Della is not a fun woman.  She's not flirtatious, given to flights of fancy, or eager to make anyone's acquaintance. Instead, she can come across as humble, reticent, or withdrawn, all of which are wrong. The fact is, if you are not a part of her extended family or a boxer she can train to take a title then she doesn't have any use for you. Due to this severely myopic view of the world and her place in it,  Della has lots of allies but very few friends. She does not care.

Assets:

• Desire- a heavily modified Harley Nightster 975
• her Glock G-22's. lovingly named Drive and Demand
• An apartment building that houses her two-bedroom apartment as well as five others.
• Her bank accounts leave a LITTLE to be desired, however, her home safe does not.
• Three cell phones one for family, one for business, one for personal use.

Occupation: Former Women's Welterweight Boxing Champion. Now she runs a small, well-respected boxing gym. (She also has connections for steroids, cocaine, and heroin as well as a small cadre of street kids that trade for information)

History: "No one ever tells you about the sacrifices you make when you decide to give everything to win. No one warns you that falling from greatness always happens after your biggest success. No one is there to help you after the fall except family. When the family is all that is left? You do anything for THEM."

There was ALWAYS something different about Della.

From a young age, as the only child of a woman who never quite looked her in the eye, the girl spent her time in some kind of physical activity, useful when trying to calm the screaming voices that something was WRONG with her. By age sixteen? Her birth mother was dead, lost to the ravages of drugs and time, and Della was alone--a hot-headed young woman with NOTHING but anger hidden behind her doe eyes.

In this time of transition, she was found and pressed onto a new path, one that suited her drive and passion. The family unit she became a part of sought to help her redefine herself and gave her the tools to succeed. Her chosen medium--boxing. She won, repeatedly, her strength and stamina only growing as she aged and took the gold medal during the Olympic Women's boxing games in the welterweight division. Della used that to springboard into a professional career, at only 22 years of age.

However, due to a death in the ring, one caused by her at just 25 years old, Della fell from grace- a champion stripped of her title and tumbling, brutally, into the pits of despair. Alcohol became her crutch, her way forward. Friends fell away as she self-destructed, shaking their heads and leaving her behind. It was boxing and being Bound that saved her.

The past four years have been spent establishing herself- both as a trainer and as eyes and ears for the Bound.  Humans KNOW and respect her, gym bunnies with a need for a little boost know that she can provide it. Slowly, she's built a small, thriving business based on supply and demand - all while, apparently, keeping her nose clean and becoming an institution in the Boxing world. She isn't the face of the Clan, but she does her part, and between her runners and the fighters that grace her gym? There is not much that passes her by.

Extra: Della was NOT conceived in the LV. Her father was of a different 'phage bloodline and was killed for his lack of discretion.  Della's mom went on the run with her when she was no more than a babe, in the hopes of avoiding the same fate. It wasn't until the young woman met the Bound at age 16 that she learned about who and what she is.

Additionally--Della's hunger for destruction and blood manifests itself as a separate VOICE--she calls it the Other.

Origins: The Birth of a Dynasty (1905 - 1915)
Donald Less was born into power, but not privilege. His parents, Father Less and Mother Less, were the first of their bloodline to step foot onto the sun-scorched land that would become Las Vegas. Merchants from Eastern Asia, they acquired 110 acres of barren desert at auction, bringing nothing but their wits, a dream of empire, and a name that would one day shake the underworld.

• Father Less was a ruthless businessman, believing that power was earned, not inherited. He was the architect of the Less family's rule, striking the first deals that planted the seeds of their empire.
• Mother Less, however, was something far darker—a woman whispered to have roots in old bloodlines, ancient traditions, and forbidden knowledge. It was said she never cast a shadow at night and that the air around her grew cold when she entered a room.

Donald was raised in discipline and silence, learning early that fear is stronger than love and that in Vegas, the ones who make the rules are the ones who are willing to break them first.


The Making of a King (1915 - 1941)
As a child, Donald saw his father build the first settlements, and when he was barely a teenager, he watched as the temple that once stood in the heart of the land was torn down to make way for the railroad. He learned his first lesson in power that day—that history belongs to the highest bidder.
By the time he was 20, he had already made his first bloodstained deal, buying out competitors with offers they couldn’t refuse—or survive refusing. He wasn't just fearless—he was relentless.

• 1930 – Gambling was legalized, and Donald saw the future before anyone else. He pushed the family into the casino business, expanding their empire threefold.
• 1941 – He built the first luxury resort in Vegas—right over the ruins of the old temple. It was a masterpiece, attracting the rich, the famous, and the powerful. But with it came the first whispers of something sinister. People vanished, bloodstains never seemed to wash out, and some said the Less family had awakened something that should have stayed buried.

