California actually is fairly split but the numbers will almost always secure a Dem victory. It's a part of why northern California at times wants to split into a second state, there are large portions of California that are republican. Illinois can be quite similar, our state will almost always end up blue. But if you looked at a map of counties and their voting the map would be mostly red. It's just in the blue lives over 9 million people. While the red is more widespread by acres much less people live in those spots. Cities can determine so much, along with districts. Certain areas of Texas are actually heavily blue. An interesting and saddening one is places that do not vote in general. A common one is people bringing up "Well I don't care what happens to Kentucky they voted Trump!" But if you look at their votes by county, most of them are actually gray and when they make graphics it's by percentage of who voted. A very small portion of people in Kentucky voted and they mostly went Trump, so Trump won it.

Someone once tried to make a graphic of what that looks like regarding the 2016 election called "The United States of Apathy." In regards to how not only did Donald Trump lose the popular vote while winning the electoral, most people just did not vote.

Trump will be in my neck of the woods a month from now - he's gonna make a visit to Poland for the 80th anniversary of the beginning of WW2 (a state visit, I think) and then he'll continue to Copenhagen on Sept. 2-3 to meet the Danish cabinet (which is leaning left after elections a few months back) and the royal family, headed by Queen Margrethe, who has long been known to dislike xenophobia, racism and boorish attitudes, and has gone public on such topics several times. I think the invitation was urged on by the former cabinet, a more conservative one, though formally it was issued by the Queen as head of state.

Trump does like to be rubbing elbows with a royal family, so I'm sure he'll enjoy it. :) This is all less than fifty km from where I live.

There is the unedited full clip, in which he specifies he was talking about the torch rally, which was White Supremacist run and full of them chanting "Jews will not replace us" and more. I know recently Donald Trump shared a video defending him by the conspiracy theory fake university PragerU which constantly pumps out propaganda to trick people who aren't media literate so I imagine there is some extra confusing stuff lately. But Donald Trump did indeed say among the white supremacists there were very fine people, he said to condemn them then said the people at the torch rally were mostly good. Donald Trump is extremely racist, I'm not sure what more can be said that hasn't been shared a million times already of him in his own words making extremely racist statements.
