I've been following this for the last couple of weeks, and while it looks hella overwhelming with a few dozen existing characters and endless sub-threads already, I have definitely been craving an urban SoL. :)

Is it a requirement that characters be part of one of the families?

Nope, it's not! They have to live and work in one of the boroughs but they can have no connection to the crime world at all if you'd like. I have a few that are like that! :)

Awesome. I have an existing character from the "L.A. Confidential" SoL I was apart of awhile back here on E before it ended, but I really loved writing them. They're a photographer/street artist, which would be huge in a place like NYC.

Not really tied to any criminal acts...except for one time she was arrested for a day and fined for painting "graffiti" on a government building. Critics...smh.

Anyway, hopefully a character like that will fit in with the RP :)
