Looks like Trump is already considering a 2024 presidential run.

He can consider it all he likes but I doubt he'll be able to afford it much less be a free man in 2024. I say that because he's in a massive amount of debt and he has been blowing money (granted it was donated to him) to try and do legal fees and recounts. FBI and CIA are chomping at the bit to get their investigation ongoing. The IRS want their taxes that he owes them due to the fact he's been skimping them bad on that. And he was impeached. So wouldn't all that prevent him from running again?

Deamonbane

I don't think Trump's grasp on reality is at it's most solid at this point. It could be that he knows all this and is just blustering to allow himself to keep raking in those donation dollars to pay some of the debts off, and it could be that he's completely lost it, and it's mostly the kids fighting to find some way out of jail and bankruptcy for the group.

The fact remains that there will be people out there that will support him anyways, thinking that all this is one big conspiracy by the big dark (whatever the monster of the week happens to be) and will accept no evidence otherwise.

This was why the set up the donations to the campaign and legal funds the way they did.  Any donation under $8,000 went directly to the campaign and into 45's pockets.  He needs to raise $400 million+ to pay off some massive loan debt.

Well hopefully he cannot get that much.

I expect that if he does siphon off funds to pay off personal debt then a lot of people will be coming after him with their lawyers.

Even if he somehow manages to run (I personally think he's a lot more likely to be pushing daisies 3 years down the line, but let's suspend disbelief for a moment), he'd likely be up against Harris, or even AOC. That would, at least, be supremely entertaining to watch.
To go in the dark with a light is to know the light.
To know the dark, go dark. Go without sight,
and find that the dark, too, blooms and sings,
and is traveled by dark feet and dark wings.

I think he’s using this to pay down his debts.  An increasingly depressed part of my imagination can see him starting a Trump ‘24 fund the 21st of January and spending every second to scoop every red penny out of his supporters for as long as he can.

Trump has already called this "fake news". I suspect the translation into English of that phrase when uttered by him is "the truth I can't handle".

Well, if the idiots are happy to give him their money I think we should let them. I don't there is a law against being a gullible twat.

There is already one big contributor suing the campaign to recoup his 2.5 million dollar donation because the legal eagles failed to turn the election back to Trump.

Also, 45's reality differs from real life.  He is basing his claims on the fact that when the polls closed the in-person vote showed him ahead.  Then the districts started counting the mail-in ballots.  They were not able to do that until the polls closed but he wanted the count to stop before then.

I know several states can’t actually start counting till the day OF the election. So I imagine, given the volume of votes, that if we’d done it his way he’d have ignored anything uncounted after midnight.

The big question is what will come of his interference in the postal system surely for the purpose voter suppression. I imagine his postmaster general is all but begging for a preemptive pardon

Apparently Florida began counting votes 22 days before Nov. 3rd. Why other states cannot introduce similar systems I don't know. One of the issues in this election that has clouded and confused things (and allowed more time for vexatious lawsuits) is the different days counting began and the different amount of time after Nov. 3rd that ballots were accepted. I hope these things are issues Biden's government take a look at. Making the election structure even more robust, transparent and homogenous can only be a good thing for the future. After the disrepute the Republicans have called the democratic process into over this election I think some remedial work is needed. Such can only benefit everyone.

That is literally exactly what he wanted.

Tough luck on that one Donny, the election process and what you want don't match. Life's a bitch.

Sidney Powell is a person without scruples, such a decent legal practitioner.

Hahaha.

I'm surprised the Trump team distanced themselves from her, they seem like a perfect match.

The distance from Sidney Powell is an illusion. This is how the administration works. Kellyanne Conway, Stephen Miller, Rudolph Giuliani, all were similarly relieved of their official duties but continued to perform the exact same function as agents of chaos. Jared Kushner, when he failed his security clearance, was handwaved through unofficially. When appointees whose conflicts of interest would never make it through congressional confirmation, they were given an acting head title on a temporary basis (which never expired).

This is how they operate for plausible deniability. Make no mistake, these rogue agents buzzing around the White House or rounding people up off the streets in Portland are 100% still on the Trump payroll.

Trump lawyer Lin Wood is now telling Georgia voters not to vote in a 'rigged election' or for the two Republicans running for Senate (who's names I've suddenly blanked on). Link goes to a tweet saying the same with a video of him doing so.

Quote"I just learned of absolute incontrovertible evidence of North Korean boats delivering ballots through a harbor in Maine, the state of Maine," Stone said. "If this checks out, if law enforcement looked into that and it turned out to be true, it would be proof of foreign involvement in the election."

That is Roger Stone. You know the guy Trump pardoned.

Saying North Korea sent ballots through a harbor in Maine.

Now, I am not saying it is impossible. But, why Maine? If you consider the Earth for a second. They either sailed the looong way around, or went down Cape Horn or through the Panama Canal. Now if I was smuggling something I wouldn't go through the busy canal.. so.. eh but what do I know.