The Golden Age & the Price of Power (1946 - 1960)
With the rise of The Dragon Hotel in 1946, the Less family cemented their control over Vegas. Donald, alongside his family and clan, Bill (Careless), Reckless, Faithless, Ruthless, Loveless, Priceless, and Heartless, ruled the city like monarchs.

• Casinos. Pleasure Houses. Black Markets. If there was money in it, the Less Empire had a stake in it.
• People started disappearing. Scientists. Women. Tourists. No bodies. No evidence. But the rumors never stopped.
• Whispers of "blood drinkers." Patrons spoke of shadowy figures that never seemed to blink, of high-rollers who never lost a hand at the tables, and of parties that ended in silence and red-streaked sheets.
• The Dragon Hotel became legend. A playground for the elite, but a graveyard for the unlucky.

By 1960, Vegas was the "Entertainment Capital of the World." The Less family was untouchable, their name spoken with respect, fear, and something else—reverence.


The Fall of a Dynasty (1966 - 1970)
But even kings bleed.
1966 – The Less brothers turned on each other. Betrayals, greed, and paranoia fractured their empire. Some wanted more power. Some wanted out. Some knew too much.By 1970, the Less Empire was in ruins. The papers called it bankruptcy, bad investments, and scandals. The truth? Donald had lost control.
And when the Bound Clan swept in and claimed Vegas, Donald disappeared.


The Man Who Wouldn’t Die (1975 - Present Day, 2025)
For decades, no one spoke his name. The Bound Clan took over. The Dragon Hotel changed hands. Vegas evolved.
But the rumors never died.

• Donald Less was still alive.
• Donald Less hadn’t aged.
• Donald Less was waiting.

Now, in 2025, he is a ghost, a legend, a monster in the dark. He no longer needs to run casinos or sit at the head of a table. He moves in the shadows, whispering deals into the ears of those who crave power. The Bound Clan may own Vegas, but they do not own him.
And now, people are going missing again. Scientists. Experts in genetics and blood research.


Relationships/Connections:
Fatherless- Always wanted his respect. Never truly got it.
Motherless- Always wanted her love, never truly got that either.
Bill Less “Careless”- Closest Brother in age. Thinks him foolish and illogical, but would protect him no matter how much he screws up.
Jia “Heartless”-  His baby sister. He watched her grow from a suckling to the vampyre she is today. “It was a shame what happened to her lover, but it had to be done. She knew the risks. That boy's blood is on her hands.”
Uncle Tsukishiro Tatsuya "Ruthless" Possibly the only other immortal he fears and loathes outside his father. He is afraid that the business will be given to Tatsuya to run and he can't let that happen.

Her luxurious apartment is located in the penthouse of the Sang Riche Hotel on the Vegas Strip, which is now owned by the Less Clan and has been quietly theirs for the past year or so.
• Her go-to car, a deep purple Zenvo TSR-S, which she often speeds around the city in personally, when not using her chauffer in her Rolls Royce Ghost Series 2.
• Countless amounts of credit cards.

Occupation: Big Spender, Troublermaker & Party Animal

History:
Jia was born into the Less clan, as pure as a pureblood could be and with a bloodline that spanned centuries. While the clan raised her as the baby of the family, she always wished she had a closer bond to her mother and father; Jia was desperate to please them, though she never seemed to receive their praise or negativity. Even to this day, Jia tends to want to impress or shock those around her; any attention is good attention in her eyes.

Despite this, in her youth she was mostly a sweet girl, who was happy to do whatever to help out her siblings and clan, and who went above and beyond to please. She developed a close relationship with one of her elder brothers [TBD], but this relationship went a little downhill when Jia made a mistake that would cost her everything.

Jia meddled with human affairs.

She began meeting an Italian man in his late 20s named Luca Nicolosi, who eventually she fell completely head over heels for. She, of course, hid this from anyone in her clan, for fear of being ostracized or for something happening to her lover. Of course, the relationship was destined for failure and it didn't last long before the two love birds were found out.

This is when things spiralled for Jia, turning her from a sweet girl into a sadistic monster. The man she'd fallen in love with ghosted her, leaving her a note only stating how disgusted he was with her, how he never wanted anything but a bit of fun and that she was completely unlovable. Jia was devastated and eventually her grief turned to rage, in which her uncontrollable behaviours of sadism, bratty-ness and self-indulgence bubbled to the surface. Jia swore off all humans then and there, unable to process what had happened to her in any way other than hatred and violence.

Little did Jia know that Luca had not abandoned her, and that he did indeed love her as she had loved him. His disappearance was conceived and executed by the very people she called family...And if she were to find out...who knows what could happen?
