Appearance:
A stocky barrel of a man, Cameron officially measures in at 6'5" but his hunched over posture makes him look slightly shorter, with a body that's a mix of muscle and fat born of hard work followed by harder drinking. The miner does his best to keep the brown hair and beard framing his equally brown eyes at a neat short length, with the thick dark hair also visible on his torso and limbs, accompanied with tattoos of his two daughter's names on his shoulder blades, which are set just above a savage looking scar running down his back from a workplace accident that almost left him paralyzed from the waist down. When changed out of his uniform, he prefers the comfort of cotton shirts, cargo shorts and long, wide fit sneakers for his size 14 feet.


Personality:
A friendly face who's always willing to lend an ear or hand, Momma Bear does his best to keep the members of the crew, young and old alike, safe and in good spirits... especially alcoholic spirits, except whilst on the clock as the last thing he wants is to lose more good men to the likes of a drunken screw-up. Those who've known him longer however never fail to miss those moments where he suddenly zones out, in truth lost to a waking nightmare where he's reminded of one of the many terrible things he's witnessed over the years, yet no one's ever dared to report him over these spells, especially when the only thing it would result in is the company deeming him medically unfit and terminating his contract.

Sexually and romantically, he doesn't have an issue with what shape his lovers take, as a result of growing up on a higher than average gravity world, where most of the men and a fair number of the women, shared a similar body type to his own.


History:
Born on a cold and rocky world into a family of equally stocky and muscular mushroom harvesters, Cameron grew to be much like his homeworld's other inhabitants, with a deliberate and enduring approach to his actions, along with a fear of falls and heights, which sometimes sees him moving about on all fours for added stability. His childhood was filled with long days of searching for and transplanting the giant mushrooms found in the depths of the various local cave systems, which where thankfully devoid of hostile animal life, but did result in a few instances where he struggled to make his way through flooded and/or tight tunnels.

On his twentieth year, Cameron joined one of his older sisters in leaving on a ship promising all manner of offworld opportunities, where they could put their strength and expertise to work. The overgrown human eventually finding a home of sorts in the arid backwater colony of Phetos, where he initially helped with dockwork before learning how to use their mining equipment, where the money really was. It was a dangerous and strenuous living, but it reminded him of home and lead to him meeting his ex-wife Ambrosia, whose family ran the local bar and whom he'd go on to have two daughters with.

Sadly, their family was torn apart by a mine collapse that saw twelve dead and Cameron in a coma and almost crippled. It would be two years before he was capable of returning to work, but following his time in the coma and with his foul and often distant mood that followed as he went through rehab, there was little love left between the couple and she went on to admit to her developing feelings for one of their friends who'd supported her through all this. It all ended with him signing the divorce papers, thanking her for sticking with him through his recovery and telling her to find some happiness, as he left a place that now held too many painful memories for him to stay.

Ultimately, it was through some of his surviving coworkers, that he was able to score a contract with Shintech Mining Solutions for their mining operations on R4-6NA and now a decade later he's one of their 'veteran' employees, who loyally stood alongside Conrad during the strike and is determined to make sure none of his coworkers suffer like those others did on Phetos.

Likes: Getting vidcalls from his daughters, spiced rum, old science fiction media, triple distilled whisky, his handheld games console, dry port wine, bubblebaths (which are usually a luxury) and ice coffee
Dislikes: Heights, falling over, not getting enough sleep and people not taking their safety seriously, especially in the mines or around other dangerous equipment
