Q: What was your character's life like prior to aligning with the Academy? How did they terrorise/infuriate mankind?  What kind of reputation did they have among their own kind?
Even though she looks to be barely a fraction of her actual age - a compliment that makes her preen happily - Aello bears both the name and some resemblance to one of the harpies of myth, although she's made little in the way of detailed claims to her past. According to her, however, she was 'the swift silver claw of the gods, finding men with evil in their hearts and tearing those hearts from their chests' along with her (now absent) sisters.
In more recent times, a long string of mostly male bodies have been tied to her, the victims seemingly random although she insists that they were evil, and whose bodies showed signs that their deaths had been very slow and drawn out.

Q: Explain why your character decided to align themselves with the Academy.
While she would normally just have escaped into the air at high speed, Aello's weakness to compliments and playing to her vanity kept her in place long enough to be given the pitch by the Academy's agents. While she is far too confident in herself to believe their claims that they would destroy her if she continued killing, the offer of a chance to use their resources to combat evil - even if not the evil of man - as well as a human servant swayed her.
No such servant was actually offered, but attempts to convey how the human was meant to be her partner seem to have bounced entirely off of her ego.

That chart does look good though the only problrm is that Haru is Elianore. Since we have two other other Elianore now though he could work as Nayuva as well. Hmm...

With Aello's addition, we're now officially on 11 participants, though another face or two to reach the magic number 13 to prepare for potential dropouts wouldn't be a bad thing.

10 Shiki <6M|4F> (Though characters like Iridel and Haru make it a bit hard to discern gender balance xD)

I've placed a roof on the max number of player-characters allowed in the RP; and that'll be 20 (8 Humans, 12 Shiki) - This number is excluding any characters I may have.
Krypta and Elianore are now officially booked out, meaning that any future characters will have to come from the other elements (unless someone withdraws a character).

     Heartless and detached from humanity, Anael used his powers as his creator's demanded. Never once questioning his actions, and immensely loyal, the winged creature caused more death and destruction then he could ever even try to count for in his life time. And as warped as that perhaps would appear to some, that was the life Anael was made for and content with.

     As quickly as his own existence had came to be, his master's commands one day became quiet. As if his creator had just up and vanished without a trace. Despite the years of wait that followed, Anael remained loyal, despite the eerie silence; despite the fact that him, and the others had been left behind without as much given a reason as to why. But of course, not everyone can stay loyal to someone that seemingly isn't there anymore, and after a few years, his peers slowly began parting ways from one another. Some vanished, whilst others just up and left, but eventually the winged creature became alone.

     It was years later that Anael heard the whispers of God being spoken from human lips, and he could not help but to find himself intrigued for what the humans had to say, opting to stay a bit closer to the human habitats. Eventually, his presence found it's way to become known, as the blond being continued to scorch those that belittled his maker, and anyone that had unfortunately run out of luck. But of course, the presence that had come to know of him, was not the one Anael had hoped for.

      Approached one evening by a group of people, he was given an offer he violently resisted with force reluctantly agreed to their proposal, he was taken in by the people of the academy. With the promise to be reunited with his creator, Anael agreed to have his powers restricted with the bloom collar.  Willing to risk it all, just to be able to rejoin his maker once more.

Another question Leki, how does the magic work? I understand how the elemental affiliations, bonding, and the bloom work but what about the spirits using magic? Is it all force of will and projection of the element from the user? Using fervus for example they can breathe fire and throw fireballs, raise the temperature, etc. but it all has to use the person casting magic as the origin point. Or can more subtle things be done with it as well? I was thinking of having Haru use a bunch of one off magic items, talismans,enchanted jewels, anything he can really store magic into that's portable to help supplement his magic and get a bit more creative with jewels that release blinding flashes of light, or talismans that can be used to create an independent decoy in a seperate location.

I figure since spirits of other elements can't keep with Fervus in the raw power department they've come up with other ways to use their magic to compensate for that. Maybe its a technique they picked up when Tamamo came to Earth if a reason for it is needed. Or is all of that more of a human caster thing?

I tried, so hard to watch Naruto, and I just couldn't do it xD And the fanbase made it even worse for me SAO, Bleach, One Piece and Naruto sort of fall under the same category for me xD

I didn't watch it, I read it. I didn't even know about the fanbase till I was going to cons, and by then I had my own idea of it - and had been in several good rps online.

Yes in a way. but its all things he has made himself or stored his magic into. Meaning he won't be able to use any magic outside of the restrictions of however many petals he has at the moment. They're more like one off bursts of magic that he's channeling his magic into that he has prepared beforehand so he can use them in different ways rather than just throwing them out from himself. Like using them to activate a barrier of his power level remotely to trap somebody as another example.

If you want to see a good virtual reality game anime, then I recommend .HACK
The fanbase of SAO is what makes it bad xD No idea how many times I get told "Well, SAO is the first of it's kind, and no one has ever done a virtual game roleplay" among other things.

Obviously I'm not in charge, but Leki previously shot down someone's idea to have a shiki that would do the fighting for the user (like a Stand from JoJo). So I assume Haru doing any magic casting of his own, let alone with additional items, would be off limits since it's supposed to be the human drawing power from the shiki to take advantage of their power.

Honestly I never understood the assertion that a fan base can ruin a show for you. I mean you do know that you can watch/read the show without ever interacting with the fanbase at all right? That's a completely optional part of the experience. Like I genuinely don't even know what the Naruto fan base is like, because I read it by myself and only talk about it with my friends who also happen to read it. That's one of those things that can only ruin something for you as much as you allow it too, and personally judging something based on the people who like it and not the work's actual quality is kinda...well not "shallow" per say but, something along those lines.

Really? That's not what I got from the description of how Humans and Shiki work.  What I got was that the pair form a bond with the caster who thanks to the connection gets an ability. At the same time the shiki is collared to suppress their power but as more petals are unlocked they get more access to their old power and are actually a little bit stronger thanks to the bond by the time all the petals are released. Maybe I read things wrong then.

The fanbase of Naruto can be pretty thick and hostile if you don't like the show, but Naruto, the show itself ruined it for me, and therefor I don't watch it. I tried to watch it, numerous times, but the over all theme of things does not appeal to me. But I can understand what you mean, but it's also unfair to say that no one is biased to their opinions when it comes to what they like and dislike, when they are trying to get others to watch/read it as well.

I myself I am 33 year old and my favorite animated show as kid was TMNT (my mom still remembers the opening OST of the show instantly thanks she heard it a lot when I was kid ). I got into anime and such later years (first ones being Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust movie and Ninja Scroll series from local video renting stores).
