So, I've been rolling through, and I was curious if you were willing to allow for A) using Realms of Sorcery, and B) having us pick careers. As I'm kinda of on a runesmith kick, but that requires a 64-65 on the career roll, which isn't happening, and strikes me as deeply weird not to start with, given the hereditary nature and secrecy of the profession. Technically student and a few others can enter into apprentice runesmith, but it really isn't the sort of thing that strikes me as verisimilitudinous.

When I'm about in the day tomorrow I'll roll Cavindel's starting gold crowns and then I believe I'll be more or less complete when adding in the starting common trappings. I'm thinking of having him as a sort of wandering ronin and former guard/escort for some Wood Elf Spellsinger. It would show why he's wandering out of the forest, has some affinity to magic sense (without practicing it), he'd have been a Glade Rider before, though now is somewhat of a guard for hire.

Well if you can pass me a description of how he is looks and personality wise I think Gen would love to have made Cav's aciquatence. She could always use a bodyguard to help keep her safe...and maybe snuggle up with for warmth at night (purely platonically unless you want things to have gone farther, I just see Gen as being very much playful and somewhat mischievous). xD

I'm not opposed to allowing the supplement books so long as you can quote book/pages to me so I don't have to go hunting around for stuff too much. Nor am I opposed to allowing a career choice if it fits a character's ideal story. Assuming runesmith is a basic career(don't know them all off the top of my head yet)

Fluff: Okri is a powerfully built dwarf, strong and tall, hailing from the Grey Mountains. While runesmithing was his birthright by his clan, he spent his young years following in his father's footsteps instead, one of the rangers that kept the Grey Mountains clear of greenskins and safe for travel. He and a cousin roamed through the mountains, retrieving lost travellers, chasing off stray goblins, and keeping tabs on a local giant, in general having their fill of adventure under the open sky. It wasn't until well into his thirties that Okri settled down, once his mother had reminded him that some of his ways were downright unseemly for a dwarf of his eventual stature, insisting that he take his hereditary craft seriously.

Even then he's never lost the love of travel, gregarious and hard-drinking, equally ready to spin tales of his past adventures with his beloved cousin as he is to get into a friendly brawl or flirt with the nearest tavern girl. He has travelled regularly during his apprenticeship, sometimes to other holds to consult with various masters or elsewhere to fetch the esoteric tools and supplies used in the forging of runes. It was on one of these expeditions up north into the Empire when news arrived of the strange comet that struck Mordheim. Even an ordinary deposit of some kind of star metal would have warranted investigation, and this one was more fantastic than most he'd heard of. He canceled his previous errand, making his way to the city with all possible haste.

Okay... So i made a character and I'm waiting for GM-Urbanzorro to work out some things with me so I can have it finished.

The main idea is a halfling initiate of Esmeralda. So she can be the team's cook, healer and ambassador. With her 48 in fellowship and because of charm, public speaking and gossip she's also the team's sexy bundle of joy.
She doesn't do combat, though. She has 17 in weapon skills and 15 in strength. So she tends to hide behind the dwarf and repay the protection with lots of healing and packed lunches.

Her name is Susy Johannisbeeren.

She's a Wizard she can lay waste to the enemy with might fireballs, hurl forth lightning bolts and summon powerful beings from other planes to our aid. (My character heard lots of stories ...)

That's master wizards. Gen doesn't even know what lore likes her yet. xD

Also summoning beings from other planes like the warp is dark magic, which is HERESY! xD

Illiterate Seaman aren't exactly well educated, she will bring the whole magic thing up when they meet anything scary as in - Just call forth a storm of lightning or waves of fire to destroy the enemy Wizard I heard your all good at that from an old sailor who told us stories. (smacks her on the back for encouragement)

Suzy can hit as well as any elf with a bow. She just doesn't like to. But she does carry a staff sling for protection but mostly to have a stick to carry her cooking pot with over her shoulder.

Gen: *slaps the sailor across the face* "The winds aren't like that mon cher as I well know. They are like the tide itself. Also Fire and lightning are of two entirely different orders, making such a presumption will likely get you killed...especially if you were talking to a member of the bright order. They are known to be a bit of a...passionate bunch and aren't known to take insults lightly. *pinches the bridge of her nose* "I see some of us are in dire need of a proper education on the magical arts...Perhaps our dear elven friend would like to help me better explain things so we do not accidentally offend a higher member of the great colleges of Altdorf if given the chance to make their acquaintance."
