I can't decide whose Cosplay I like most. Jessica Nigri's Savage Lands, or Danielle Beaulieu's "Classic."

That's normally how I make my characters, but I find it often leads to me playing the same half dozen type of characters, so every now and then I want to switch it up and try something different.

Ahh, okay Ace... well I guess I'll just wait for an updated list and if I could some additional guidance on how much license I can take on putting parents together or other crazy character origins :p I believe alternate universe/timelines, clones, and other odd explanations are pretty standard comic book fare, right? :p

I mean, the Exiles are basically custom built for alternate universe/timelines, since that's what they've been since its inception – a bunch of heroes drawn from AUs.

So, even if a parent is taken, if you decide there's a parent you'd really like to take on that's already taken, the Exiles is probably the place for you! I'd still check with the players of any shared parentage as a courtesy, though.

For instance, LiC's X-men character has Kitty Pryde as her mom, and the Venom symbiote of Sinsverse has been bonded to the Unity Squad's Spider-man for years, but because he signed up for the Exiles, Tanner can still play Agent Venom, son of Flash and Kitty Pryde.

That said, if anyone has any interest in other Parker spiderlings, drop me a line! There may be some kinks to iron out, but if we're honest, Peter was a huge manslut and he didn't even know he fathered a kid with Black Cat...

Honestly I didn't have anything specific in mind, just kind of spitballing at this stage. Looking at the available roles I'd say... either the X:Men's Sneak, or well, most of the Exile's roles except for Leader or Tactician.

I didn't know that at the time because nobody told me ( ), but I rewrote the end of his backstory yesterday to fit that mold, yes. xD

But anyway, Exiles don't have to be from alternate universes. It opens the possibility up, though, provided it's ok with LiC

Would an AU child of Raven and Beastboy be acceptable as an idea for my character (would be an Exile obv.)? Haven't developed that idea any more but their main power I was thinking would be a combination of BB's shapeshifting, and Raven shadow soul self thingy.

Are Beast, Storm, and/or Darkstar currently claimed as parents?

Are there any guidance or limitations as to how my character's parentage is explained, or is there somewhere I can get a better idea of the continuity of the Sinsverse?

An AU kiddo would be okay, but I'd do it as a secondary idea? For as many as concepts as we have, there are still like... A crap ton of parentages that haven't been used.

And, honestly, as far as the how/why, I just want to read it and it makes sense.

As far as continuity, the running joke is that there isn't one. If you have specific canon-event-related questions, my inbox has been a whipping boy for this game for almost two years now. :]

Heh, no specific questions really... as I said upthread my knowledge of comicbook continuity is fairly limited, so happy to leave it kind of up in the air, and just make stuff up :p

As to my character I'll probably start working on a BeastxStorm idea then with the backup of AU RavenXBB

1) Is the Codename "The Punisher" taken?

2) Is it ok to say in my backstory that the Sinsverse "Punisher" has retired? Because in the current universe, using the codename "Venom" would attract too much attention from - I dunno - the Spiderman who has the Venom Symbiote currently...so Marcus would choose a different codename. If Frank Castle is retired or dead and nobody has claimed his "Alias," Marcus would choose that codename as one to go by.
Is that ok, or are there any clashes with existing characters?

Largely left up to the person creating the character. Some are dead, some are retired, some are MIA, some are active in their roles yet, and some are off in the cosmos getting up to all kinds of insane shenanigans (or, Deadpool is, and Rogue is cleaning up the messes he causes on what should be a vacation ).
