Tall, dark and handsome is a rather fitting description for one Nicholas Stephen Barnes. He sports a sculpted body, all lean and compact muscle giving him the shape and proportions of a gymnast or a prize fighter. Attractive yet very much functional. He stands fairly taller than most, with warm and welcoming, green eyes, full, thick, cupid bow lips seemingly almost always curved into a mischievous grin as well as sporting well defined cheekbones and jaw.Personality Description:
When both of your father figures were Captain America at some point in their lives its difficult to grow up jaded and angst riddled. Nick always keeps up a positive attitude because despite all the darkness and evil he says on a daily basis thanks to his work, he grew up seeing the good it had to offer and was taught just how precious it was. That it was worth fighting for. That being said he is not naive when he was old enough his father divulged to him the nature of his work as the man on the wall that the good and innocence of this world was to be protected by any means necessary and that protecting sometimes meant sacrifice. Besides those deep seated ideals based down from each of his father figures Nick is a bit of a joker, typically exude a calm, relaxed demeanour that at times borders on cocky. Hes young and has had far too many success and not nearly enough failures to temper his arrogance. In fact his greatest failure to date lead to him getting superpowers no deepening his cockiness.Background/History:
The Man on the Wall, the one tasked with waging a shadowy war against the universe, protecting earth from unseen threats by stopping them before they pop up by any means necessary. A job passed down until the mantle fell to Bucky Barnes and his partner Daisy Johnson. But all those near death experiences coupled with the isolation of space lead to a rather shaky relationship, one which was "blessed" with a child. After some deliberation the two decided Daisy should keep the child and return to earth and returning to a job at S.H.I.E.L.D. where as Bucky would continue his mission to protect the earth calling in when he could.
Despite both his parents job roles Nicholas had a reasonably normal upbringing. His dad may have spent most in time in space protecting the earth but lots of kids had parents deployed overseas and serving their country his was just a little farther afield. As for his mother despite the fact her job was at S.H.I.E.L.D. she did her best to be there for her son. Nick also had the added benefit of having Steve Rogers as a Godfather, who was more than happy to step into the role of parent should Bucky or Daisy being unavailable, treating him like one of his own.
Nothing incredibly noteworthy happened during Nicholas's childhood, that's not to say it was dull or boring, oh no. There was plenty of childhood adventures, BBQ's a veritable prank war between him an Ana with him quickly luring James over to his side and deputising him. Of course the pranking began to get difficult as Ana began to be trained with any attempts to prank her typically leaving him with bruise or eating dirt. Determined not to remain defenseless he begged his Mom to allow him to train with both and Mr and Mrs Roger agreeing to train him. He took to it like a fish to water, seemingly having the same natural affinity as his father but even with his raw talent he was always trailing behind Anastasia. He couldn't wait to show his father the next time he returned to earth and was lucky enough to be training with the rogers when his father came in through the door but upon seeing his son's progressing skills Bucky did not respond with pride or the praise Nick had hoped for instead he received a look of horror and his father's commanding voice banning him from training anymore. He was ready refuse, to argue that it wasn't fair, that he was good at it, that there was nothing wrong with it, that the Rogers let their kids do it. But Steve got their first, attempting to reassure his old friend in that quiet, soothing, reasonable way of his. Sadly it didn't work Bucky only proceed to rip the sleeve from his left arm, brandishing the metal replacement in Steve's face and yelling that he didn't want his son to end up like he did. Nick didn't see the problem, his dad was great but a silence seemed to descend over the adults as the smiling, confident Mr rogers seemed to wilt somewhat. His mother quickly sent him and the 2 rogers children upstairs and they went and sat on the top step, listening to their parents argue below.
Nick was woken the next morning by his father, he apologised for his actions last night, told him he was very impressed by what he could do and was glad it made him happy. He said he would allow him to keep up his training but he had to promise him he wouldn't try to follow in the footsteps of the adults in his life, at least not until he was an adult. Nick happily agreed and Bucky began to add to his training when he was around, teaching him some of the skills he had picked up as the winter soldier.
