Tempted to roll up an alt Raven :D  Just b/c I wuvs her. Maybe once things get going some.

I love her too! You're welcome to put a reserve down if you like.

Nowherewoman

Let me see if I can find a good adult FC. Makes sense to have a greyscale hero and a protovillain both ;D
If one thinks of omniscience as causal rather than predictive- not 'THIS!', but 'If this, then that; infinite matrices of infinite dimensions each- it goes a long way towards reconciliation with Free Will.

It does not, however, make it easier to contemplate or accept a being capable of visualizing such an array.

Sounds good to me. Depending on the way you go with it due to her appearance I don't mind her being art-only. I'm doing Lobo using art-only due to his alien traits.

Nowherewoman

Maybe Obsidian Kerttu?

There aren't a LOT of shots with her not in excessively bizarre clothing, but some.

Maybe she's been a show dancer, or (fake) magician's assistant trying to deny her heritage. Until war breaks out, and the metashite starts flying...

Oh, GDI.

Penguin (Oswald Cobblepot)

I assume that if I modeled him off his portrayal in Gotham, that would be OK?

How is the game doing for villains, anyway?

It's unusual but not problematically anachronistic and I think it suits Raven really well. Her facial features suit the role too.

A take modelled on his portrayal in Gotham would work for me. I think some of the show's writing was pretty clumsy but in general I found him pretty endearing/interesting when he wasn't being handed some really heavy-handed lines.

Generally favouring heroes and neutrals so far, for sure. A slight flaw is that lots of very cool villains are tooled up to fight the entire JL all at once so there are way more barred villains than heroes since they are just overboard. Still, I love writing villains and most NPC plans are villainous or at least sources of conflict / stuff to do.

BlueOrange

OK, so I’ll register faceclaim holds on Robin Lord Taylor (for Penguin) and Narumi Ookawa (for my Japanese Navy concept). Will aim to get you the sheets in the next day or so.

I can peek around a bit more, but she's my frontrunner ATM.

I'm also working on trimming her powers slightly, since she's a bit of a MacGuffin.

Sounds good, both noted!

I'm definitely a fan of this choice.

That works. In terms of her magic, I am perfectly content with some vagueness. I'm generally trusting that everyone will be aware that it's not a 'competitive' game and that any conflict should just be discussed to create a fun story not to dick-measure about who 'wins'

I feel like Constantine was made for the 1940's, but I'm not even sure if I can take on another game.

Must thinkkkk

He does fit the vibe pretty naturally, for sure. You'd be very welcome if you feel you have the time and there would be no pressure to take on more than 1-2 scenes at a time. I will say I know Constantine is popular so do feel free to reserve him so you have some time to weigh it up over a couple of weeks.

I'll reserve him for now and just sorta weigh it out in my head. :D

Sounds good! I'd certainly like to have you in the game.

So out of curioisty what's the populations take on this whole thing? Is it sort of similar to current DC stuff where they're cool with aliens and metas walking around as long as they're not killing people? Or more X-Men Mutie Scum esque?

Mixed but not really like mutants because metas are so much more varied. Some are humans, some gods, some aliens. Some might hate certain types more than others.

Also, the fact that the vast majority of metahumans fought with the allies in WWII certainly did their public image a lot of good. Villains aren't that established yet as the war has only been over for two months so the public doesn't have many of them to fear/hate yet and there haven't been any big tragedies on US soil (Perpetuated by metahumans and known to the public, that is).

Similarly, people like Superman are like god's gift to PR (Despite Lex's best efforts).

Still there will be those fearful of someone like Captain Atom, for sure. He's undeniably a worry to have around, and Lex is trying to turn public opinion against Superman and predominantly alien metahumans in particular.

I could totally see bouncing Raven off John :D

Right up until he opens his mouth and you get that accent.

Kadigan

But it's such an authentic English accent....

Nowherewoman

Toying with the idea that Constantine was one of the ones that helped Raven fight off Trigon when he first appeared to her. Bit of a riff on the Hellblazer backstory, with the failed exorcism.

Now you've got me thinking about Russian submarine captains ;)

I will add Geo-Force is available - especially since Tara is certain he is dead but he is not canon-dead <3.

And Scottish starship engineers?

They do sound remarkably similar to Russian submarine captains, now that you mention it :)

Gonna take a shot for the stars, and toss in some interest as Batman, Catwoman, and Wonder Woman. No face claims in mind yet, but I'll try to get you some sheets and all that in the next day or two. :D
