TRUMP: I will let you know. But if I were them I would try. But the difference is I’m president; other people aren’t. And I know more about wedges than any human being that’s ever lived, but I’ll let you know.

Although this was just lobbed over the plate, Colbert hit it out of the park last night. In essence, he agreed with Donald Trump, and compared him to a wedge "in that he's the simplest of all tools."

And you know that after his medical evaluation is over today, when the report comes out, they will announce that everything is fine and Trump is in perfect health.   ::)

Well, it does help that this is only a physical exam, with no tests at all of cognitive abilities.   :P

Even absent the cognitive component, he's a 72-year-old man that eats a fast-food diet and doesn't exercise and boast about his lack of sleep.

I'm willing to bet that his medical exam will go like this:

It's pretty easy to see Trump acting like Mr. Burns and bragging about it on Twitter.

Oh, the results will be horrible regardless, I'm sure.  I'm just not sure if they'll be allowed to announce that he consists of at least 75% pure cholesterol.

(I leave theories as to the composition of the remaining 25% as an exercise for the reader.)

Whelp. they better investigate it.  If true, they better impeach him.

If Bill Clinton was impeached for lying about a blow job, and it's proven that Trump is lying about a full fledged affair and hush money, and they don't impeach him.....whoa buddy.

Personally speaking, I can't for the life of me understand who would want to have sex with Trump in the first place.  *full body shudder*

Two GOP senators are now stating they never heard 45 say anything derogatory about any countries at the already-infamous meeting on immigration.

I can't even.  Do they start to genuinely believe the lies and obfuscations, do they think it's the price they have to pay to keep the status quo and they just have to tolerate it, or do they somehow believe it's actually for the greater good?  Whatever the answer, I don't know how anyone can wrap their minds around it.  >.<

Considering Trump will visibly, viciously and vigorously stab anyone in the back that doesn't toe HIS line what else will they say? Sure they can take a stand for the truth and have the president then spend weeks attacking them for not going along, or they can lie and go along with him hoping to get something done.

Now I am not saying they did the right thing, they didn't. They need to stand up to him, but i can understand why honestly. No one wants to be the next bannon etc. The person that one moment was trumps friend the next stabbed so hard in the back a hobgoblin from warhammer would go "daumn that is a bit excessive isn't it?"

It seems Trump always saying something to the effect of "I know more about X, Y, or Z than anyone you've ever met!".

For once, I just want one of the reporters to come back and say "You know, a Jack of all trades is a master of none." and see what he says in response to that.

From my understanding between ADA and HIPPA, unless the President is somehow exempted, nothing in Trump's medical record can be released that he doesn't okay. So, if there is something, we probably won't hear it. That isn't to say that they would have to lie and say 'the most perfect big penised huge handed specimen ever, believe me, ever'.

Cause eating McDonald's in bed several times a week is the epitome of what a healthy person does.

I'm sure the guy from Super Size Me! would have quite an opinion on that.

Clinton wasn't just impeached for lying about a blow job, he was impeached for lying about it under oath, that is, perjury. Lying may be immoral or unethical, but it's not a "high crime or misdemeanor" in the legal sense. Not that impeachment is a legal process - it's a political process, regardless of how much it might look like a criminal proceeding on the surface.

Breaking news.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Trump cheated on Melania with porn star 'Stormy Daniels', and paid her a six-figure sum to keep it quiet, using attorney Michael Cohen as the bag boy for the cash.

afaik he hasn't lied under oath about it, which is what Clinton was tagged on. Beaten to the punch by Cassandra. xD But yeah, none of that is illegal.

Interesting post about the 25th Ammendment at the Balkinization blog, by Mark Graber.

While I doubt the 25th will ever be invoked during Trump's presidency, I generally agree that the best reason for removal would be Trump breaking his oath of office and/or violating the Take Care clause of the Constitution.  His physical or mental fitness aside, the man doesn't seem to care about the duties of his office.

Politics being what they are it will not happen, but in many ways it strikes me as the most important thing about the Trump presidency. Forget about Foreign or Domestic Emoluments, forget about physical or mental fitness for office. If the President treats his office as a joke he is not executing his constitutional duties. That, sure as heck, is grounds for removal, if Congress has the gutts for it.

Extremely embarrassing for him though, if it turns out that he was dating a porn star during the campaign and then denied it.

Only thing worse would have been if he'd been caught in bed with a Russian porn star.  :P

I’m pretty sure that the Steele Dossier says that he was.

Clinton was impeached for being a Democrat in office.
