How cool is this!  I've only read the first couple of books, but think I have most of them in audio format, so can pick the series up again if need be.  I read the first two about three years ago, and then school kind of took over, and I got sidetracked, so never finished.  Here's hoping more guys take an interest, because |I agree, I'd love for this game to move past the recruitment stage, for sure!

I can understand where your coming from Starcry, I am the same way when it comes to a book or a TV series. I do not remember my feelings for the first book, but I do now that I became enthralled and captivated in them over the years and readings or listening to. However if it turns out it is NOT your cup of tea so be it.

There is much truth to that, but do not paint them as simple creatures, it is just that they have had so many years or centuries of 'incomplete life' reaching maturity and loosing the ability to feel or see color. Having but one goal .. to destroy Vampires and hold onto those frail threads of moraility and justice is not an easy thing. That hope.. the hope htis thread will bring to light of finding that flickering candle in a world of darkness is what keeps them going.

I feel most of the Carpathians do not embrace the world around them UNTIL such time that there light is found, and then instead of only seeing or seeking the darkness to put down. They now are given light and color to embrace the world around them BUT ladies do not also think that once they found you.. there love.. there lost soul.. for that is what you are .. you are the other half of the soul.. the ying to there yang? a circle that completes itself ... anyway.. once you are found and connect. Though passion can and will occur (one can only hope and pray). A  Carpathian is still a Carpathian and he shall continue to seek out and destroy those vile creatures of the night.

Some might even say they will work harder once they find there light, for the darkness also seeks to destroy what it once was. Remember that ladies.. Vampires the most powerful of them were once Carpathian Males who lost the fight and instead of choosing to end it all gave into the darkness. Feeding the drinking of blood allows a Vampire to feel... it is not so for a Carpathian who yes must feed but must also control this so as to not drain and kill. What balance they must have what control and to do this for hundred, thousands of years? *sighs*

But back to tech.. let me give you this.. I am in my late forties and the one thing I do now is shake my head and go 'Kids now a days.. they have no respect for authority .. when I was growing up..'. Now imagine you are not in your forties but in your 400 hundred of 1400 hundreds.. how many changes have you seen and yes.. the ups and downs the good and bad that humanity has created. It is like a lover of reading who refuses to buy a Kindle because it is the the same the feel of the book in his or her hands.. The amount of interaction the Male side of these threads will have all depends on what they use to keep hold of there sanity and not give into the darkness.

No feelings, no color.... Oh and guys .. this does not mean we do not feel pain... for  pain is the one feeling universal.. pain and longing.. and I will close with this. Rememberance for it was not until they became of age did a Carpathian Male loose the ability to see color and feel love and joy.. finding the little candle brings that all back.. which can be another sort of pain.. but hopefully a good ache.. that changes to what it should be is meant to be.. if a Carpathian Male is in truth lucky enough to find that light that is.

   I uhhh also forgot one last thin for any guys or girls who will write as the guys.. when writing this thread.. consider this. Your light the female you find that is your other half, truthfully how precious this is to one so long aged. What steps you would go to protect and worship that gift and then also consider this.. her as a mother carrying life within her your children.. and how even more protective you would be, and when you thought you could not lover her and worship her even more .. she gives you that gift and new depths are found.

   Carpathians male and there special and unique mates were written and created to be the essence.. (to me).. of that division that separation for whatever reason occurred that split a soul newly brought into being or however it is .. that is.. and thrust into a vessel. Once found and joined.. completion... the feeling how can anyone truly define and hope to write what the feeling is? I know I am going to do my best.. WHEN this thread comes into being.. I just how I do not disappoint she who will write with me. But I think most Carpathians who find the other half feel that way as well.. not worthy and thus must prove each day each hour each minute that the one they chose who has accepted and become one with them.. made the correct choice.

Okay.. done for now..

Okay one last think.. 'August Rush' ... a movie about a boy who can feel the music all around him..who is Orphaned as a child .... by an cruel act of a grandfather who thought nothing of him only his daughter.. of a man and woman destined to be together and souless a part. August in a way was there soul.. something they created together.. and brought into being .. a child I guess can do that.. until such time he or she needs to go and find that other half of them self.. any way.. August Rush is a good movie.. nuff said.

It's only been up for a few days and there is already promising writings within it. Plus, I've noticed familiar faces. That's always a plus. The reason I was saying it is a mixed bag so far is because of how some of the descriptions are done. (kinda feels over the top when describing Mikhail at times.) While I do feel like smacking the Prince upside the head and that things are moving a little too fast than I am used to, I have decided to just let some of it slide since it is early in the series. (Currently 3 hours and 20 minutes into it.)

They have placed the call in hopes that more male Carpathian's can find their own lifemates. There will be activities and all that fun stuff but they will all be basically living on the estate for the duration. So yes It is more of a premise, trying to find suitable women.

Also just to be clear this is an alternate reality, so some names you seem may not be bad guys as portrayed in the book or some may exist who did not in the book, as this is not fully canon. Yup Yup... need males.. many males.. I may have seven voices in my head 3 female and 4 male but I do not think I could play more than three males in this thread if need be.

Hmmm I think my muses are taking over and I need to state write ONE male and maybe another if any of the ladies become supper desperate ... the third would be scrapping the bottom of the barrel.. It's a basis thing and they might think they are in a tv show, but it's not really a "show" it's more of how they bring the girls to them rather than having to fight to find them.
