorous beast who’s taken a liking to the taste of human flesh.

Furry/Anthro Characters - Are the primary and native inhabitants of the world. - They live in modern houses, in modern cities, filled with modern technology. - They go to school/work, and have family/friends just as we do. - Furry/Anthro’s have a common language and can understand each other regardless of species. - Furry’s are unable to verbally communicate with humans as they don’t share a common language. - There might be some friction between certain species, but overall they get along cohesively. - Breeding across different furry species is frowned up, but possible and pretty common.

Human Characters - Human characters were born and raised in our (human) world. - Human characters awaken one day in the parallel furry world. - Humans weren’t known to exist until a few years ago. - All human characters will have been captured at some stage. - Human characters can communicate amongst themselves, but don’t speak any furry languages. - Human characters are either kept as pets, or slaughtered and served as food. - Human characters have no individual rights. Any protection/privileges come as an extension of their owners. - Human characters can not produce children with furry characters. - Human-Human breeding is obviously possible, but no offspring produced are old enough to be playable characters.

Leaning towards a male human at this point but depending on the cast I'd be open to an anthro as well or playing a female.

But considering the nature of the roleplay... I'll let you off on the condition that you keep that Pup-pee away from me.

I'm not completely decided on it yet, but I'm thinking of finally using my own furry character Rakiya.
So.... a Male Anthro (Lion)~
And I'd be fine with either a male or female human pet.

It's actually been an awfully long time since I've wanted to play a second character right from launch.... and I don't even know what the other characters look like yet....And I'm not just talking physical appearance... though a cute faceclaim or two never hurts either

But yeah, just for the record I'm happy to play a male furry or male human when the topic comes up. Whatever's needed more really.

How long should the human characters been in the world? Are they fresh off the parallel world teleport or however they got, been there long enough to be somewhat familiar with things, or long enough that they'e gotten used to it or are humans free to pick?

Regarding Humans and how long they have been in the world

I am wanting the humans to be relatively fresh to the world, so they"d be a few weeks old and mainly held in detention up till now. If people want to make it longer, I am open to allowing that under certain circumstances, but the chances of that so far are fairly slim. So if that is what someone is wanting to go for, it is possible to run things over with me through PM's when we get to the character sheets =)

But Avalon is also right, we have now reached the minimum players I asked for, so I will be bringing in a character sheet application template sometime later. But sort of a quick roundup of how things are looking so far.


Cake = Male furry, open to either gender human
Sara = Female human or furry
Avalon = Male human, open to belonging to either gender furry
LSW = Female human or furry
Leki = Male furry, open to either gender human
Drach = Female human or furry
Yugi = Female human wanting a female furry owner

I'm pretty sure MelodyCake would be fine with snakes and lizards... not so sure about mythical creatures like unicorns and dragons though.

I was actually wondering the same thing... and am pretty happy to see the decision MelodyCake's made. Personally I feel a human pet who's become accustomed to the world would be a bit of a downer, and circumvent a lot of the fun dynamics of the roleplay. I mean the language barrier alone could lead to a lot of cute/amusing situations.

Looking forward to seeing whatever image you dig up though, your boys are usually pretty cute :3
