This story is greatly inspired by a previous group game that took place upon this site quite sometime ago.  However, with over a year passing, and both GMs having stepped back from the site, I've been inspired by the original concept quite a lot, and wanted to do a revival of sorts.

It's not for the faint of heart.  It's intended to be a dark and extreme story.  If you're looking for something light and easygoing, it's not going to be for you.

This is intended to be a small group story, with a focus on a family of four or six, each with their own issues and demons in their lives, who begin to succumb to those thoughts, vices, and the like in a remote cabin, and the evil spirits and entities that haunt it, in the middle of a densely wooded area. 

Characters may be within the site rules, sixteen and over.  It's highly encouraged that your character's ages are reasonable.  No thirty year old mother and father of three teenagers, please.  All sexual orientations are welcome.

The characters will be family.  They will have known each other for their lives, and will have had different sorts of relationships and the like with each other family member.  This can be expanded if there is enough interest, through a son or daughter bringing their significant other.  It's on this family vacation, where instead of bonding and getting away from the stresses of their lives, they end up finding something they never bargained for...

The evil in the cabin is not one that is a poltergeist or anything of that nature.  Instead, it is a cerebral entity, one that thrives on chaos, debauchery, and sin.  It knows your greatest fears, your darkest secrets, your most disturbing thoughts and desires, and preys upon them to it's advantage.  It is a spirit of corruption and debauchery, bringing out the worst and depravest of thoughts and intentions in people.  Dreams, visions, thoughts planted in their heads, slowly bringing it out in manifestation that will consume them.

This is intended to be a slow, gradual transformation in each character.  They will not change over night.  It is a subtle growing, a toxic seed in their minds.

When it comes to rating and content, this story is intended to be extreme, featuring the possibility of extreme scenes, incestuous relations, and the like through the course of the story.  What happens is ultimately up to the writers in this group.

I should also note that this recruitment will not be a free for all, first come first serve thing.  Just because you voice interest in a particular role doesn't mean you're guaranteed it.  I'm looking to build a cohesive group with a reliable, fun gang of writers.

Definitely very interested in this sort of scenario!  I had a similar idea, but you put it in much better words than I could.

I'd be up for playing the father or the eldest son, but will sketch out the character concepts for appraisal.

For those who have spoken about interest...

What would the feeling be for a sort of set posting rate and posting order?  For example, each writer has a maximum of five to seven days to post in their turn, or are skipped over?  I was wondering since I've been in something similar to it before, and really liked how it paced out and kept everything together.

Regardless of forum, seven days is generous as far as posting goes. Beyond that, skip so their muse can get a kick in the pants in the meantime.

I have an interist in any of the kids, eldest/youngest, Brother/sister, i think i could come up with something good for any such!

And i've played in the "set order, X days late Skip" style, and like the good pace it helps keep things going!

I would be interested in playing the younger brother, although if the younger sister wanted us to be fraternal twins, I think we could have a lot of fun with that.

I have a character ready made from a similar story I'd love to develop further and modify for the eldest daughter. I usually hesitate to fill my plate more than I have, but it seems this thread will be reasonably paced. I also can't resist all the possibilities for detailed spycological exploration.
