The Commission on Presidential Debates said on Wednesday that it would make changes to the format of this year’s remaining match-ups in the wake of Tuesday night’s melee in Cleveland, where frequent interruptions from President Trump led to a chaotic and often incoherent event, though it did not elaborate on what those changes would entail.

“Last night’s debate made clear that additional structure should be added to the format of the remaining debates to ensure a more orderly discussion of the issues,” the commission, a bipartisan nonprofit that has organized the debates since 1987, said in a statement. “The C.P.D. will be carefully considering the changes that it will adopt and will announce those measures shortly.”

Members of the commission praised Tuesday’s moderator, Chris Wallace of Fox News, “for the professionalism and skill” he brought to the occasion. The commission said it “intends to ensure that additional tools to maintain order are in place for the remaining debates.”

Although the commission did not go into detail about the changes it was considering, there were widespread calls on Wednesday for moderators to be granted the power to cut off a candidate’s microphone.

I didn't watch the debate, nor have I seen any video of it. I just don't want to, I'd find it cringingly embarrassing and it would just make me angry. From what I've heard it was like two kids shouting in a playground. Just really sad that men descend to this while trying to encourage a nation of 330,000 people to vote them their leader.

The only good part was when Biden told Trump that if they were going to talk about families - after Trump attacked Biden's sons - they could spend hours on his.  Biden then turned to the camera, pointed both index fingers at the nation and said this wasn't about his family or Trump's but about the families of all Americans and what we need from a president.

That gave me shivers.  Trump just gave me a headache and an upset stomach.

I am outraged at his "stand back and stand by" to the Proud Boys.  Why wasn't that shit called out -right then-?  Telling a street gang to stand back and stand by is him giving orders to a violent gang.  That makes him a terrorist.  Why is this not being addressed?!

On news, they say Mr Biden calls Mr Trump “Putin’s puppy”, in debate. News people here say, not puppy, but piglet.

It doesn’t matter, for us, who wins. Both keep making sanctons, that only hurt people, not government. US also does nothing, for fighting between Armenia, and Azerbaijan. We more wonder, when US starts the new civil war.  The country goes crazy, it’s very scarey, and wierd. Many here think Trump stays as leader, no matter what electon results say.

So far Trump has told the Proud Boys to stand down but his backing off isn't working because they listened when he told them to stand by and quit listening in case he took it back, which he did.  But he also said he doesn't know who the Proud Boys are and someone should explain it to him.  (Idiot!)

It's clear that Trump had no tactic other than to try and bully Biden into stuttering. I used to stutter myself as I grew up speaking two languages and mixed them up a lot as I was growing up. I remember being bullied in the exact same way and I felt my anxiety spike while watching the debate.

Thankfully, Biden was not pushed and in fact pushed back, and Trump had no plan B.

He's growing even more shouty and racist, clearly he has chosen that as his supposed path to a re-election. I saw live video from a rally in Duluth last night and he was amping up the rethoric even more about the "China virus", on Ilhan Omar ("OOU-MAAAR! She's called OOW-MAAAAR!! Where did OOOW-MAAR come from? You know she's a crook!"), on Biden and Sanders supposedly wanting to flood the US with ten times more immigrants, criminals, Mexicans and terrorists, on the need for a Wall, etc.   

It's as logical, given his track record, as it is sickening.

And what's more, towards the end of his rally in Duluth he had the gall to rehash his joke from Iowa, on the eve of the first 2016 primaries: "You'll be telling me, "Please, please, Mr President, NO MORE! We're winning TOO MUCH!!"". This time around, it was the Republican senator they were gonna elect that they would be asking to tell him this, when their man is travelling to Washington to meet the great King Donald.

I mean, what the feck??! This is not just ridiculous and horribly bad taste at the worst moment of national crisis and breakdown since the 1960s, it also shows a completely medieval idea of the King and his obedient subject people singing his praise.

Every year, our neighborhood church comes by and hands out 'gift bags' to the whole block.  Some food, a religious-themed movie, a fresh copy of the KJV, and usually a pamphlet.  I'd lay odds that anything 'non-food' in Trump's boxes gets maybe half a glance before going out in the trash or otherwise ignored.
