This doesn't have to end in a fight, Buck.
It always ends in a fight.
You pulled me from the river. Why?
I don't know.

Vergil's Faceclaim Archive; For All Your Character Model Seeking Needs!

Men in general judge more by the sense of sight than by that of touch, because everyone can see but few can test by feeling. Everyone sees what you seem to be, few know what you really are; and those few do not dare take a stand against the general opinion. Therefore it is unnecessary to have all the qualities I have enumerated, but it is very necessary to appear to have them. And I shall dare to say this also, that to have them and always observe them is injurious, and that to appear to have them is useful; to appear merciful, faithful, humane, religious, upright, and be so, but with a mind so framed that should you require not to be so, you may be able and know how to change to the opposite.

Vergil! What are you doing here! :p

Anywho, say I were interested in getting in on these shenanigans, how much comic knowledge is required would you say? I was involved in a somewhat similar idea (offspring of canon marvel characters) once before, and diving down the rabbit whole for that was rather scary :p Comicbook continuity is craaazy.
If I haven't posted in a day or two check here, maybe harrass me a bit if there isn't a post :p

Haha, well hello there, Peanuts! :P

As I understand it, a passing knowledge of roughly who the characters are helps, but since this is a new game with OC's - who are children of DC or Marvel characters - you don't necessarily have to have encyclopedic knowledge. :D

May I suggest applying for The Exiles, though? I wanna get in quickly ;) :P :P :P

lol :p most of my familiarity with comic book characters comes from movies and TV shows, but I have seen a fair amount of both.

Exiles huh? reality hopping doods, hmm.

Well, as I understand it (again, not even in the game yet, so I might be wrong), the Sinsverse has its own lore, so as long as you're passingly familiar with who people are and have the ability to google, you should be fine so long as you read the official RP Lore (being an Alt!U) :P

And yhup! Seemed like the best fit for my Venom.

What kind of character are you considering? :D

Not sure, a lot of the characters I like are already taken... to be parents I mean. So yeah, just trying to think of a cool concept to fit first of all :p

Lol, fair enough. Are you thinking mutant, tech-based, magic? I mean, it's the Marvel and DC Universe crossed over, so anything is really fair game, right? :P I mean, which characters do you like that haven't been taken? :P

You can always ask if they'd not mind having more people in the same family.  :D  My gal, Jessica M'orzz-Reyes, (M'gann M'orzz and Robbie Reyes), could use a sister or three for example.  Just throwing that out there for ya Peanuts.  :D

Either way, good luck to you!

IMPORTANT UPDATE as of October 6th 2016 in A/A page

Peanuts

X-Men Evolutions is still one of my favourite animated comic book series... thinking a kid of Beast's maybe?

@OtherVergil: Hmm, Young Justice is another favourite, hehe, M'Gann was pretty cute in that. Now who is Robbie Reyes... Oh, I really need to catch up on Agents of Shield at some point. Ghost Rider huh? Cool

Heh, it's cool, and yeah Robbie (the new Ghost Rider in Agents of SHIELD), was amazingly done throughout the entire season he premiered in.  Chances are he'll be back later, but his exit was pretty awesome as well lol.  But yes, if you just ask the other players, chances are most would be willing to allow you to use their parentage to help make your character(s) a reality.  Otherwise though feel free to go your own way as the OTHER Vergil suggested.  ;D:P  Jokes aside, good luck Peanuts and looking forward to seeing what ya got.  :D

Vergil Tanner

Hey, Peanuts is in my game, which makes YOU the "Other Vergil" to him. ;)

Looking at the Claimed Parentage, I don't believe Beast has been taken yet! You'd have to double check with LoC, but going off of the information provided, that seems to be the case. But who would be the mother? Presumably somebody who likes hairy men, of course, but who were you thinking? Go on, who's your "Fantasy Non Canon Ship" for Beast? :p

Err, I don't actually know, I've just always liked Beast, lol :p Within the X-Men characters uhh... Beast x Mystique maybe? I'm trying to search up a partner that would be interesting and make some sense.

For the record the characters I was interested in that are taken were Raven (had the biggest crush on her ever since I saw the teen titans animated series, and a big fan of BeastboyxRaven), this may be turning into just a list of my teen cartoon crushes but loved Kitty and Rogue in X:Men: Evolutions (rogue isn't taken... hmmm), also really dug Nightcrawler's portrayal in the same series, and I wasn't exactly thinking of Kara/Supergirl, but she's cool too (another television series I need to catch up on at some point, behind on most of the live action comic book stuff.)

LOL. Beast and Mystique would be amusing, if nothing else xD You'd need to work out how they got together, but I can see it :P

In any event, working out what concept you want to do will help with the parentage. Do you want to play a Magical character? Then one of the parents should probably be a Sorcerer of some kind. :P But once you have the concept, build up from there! Beast / Mystique is a fun idea, though, so I'm gonna have fun picturing that :P

Ace Flyer

Life in Color hasn't updated the parentage list with the most recent updates, but Mystique, Rogue, and Supergirl are all claimed as parents already.

Peanuts

That's normally how I make my characters, but I find it often leads to me playing the same half dozen type of characters, so every now and then I want to switch it up and try something different.

Ahh, okay Ace... well I guess I'll just wait for an updated list and if I could some additional guidance on how much license I can take on putting parents together or other crazy character origins :p I believe alternate universe/timelines, clones, and other odd explanations are pretty standard comic book fare, right? :p

I thought I heard mention of Rogue being taken, but I wasn't sure >.>

In any case, I have a fairly wide knowledge of the characters of the DC and Marvel Universe, so if you want ideas for Pairings for Beast, be my guest to pick my brain :P I need to do something while I await my Sentence :P

Hmm...You might have to ask Life, but I don't think she wants too many alt-verse people running around. That said, depending on what you want to do with beast, there are still a lot of free options. Just hard to say without knowing what you might like.
