Just a note on this one, as someone working for a bookstore chain: His advance ($250,000) seems like a lot, but as celebrity book advances go, it's not much at all.  Amy Schumer got at least $7 million for her latest, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo.  Based on the print run for Dangerous (a title I'm guessing Milo picked himself, since he looks more queasy than anything on the cover), they don't expect this to be that big of a seller.  And unusually, it's being rushed into print for no real reason, except maybe that once a book is already in process, it's harder to cancel it, not to mention very costly to cancel.

Simon & Schuster doesn't care now about his views, but that may change.  Critics are refusing to review any Simon & Schuster publications for this calendar year, and I'm talking big critics like the Chicago Book Review.  At this point they're in trouble no matter what they do -- dropping it now will aggravate the alt-right and set them into a frenzy, whereas sticking with it is risking all sorts of boycotts.  And some of their established authors are extremely unhappy.  Over 150 of their children's authors and illustrators have signed a letter urging S&S to reconsider the deal.

If you know anyone who has Alzheimer's or dementia and is having trouble maintaining a connection to reality, imagine them with access to guns.  I own guns and support Second Amendment rights but I also think we need laws that will keep guns out of the hands of people who are a danger to us.
