Bio:

• Grew up wanting to see the world. Poverty is a bitch though and she's never travelled outside her home town of Broken Bow Oklahoma until recently. She drove to Chicago, pan handling and selling her belongings as she went.
• She married her high school sweetheart before graduation, and things between them didn't stay Honeymoon sweet for long. He turned to drug use and alcohol to cope with his failures over the years. Choosing to blame her for most his problems. Their "open" marriage as he called it, was mostly one sided and he broke every agreement they had in regards to the relationships.
• The day he hit her was the day she started to plan her escape. Slowly she started to pack her things, hiding them away in the spare tire well of her car. Never really thinking she'd be able to escape she managed to slip out one night after he'd drank himself into a stupor and fell down the back steps. Once she was sure he wasn't dead she left. Not knowing where she was heading. Anywhere he wasn't would be a god send.
• She only settled in Chicago a month or so ago. Deciding this would be far enough away for the time being. Her hope is to raise enough money to drive further east. Unsure if she's really safe from him.

Personality: Carmen tends to go with the flow of things but sometimes, that can lead her into trouble.  She can tend to be over-trusting of people (especially women) and if it spells trouble, it is hard for her to say no.  She is not really moody but deep childhood problems make her very wary of men.  She needs a little push to get out into the open and meet people as she can be seen as an introvert.  Sometimes, her head can be caught in a book or in the kitchen creating a new recipe.  She has a tendency to slip into her native Spanish language when she can't figure out the proper English word to use.  She also has a very noticeable European Spanish accent (almost like Sofia Vergara's accent).

Bio:
Born in Barcelona, Spain, Carmen's parents moved to Chicago when she was 10 years old.  With no knowledge of the English language when she arrived, she fell far behind in school as she was ridiculed and almost bullied.  At the time, Bullying was not one of the main crises in school so she was teased, hit and ridiculed constantly until she started to reach puberty.

It was when puberty hit that her curves and natural beauty started to take shape.  With those changes and will still limited knowledge of the English language, the bullying took a different turn.  This time, it was more sexually provoked as many boys tried to grope her and force them to kiss her.  She was not sure how to tell anyone about this as she kept all of the bullying inside of her.  She was an outsider during her school years so she had no real friends that could reach out to her.  Sure, there were a few people that she hanged around with but when she could not be able to keep a conversation with them, those people usually left her.

It was then that she was described as a "Library Girl".  With her head inside of books, she tried as best as she could to get into the stories that she could that were in her native language.  It was one of those books about cooking that inspired her to try out for a culinary academy.  With her late start, she did not graduate High School until she was 20.  With her first attempt at applying at the local culinary academy, she was disappointed to learn that no one in the academy spoke any Spanish.  Feeling dejected, she wandered the streets trying to find a job anywhere that would accept her.

After being homeless for about three months, she finally found a job at the local restaurant.  At least there, people spoke Spanish so she was able to fit right in as a waitress.  Her English is still improving but her dream is to open up a brand new restaurant in the city.  She knows that it will take time and a lot of saving money but once she has enough... Playa del Mar can soon become a reality.

Desired Plots: The first plot would be for someone to help Carmen open up a little more about herself.  She has some demons inside of her that she has wanting to get out for a very long time.  Another plot would be an interest in her from an unexpected person.  She has never been with a woman romantically or sexually before so she is wondering that maybe a woman can help her out in ways that are more gentle than the men she experienced with before?
