Devon is a man with a plan and a mean left hook, as well as a baseball bat when required. Loyal to his family above all else, he will steal, lie, cheat, or manipulate anyone required to accomplish whatever he has been asked to do. There are no half measures. He does not accept them from others, nor will he allow them from himself.

Assets:

• A series of pawnshops under the umbrella of "Just Blaze, Inc."
• Four laundromats- all card-operated, no coins needed
• A house located near the outskirts of Vegas proper, for when he can not make it to the Compound
• Various weapons, both legal and illegal
• Random vehicles (they are not important outside of their usefulness)

Occupation:  A well-known entrepreneur who donates to charities for inner city youths, almost religiously. As far as the public knows, he grew his businesses organically by doing bodyguard work until five years ago.

History: The firstborn son of Mother and Father Bound, Devon developed into a cunning young man who used his charm and good looks to get into (and out of) trouble. Academically bright but temperamental, "Blaise" did not complete any formal education after graduating from high school. Instead, he used his imposing stature to settle disputes, scope out likely businesses for shakedowns, and help to grow the businesses no one talked about.

He was the one who helped implement various street fighting rings, developed a stake in illegal street racing, and found Della when the young woman was reeling from the loss of her only parental figure. Because he was a face some of the more established denizens knew well, Devon chose to hire on with an elite bodyguard outfit, turning that into a lucrative sideline that allowed him to make inroads with the wealthy.

Everything he learned and saw was reported back to the family, with both his mother and father deciding which contracts he should take and which ones he could turn down without fear of reprisal. This gave him a surprising amount of leeway and allowed him to open his first laundromat at the age of only 24. Since then, his various businesses have been used to legitimize rather dirty money and allow him to keep an eye on the lower denizens of Vegas as well as the idiots who gamble their lives away at the tables in various casinos.

Still, he is happiest when breaking heads.

Extra: He has an 18-year-old daughter he's never met, though he does provide support to her mother and is responsible for half her tuition at the University of Maryland. She has never shown any hunger for blood and is (as far as can be determined) wholly human. Her name is Delilah Blaze..

Devon is also uncommonly strong, even for a hemphage. Not as quick on his feet as either Donovan or Della, his punching and swinging power more than makes up for that lack of speed. He has yet to meet a phage who bests him in strength alone--though he is sure a vamp would, eventually.
