afaik he hasn't lied under oath about it, which is what Clinton was tagged on. Beaten to the punch by Cassandra. xD But yeah, none of that is illegal.

Well....yeah, that's very true!  I was just trying to use a comparison, and did a bad job of it.

But in all seriousness, I honestly don't think Trump would be able to tell the truth under oath.....even if his life depended on it.  He lies so much, that I doubt he can even remember the lies he's told, and what they were about.  If he was put under oath, and told if a single solitary untruth came out of his mouth a sniper would take him out.....he probably still couldn't stop himself from lying.

Good grief.

There are a lot of 'good grief' moments in the Steele Dossier. You can download it from a lot of websites, or you could throw Bob Cesca a buck and download a version narrated by someone with a pretty sweet voice.

The day it came out, I actually read quite a bit of it.  But then I got to the point that I was so mad and frustrated (at the entire GOP) that I could feel my blood pressure going up.  I eventually thew up my hands and walked away before I threw something at my monitor.  *laugh*  I'm gonna have to go back and finish it at some point.

Thank you for the links!

I also highly recommend following Seth Abramson on Twitter if you haven't already. He covers the Russia investigation and Trump corruption pretty closely, and his Twitter threads are well worth the read.

Whoever comes after trump better work hard to make a good impression. Because if he does he might end up being the first American saint by comparison. X3

Yeah, I remember talking about those "rumours" (in the sense that the details haven't been confirmed) with Dasha; she felt it was a dreary picture too. Though when I heard about the golden shower thing, I read it as Trump doing it to one of the Russian escorts.

Not necessarily. Trump seems to be a big fan of avoiding the truth with the good old "can't remember that" line when he is under oath, but he seems to be a bit more able to acknowledge past untruths, at least in somewhat roundabout ways.

The Atlantic ran an article on some of Trump's previous depositions a few days ago: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2018/01/trump-is-going-to-be-deposed-but-not-that-way-louise-mensch/550073/

Dozens of doctors want Trump's mental health and faculties to be tested:

I support this one! :D

As my brother put it, "when you can say "I'm great friends with Kim Jong-Un", you belong to a really select club". ;D

(Yes, I know Trump didn't quite say that, but bear with me...) :)

Trump said 'probably', for a normal person to say that you would question his sanity, Trumps sanity and intelligence have never made it past getting an intelligent person to take the case for it seriously.

So Trump's physical and mental tests were released, and he's apparently doing well for a man his age, and his cognitive functions are normal, so no Alzheimer's.  How to explain his behavior, then?  He's simply an idiot.

The American Presidency has a history of concealing the chief executive's health problems. It's just that Trump's concealment is more obvious than most. I mean, he’s allegedly 6’3 (191.5 cm), 239 lbs (104 kg).

Let’s s look at other people that share those metrics:

Tebow, 6’2, 236:

Mike Trout, 6’2 235

Bo Scarborough 6’2 235

Muscle is more dense than fat. Therefore, two people could weigh the same amount and have very different body types because of their bulk being composed of either muscle or fat.

That being said, I believe they are lying about the official numbers, as it puts him one pound shy of being considered obese. And anyone could just look at 45 and know he's obese and not just overweight.

Even assuming that the numbers are real, I can look at Regina's examples and point out two things:  All three of the people she found are athletes.  These are people that are not only muscular (and therefore will look 'thinner', due to the density issue), but they keep that muscle by exercising rigorously.  They are also considerably younger than Trump.  Tebow is 30, and currently playing baseball for the Mets feeder team.  Mike Trout is 26, currently a DH for the Angels.  Bo Scarbrough is 21 and a running back for the Alabama Crimson Tide.  45 eschews exercise, and is 71.  This is an entirely different health profile.

While the site is billed as for women, there are some examples of people who are 6'3" on MyBodyGallery.com and that can also provide some perspective.

From FDR to JFK and onward, the President has no serious health issues. Or minor ones - I read the other day that docs were concerned with Obama's inability to quit smoking before taking or while in office. I didn't know Obama smoked - did you? (Rhetorical question.)

Me neither. Jackie Kennedy was a steady smoker through the 1960s, but she took care to keep it out of the public eye (in the movie about her last year, with Natalie Portman, the habit was prominent though).

Had a random thought tonight.

Anyone else find it weird that we had the whole "Thanks, Obama" thing, where people would jokingly (or seriously) attribute things to Obama, even if he logically and realistically had no influence or control over them?

Yet I don't see anyone on the internet (yet) who has decided to attribute, let's say...people eating Tide Pods to Trump.

Because stores are actually locking the things up now, it seems.

So I made this.

Yeah unfortunately there is no longer any excuse but one of the most  the simple reason he is a moron and is in charge of one of the most powerful militaries in the world.

Bear in mind that the 'cognitive test' given to 45 was in fact an extremely basic one, since anything more intensive would be designed to be administered by a psychiatrist, not an MD.  His 'perfect score' was on a test that requires such feats as immediately repeating a string of four numbers, telling time, identifying a drawing of a lion, and knowing what day it is.

Me, I’m proud to be a girther. That is, I don’t believe Donald Trumps weight has been honestly reported.

I'm a heighter too.

Fact: Trump's NY license lists him as 6'2" (the doctor claimed 6'3").

Fact: This is an image of him right next to President Obama (listed as 6'1" and not a pathological liar) with an enabling doctor.

Fact: People tend to shrink with age, and Trump now being 6'1" like the much younger Obama is not unreasonable.
Fact: The BMI is a terrible way to gauge obesity because it doesn't account for muscle tone (this does not apply to Trump obviously, but athletes), still it is what we know, so it's a ballpark.
Fact: 6'3" and 239 lbs. would very conveniently put him just below obese with a BMI of 29.9 (obese is about 241 lbs. for a man who is 6'3"). If he is actually 6'1" (much more realistic given the above), his BMI is 31.5, putting him about 11 lbs. north of obese. Now, it's entirely possible that both or true and Trump is about twenty pounds north of obese.

I'm half tempted to give that a try Ket!! Although I think to make it more believable, you'd have to find a way to get some sugar tucked away in a ball shape under those, like the ones that use both. But still, very hilarious and awesome idea :D
