I've started to hear hits that I heard growing up on classic rock stations on occasion.

Seeing some trends which are somehow modern despite being like originally from 2000s or 2010s. Also songs trending which makes me realise how old I am sometimes haha!

I saw Aladdin in theaters. No, the animated one. (Well, okay, I also saw the live action one in theaters.)

Granted, seeing the animated one was my first experience at a movie theater. I was almost five at the time. I remember being scared by the cave of wonders, but overall being amazed by the experience of seeing a movie in the theaters.

In my last session, my therapist was making an analogy between memories and a VHS tape. Before he got too far, he stopped himself because he forgot my age, and asked, "You're old enough to remember VHS tapes, right?"

Acronyms, new acronyms. Or maybe they call it chatspeak? I dunno... all the shortened bits... that confuse the ever loving daylights out of me... as I guess repeatedly what on earth they might mean... to no avail.

Also the minecraft movie upsetting me and making me feel like an old person wanting to wave my fist to say 'get off my d/mn lawn.' For they made the world I grew up horrified of... into... a cushy playground of safety. The only time minecraft should be laughed at is when you have slowly spiraled into insanity from being lost in caverns after having dropped your map accidentally into lava, when you no longer know which way is up or down then right when you see the light of day - you are asploded by a creeper. Then hysteria can creep in after with fits of laughter as you seek out your revenge. -So sayeth a dweeb from ye olden days.

Another thing that makes me feel old :: I still miss text games... that just required writing words... to play...

Ooooo and knowing cursive, plus preferring cursive to normal handwriting... because it takes less thought to smoosh all the words together than write all the letters separate.

I wonder if its too late to try to learn enough coding to make a text game though as well...

Not necessarily. Learning coding is semi-simple if you're willing and there's free courses online.

I feel old, because I remember a time when they made kool aid pouches half clear and I want that back. I want to see just how much artificial coloring is in there to poison me slowly. 

I also remember an extremely brief period in time when I believe hersheys made chocolate pringle shaped. I want that back too. Give me all the awkward food creations.

I have, thank you, it just really took me by surprise at the time. 

I feel old because I just looked at the prep exams for college (I'm going back to education because I could use a degree that isn't just decorative) and thought; "What do you mean, I can use a calculator???"

Biology has changed the taxonomic system to add "Domain" to the top, because apparently the five Kingdoms weren't broad enough. (And I guess there are seven Kingdoms now?) Stop discovering new species and focus on saving the ones we have right now! (I kid, but I gotta express the grumpy old man opinion.)

Also, I'm the second oldest living member of my family on both sides. (I have an uncle in each family.)

I feel old for how I was taught by puppets in my youth. People don't really do puppets anymore, which is sad. Puppets were cool. Rest in peace Jim Henson. (( Wait what , since when did he pass away before I was even born!?!?1 That's impossiblee........ ))
