Hello all! Any other gamers out there!? If so tell me your favorite video game and why!

Mine is probably Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, because on-top of Metroid being my favorite video game franchise overall, I also just really love the dark atmosphere and high difficulty Prime 2 provides. It also just builds on all the good things the original Metroid Prime game established!

Right now, mine is Elder Scrolls Online.
I've been a puppet, a pauper, a purate, a poet, a pawn, and a king.
I've been up, and down, and over, and out.
And I know one thing:
Each time I fall...flat on my face,
I pick myself up and get back in the race.

It's so hard to choose 1 favorite game as I've played and loved many games over the years. A childhood classic and favorite would easily be Paper Mario for the Nintendo 64.

Currently though, I'd have to choose between Monster Hunter World, Nier Automata or Hollow Knight. And these are just 3 of my favorite games.

Oh I love Hollow Knight. That is a really fun game to play too!

My favorite is Haunting Ground (PS2).

You are someone after my own heart!
I have been trying to get my hands on a copy for years now  :-X

Other favorites are Harvest moon and Skyrim elder scrolls

Ohh man... it is so hard to pick just one! Recently, due to shut downs, my friends and I have been playing a lot of Fortnite!

Though, in preparation of JW Dominion I have been playing the park simulation Jurassic World Evolution. It is so well done and the dinosaurs look like they do in the movies so I am nerding out a bit over it.

Though I will always nerd over KH, FF VII and Pokémon cause I am a child at heart. :P
My Heritage Is Rebellion.

Growing up, it was Ragnarok Online. I loved the social aspects of MMORPGs back then. Made a bunch of friends through RO, and it was also where I first met my husband.

Right now, it's probably Stardew Valley. Wish I have more free time to play.

Fallout: New Vegas hands-down.

I think for me Kingdom Hearts II is possibly one of my favorites just because it introduced dual wielding abut also just the general feel of the story and cast. To be fair the longest running favorite for me was Xenosaga Episode 3 but unfortunately not many people know that series of games this day and age and sadly that was meant to be 6 games in total.

Venorik

Oof, this is actually a rough one, there's so many. The one to most likely take it would be StarCraft 2, and a close runner up would be a little indie title calls Starsector.

Eulophia

Hmm... Ragnarok Online was awesome back in the day..
But I gotta say I love all the Final Fantasy games!
And The Last of Us on PS4 was amazing too..
Truly hard to think which is the best. who takes number 1?
and also..... I would always play on the Super Nintendo anytime, Super Mario World & Donkey Kong country.

SalyaDarken

Final Fantasy mostly 9 but I love all of the Final Fantasy games.... all but those two 5 and 6...

Unholy

Right now my list of favorite games is...

I forgot about Dragon Age aaaa how could I forget the series that gave its fans Fenris

I loved those gamestoo! ^^

MasterOfWhispers

While I love Baldur's Gate 3 myself. I'm going to have go with Persona 5 Royal. I've most have played that game 4 times. I Love the characters and the story overall.

LostInTheMist

Wow. This one really depends. Sometimes I'm looking to conquer the universe, or just try out some new science fiction idea, Stellaris can't be beat. Space toadstools that were mutated by a nuclear war and now exist as a harmonious worker's collective, looking to liberate all other workers in the Galaxy from their suppression fields? Stellaris can do it.

Or maybe I want to play a dynastic ruler in medieval Europe, in which case you have to go with Crusader Kings 3.

Maybe I want to relax and farm, catch a song down at the saloon and chat with the locals in Pelican town, so I go back to Stardew Valley.

Sometimes I like to be a space trader, in which case I'll go for Escape Velocity, Escape Velocity: Override, Escape Velocity: Nova, or Endless Sky.

And of course, maybe I want to save the world from [insert existential threat] so pick your cRPG. I think Baldur's Gate 3 is the best of all of them by combining the best elements of every other CRPG out there, but I have, at various times enjoyed DOS, Pathfinder, Pillars of Eternity, Mass Effect, Knights of the Old Republic, Elder Scrolls, Solasta, Dragon Age, and more that I'm sure I'm forgetting at the moment.

I don't think there's any game that is an ABSOLUTE favorite.... But I ALWAYS go back to Stardew Valley, no matter what happens.

So the surprise winner (surprising even to me) is Stardew Valley is my favorite video game.

I cannot understand this. I've never been addicted to a MMORPG, and I have been exposed to them. I played a few hours of WoW, and walked away, never to play it again. The same applies to a lot of others including World War Online and EVE Online, both of which I briefly paid for, but which never gave me enough to be willing to subscribe.

The Old Wolf

Well I have been playing Star Wars the old republic for 13 years BUT I have gone LONG stretches without playing and only subscribed when I first got it back in 2011 , I have NEVER played WoW , and I generally play solo which is weird for a MMORPG

Dreinnae

I just recently was awoken to the joys of FrostPunk! I’ve been really on a survival-game grind these days!

Im So Tired

Mine is 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses'. I adore story-heavy games that aren't too difficult, as I am generally not very good at making decisions quickly, such as in online games. I love the "chess-like" fighting mechanics, the wide array of personalities, different relationships and endings which gives endless replayability.
