For those with a smoche more lore, how might the various priest types fit into this story. 

Like, would an acolyte of sigmar sully his hands with looting?  Or would he consider it personally taking up the banner to clear the corruption from a tainted city?

Well aside from either a rogue warrior priest or the sisters of sigmar the church largely avoided Mordheim like the plague.

I'd roll the character up first before worrying about that too much. Might get a career that is pretty unexpected.

Hey Muse, as a matter of fact I'm still accepting characters (though 7 is about as high as I'm gonna let it go so I'd say yours would be the last). As far as fluff wise a priestly character would probably be more intereste din the salvation of the survivors in the city then the looting of wyrdstone. Though they might also be of a mind to minister/see to the faith of the other looters. Most of the human warbands in Mordheim aren't exactly criminals, they are usually just mercenaries who are being backed by one of the legitimate factions within the Empire.

Timeline question; roughly what Imperial Year will the game be set in?

Seeing as the skirmish game took place around 1999, the city went bang and was burned to the ground circa 2000 and the usual WFRP games are set in 'modern' Warhammer times which is circa 2520. I'm rusty on the lore of Mordheim, though if I remember it got ruined once by the Wyrdstone meteor and then later it was burned to the ground by the Imperial church?

I'm guessing a brief timeline would be neat.

Good question! Your basic summary is correct. The comet actually hit on New Years eve. Basically right at the turn of the year 2000. So the game would take place during the 2000-2005ish range. After the comet has hit, but before any official action has taken place to save or destroy the ruins. It should also be noted that at this time the Empire is in a bit of a civil war. With Reikland, Middenheim, and Marienburg all supporting different claimants to the currently vacant throne.

@Muse: If you want to make someone go ahead and I'm fine with having them join in.

Once we get all the characters onto the character thread I'll probably get cracking on the opening post. I'm thinking that the characters will all be traveling to the city as part of a small wagon train. And things will start with said wagon train getting ready to set out after having made camp for the night.

What direction are we coming from Zorro? I ask cause Mordheim can only be entered from the north or south last time I checked the map. xD

edit: nevermind I just looked again and it does have east and west gates. xD
