Maybe he was once a class 3, but maybe after his mind-wipe, he became a class 4.  ::nod nod::

When you get an opportunity, I'd like to briefly discuss their dark history.
Pop me a pm, let me know what ideas you might have! I'm pretty open and friendly, even if my characters aren't always the same. :P

Seduce my mind and my body will follow.

I uh, have never actually read any comic with Nocturne in it. That's uh, why she's reimagined. :)

I highly recommend Exiles volume 1 and 2. I ... think after that was when it started to decline, but it's been awhile. The 'nuff said issue was particularly memorable to me because ... well, I think it was the best issue of that no dialogue month thing, period.

No worries, though! She's adorable either way!
Now this is the Law of the Jungle-
as old and as true as the sky;
And the Wolf that shall keep it may  prosper,
but the Wolf that shall break it must die.

How do you mean? The numbers section of the creation post has details on this. Be certain to read the 'spirit of powers' thing in red.

If you're asking for "what fighting does Hulk have", the answer is "whatever the person playing hulk puts him at". The numbers are not meant to correlate to specific breakpoints of achievement.

I mean like, what's the difference between a class 5 v a class 4? Who would be that in say the current movies or comics?

If I'm reading it right: The 'tiers' of Marvel don't necessarily apply here, so your character can be a 9 or a 1, regardless of where they are in Canon.

Captain America in the comics would be a top tier Fighting ability guy in Canon (probably the max for his Class in this game). However that doesn't meant you need to put him there for this game.

But I think I see why some people might still have some confusion since you (Wispyr) do state that the intent of the power matters and we'll try to remain true to that vs the numbers on the sheet. So, for example, if I made Pyro... what's the difference between the fire he could create at Power 3 vs Power 6? It might not even matter much in this game, but I think that might be where the confusion arises.

For myself... I'm just spitballing mine and calling it good, figuring Wispyr will adjust it if it seems skewed :)

This is hard, if not impossible, to answer - because it is absolutely meant to not correlate to that at all. The entire purpose of this setting was so that people could play characters are whatever point they wanted. If Orange wanted to play a baby Magneto who was just discovering his powers (thus class 5 rookie), he could. Magneto doesn't need to be the experienced leader of the brotherhood powerhouse that he is. Different story, different timeline, different circumstances, etc.

Taking what Orange said (thank you, that's very well said!) with someone like Pyro... On the "outside" the difference between a power 3 vs power 6  is virtually nothing. On the "inside", behind the scenes, would be the strength of the attack. Who could absorb it? Who can deflect it with their own. If Iceman and Pyro have a showdown, who wins? Well that's a result determined by power (and other factors). It's also how I expect players to limit themselves and the use of their power. A character with a power 3 might only be able to use it semi-limitedly, or have awkward control of it - or however they want to play it. A character with a power 6 has more 'uses' than the other, more practice utilizing it effectively and efficiently.

Remember that class is meant as a very basic balancing scale - it should be assumed that any character of the a class has a 50/50 chance against another character of the same class, regardless of numbers. The numbers are purely a behind the scenes point of reference for me that allow me to make informed judgement calls and improve characters in a notable way.

There's a bit in there about "not over-thinking" the numbers, and I urge people to rely on that. More is better. This is not meant to be a detailed in depth system and analysis of power and if we try to apply that to it, it will fall apart quickly. The stats are used for me to make determinations behind the scenes, while maintaining the spirit of a power, without letting things get bat shit crazy like they do in the comics.

I posted this with my interest check, maybe it will help?

Fighting: 3 (2+1 for class 5)
Power: 1
Willpower: 3

If I understand correctly, If I dont put 1 in for power that will make me as weak as a average human? Since I placed her background as Marine/SWAT I would (in all common sense) need to put one point in power. I really want her to be able to fight off mind attacks due to her personality, hence the Willpower being so high. Shes very abrasive and isnt easily persuaded against her point. I placed 2 points in fighting which would explain her knowledge due to military and worldly experience and her class just adds a bonus to it which rounds out my character.

You did a great job detailing things out here except for this one little part. A character could absolutely have a power of 0. You'd still have your mutant gifts and be able to use them. 0 Just tells me that they aren't trained or developed at all, and are fairly weak. They don't size up well against other powers at all. Which is knowledge I'll use at various points of resolution during the game. It doesn't mean she'd be powerless.

It is located underground, in southern California - near the Riverside area to be very specific.
