When you say vampyres can only breed with other vampyres, do you mean in terms of how humans conceive and give birth?

Also how does siring work in this universe? I'm assuming vampyres look down upon that as well as its meddling with mortals?

Purebloods= Born Vampyres 
Sired= Bitten and blood transfused.

Pureblood vampyres do look down upon it as they have their own prejudices or paranoia about it. Alot of the lore is pulled from the movie Blade where there are vampyres that are born and then there are some that are bitten.

Bitten vampyres can also become a liability if not brought into the fold of a clan because that would be analagous to giving a kid a loaded weapon. In this story Vampyres need to operate like a secret society while Hemophages can blend in more.

I've got an idea similar to one I used in the past. I hope you'll like it when I'm done. And using that backdrop, his role will be similar to a Littlefinger or Margaery Tyrell. Someone who lets the people who want to control things fight it out while he's in the background, solidifying his own power base.  Maybe a little bit of Bran because he can be a total dick and doesn't care who he hurts to get what he wants or needs done. (Hodor anyone?)

History:
Jia was born into the Less clan, as pure as a pureblood could be and with a bloodline that spanned centuries. While the clan raised her as the baby of the family, she always wished she had a closer bond to her mother and father; Jia was desperate to please them, though she never seemed to receive their praise or negativity. Even to this day, Jia tends to want to impress or shock those around her; any attention is good attention in her eyes.

Despite this, in her youth she was mostly a sweet girl, who was happy to do whatever to help out her siblings and clan, and who went above and beyond to please. She developed a close relationship with one of her elder brothers [TBD], but this relationship went a little downhill when Jia made a mistake that would cost her everything.

Jia meddled with human affairs.

She began meeting an Italian man in his late 20s named Luca Nicolosi, who eventually she fell completely head over heels for. She, of course, hid this from anyone in her clan, for fear of being ostracized or for something happening to her lover. Of course, the relationship was destined for failure and it didn't last long before the two love birds were found out.

This is when things spiralled for Jia, turning her from a sweet girl into a sadistic monster. The man she'd fallen in love with ghosted her, leaving her a note only stating how disgusted he was with her, how he never wanted anything but a bit of fun and that she was completely unlovable. Jia was devastated and eventually her grief turned to rage, in which her uncontrollable behaviours of sadism, bratty-ness and self-indulgence bubbled to the surface. Jia swore off all humans then and there, unable to process what had happened to her in any way other than hatred and violence.

Little did Jia know that Luca had not abandoned her, and that he did indeed love her as she had loved him. His disappearance was conceived and executed by the very people she called family...And if she were to find out...who knows what could happen?

The World at War
During World War I and II, while Japan was engulfed in militaristic expansion, Tatsuya remained in the underbelly of society, untouched by nationalistic fervor. The Yakuza operated in the shadows, ensuring their own survival and profit amidst the chaos. Unlike many of his peers who were conscripted or recruited into military intelligence, Tatsuya’s connections and value to the syndicate kept him far from the front lines. He was more useful maintaining control over Japan’s criminal enterprises than dying to foreigners.

However, the post-war years were different. With Japan’s surrender in 1945, American occupation forces cracked down on the Yakuza, and vampire society found itself at odds with the shifting power dynamics. Many purebloods who had relied on traditional secrecy found themselves vulnerable in the face of modern surveillance and foreign influence. Tatsuya, recognizing that Japan was no longer the safest place for a being like him, made the calculated decision to leave.

From the Rising Sun to the Neon Jungle
By the 1950s, Tatsuya had made his way to America, drawn by whispers of a powerful vampire clan ruling the criminal empire of Las Vegas. The Less Clan, known in certain circles for its control over the city’s underworld, was a perfect fit for someone of his skillset. Unlike the chaotic and impulsive nature of many American vampires, the Less Clan operated with what Tatsuya believed was precision, vision, and ironclad order.

Tatsuya quickly proved his worth. His years in the Yakuza had honed him into an enforcer and assassin of unmatched efficiency, and his ability to navigate both vampire and human criminal enterprises made him an invaluable asset. His unwavering discipline, meticulous execution of orders, and merciless handling of both traitors and money soon earned him the moniker “Ruthless.”

But among some peers, he carries other titles; be they out of respect or fear.

“The Ghost of Kyoto” – A reminder of his past life and the silent deaths he once delivered.
“The Deathless Executioner” – A nod to his pureblood heritage and his unshakable presence in the criminal underworld.
“The Oni of Vegas” – A name whispered among humans who have no idea how close to the truth they are.

Present Day
Now, Tatsuya is one of the Less Clan’s most feared enforcers, overseeing the clan's financial operations and the removal of any humanoid-shaped obstacles. He is a traditionalist in an ever-changing world, an old-school warrior navigating a new-age battlefield of neon lights.

While he has long abandoned Japan, he has never forsaken its ways.

Tatsuya is not just a killer. He is an institution, an era that refuses to die.
