I've long suspected that slovinliness and slobbiness is part of the appeal. Gone are the days of Reagan glitz and glamor, much less Bush averageness. Trump in his ill-fitting suits bagging out over his fat body, his absurdly long ties, his weird posture due to the lifts in his shoes, are things his supporters actually respond to.