When he graduated high school he immediately joined the SHIELD academy, entering their field operative training program. He excelled in all aspects of the training, the lessons learned in childhood serving him well and he soon graduated top of his class and began work as a SHIELD operative.
His missions were generally a success giving him a certain amount of confidence that was not helped by how his parents reputation added to his own. His first major failing took place whilst attempting to stop a group of terrorists who had stolen an unknown biological weapon and had intentions to use it. Nick and his team were unable to stop the the bomb going off but they were able to contain at the cost of Nick trapping himself in with the bomb. When the dust had clear and SHIELD science operatives had deemed the site safe to return to they weren't able to find Nick's body. Instead they found a large cocoon time creation that was currently exhibiting signs of life. As the scientists moved forward to examine it, it cracked open and Nicholas Barnes spilled out onto the ground. It had turned how the biological agent within the bomb was terrigen mist and he was now inhuman.
SWORD immediately stepped in apprehending him and confining him as they they began to test to see just what abilities he had gained and their limits. Upon discovering he was clairvoyant and just what he could do with his gift and all the training he had received with SHIELD Nick was offered an operative role within SWORD. He agreed happily to continue to do his part. He was given the codename Prophet and tasked with hunting down criminals currently at large.==The Special Stuff==Roster Position:
Besides strength, Nick possesses certain physical skills superior to those of human athletes. His Inhuman metabolism affords her slightly greater reaction time, endurance, and speed than the human race's most perfect physical specimen, Captain America.
- Enhanced Strength
- Enhanced Speed
- Enhanced Reflexes
- Enhanced Endurance
: After being subjected to the Terrigen mists Nicholas gained the the power of Clairvoyance which seems to manifest himself in one of two ways. The first is that SHIELD scientists described as Visual Linking, upon thinking about a certain person Nick is capable of seeing through their eyes, seeing what they are seeing then and now. He can only perceive what they see for example, if the person needed glasses but wasnt wearing them what Nick saw would be blurred etc. The second version is remote viewing, for this Nick focuses on a place or object and is able to perceive the immediate area in his minds eye, when using this ability his powers are not limited by conditions within the area. For example if he chose to perceive a room that was in pitch darkness Nicholas would still be able to perceive the objects within the room, etc. But for Nick to use this power he needs to know the place he is looking for exists, for example he could choose to perceive the room next door even if he has never entered it but he could not perceive the location of his father if he didnt know where is father was. Since gaining this power Nick has trained hard to find whatever advantage it could possible give him and has trained himself to be able to focus both on what he can see in the real world and what the clairvoyance allows him to see in his mind, being able to concentrate and react to both simultaneously.Skills:Master Martial Artist:

Nick will protect innocents at any costs, this stems from his new powers of clairvoyance, Nick being forced to watch through his preys eyes as he hunts them and seeing first hand all the evil and damage and lives they take. This desire has lead to some complications in the field with him going without food or sleep at times in hopes of catching the bad guy causing him to pass out at one point.Guilt:-
Nick carries around a deep sense of guilt for all those he "watched" die due to the fact he simply hadn't caught the bad guy yet. This guilt leads to him constantly second guessing himself and reliving his past moments, wondering if there was something he could have done better. My burdens and mine alone:-
He doesn't believe in sharing responsibilities or lightening the load. His missions our his own, the consequences are his to take and the burdens to carry are his own. The side effect of these traits is that he is not much of a team player, also he tends to hide his own inner turmoil behind a false smile and very flippant behaviour.Extras:Zero-Point Energy Shield
- Annie may have called dibs on the vibranium shield of Captain America but that doesn't mean Nick would do without. When SWORD sent Nick down the armoury to choose a suitable weapon for his new identity and his eye saw Cap's old energy based replacement shield the choice was made. SWORD performed few upgrades to it, namely changing the Gauntlet to a wristwatch and performing a slightly change in the colour giving it a more muted blue appearance in an attempt to make it less visible for those stealth missions.Assorted weaponry
