Personality: Emotionally impulsive, immature, sociable, and a closet romantic. Isaac loves attention and reveals in the idea of being liked and loved by others. He also loves entertaining, being entertained, being around people, and is highly susceptible to flattery. As a sporty type, and fairly good looking to boot, he was quite the popular kid at high school and that suited him just fine. With a naturally flirtatious and joking nature, people tended to gravitate towards him, and he to them. As he grew up though, some people found his antics annoying. Before his mutation kicked in, Isaac preferred to avoid physical fights. But now, he gravitates more towards hiding behind his mutation; pushing someone's buttons until they strike out. Then he
really has a laugh.
While he loves being in the lime light though, Isaac is also happy to just step back and go with the flow. Although, if something is going to plan, he'd be the one to throw a stone in the works just for that extra challenge. One thing he struggles with, is decision making, making him easily influenced and subject to peer pressure. In fact, he's more than likely to take on stupid bets to impress people, rather than think something through. He's also fairly impatient, verging on having mild ADD. Boredom strikes him fairly easily, and unless he has something to focus on, his attention can bounce around. He often takes up new activities enthusiastically but lacks the application, constantly needing new interests, flitting from project to project but never finishing anything. To him, life is a game which must always be full of fresh moves and continuous entertainment, free of labour and routine. Although he is quite intelligent, and does enjoy board and card games, especially chess, he is more than likely to adopt a more superficial shell in order to stay popular and impress people.
Background: There was no denying that Jacob Levitt had always wanted a son to pitch a baseball with or toss basketballs through hoops out on the front lawn. He was of course over the moon with the birth of his daughter, but when his wife fell pregnant again two years later, and the sex was confirmed as a boy, he was over the moon all over again. The good news threw salt on the bitter wound as his major league basketball contract failed to meet renewal standards. An injured athlete was a useless athlete as far as the managers were concerned, and easily replaced by the up and coming young stars fresh out of minor league training. After a brief spell of depression, he embraced the fact that at least his family unit finally felt complete.
So Isaac, following the Jewish naming traditions of his devoutly practising parents, was born a healthy boy one early June afternoon. Much like his older sister of two years, his childhood was steered towards a more athletic path. Unlike his sister, he revelled in sports, with baseball soon becoming his preferred. For the most part, he got on pretty well with his sister, but was definitely the more popular of the two throughout school. While she begun to lean more towards academics, he entered the same High School to immediately pursue sports fully. He would be the type to get a college sports scholarships, without a doubt. Though teachers and his father pushed him towards pursing an athletic career, he just took each day as it came to him without any future goals in mind. If anything, he just wanted to stay young forever. He was after all, only 12.
Then Beth's mutation started to manifest. At first, Isaac was feeling slightly jealous. His sister was going through these cool changes, and what did he get in return? A freaking Bar Mitzvah. But the excitement soon died down when Beth failed to look cool like the mutants on TV. Major let down. He was glad when she ran away from home without really telling anyone where she was going, but he was also glad that she valued their sibling friendship with occasional letters. The longer she was gone, the more he started to miss her.
The stress of it all forced the family to move suburbs, and Isaac changed school at a difficult time after his Bar Mitzvah, aged 13. Forced to settle into a new high school and make new friends, he still managed to excel. But one year later, and it wasn't just puberty that he had to deal with. With raging hormones and his happy-go-lucky nature, Isaac was starting to irritate certain fist-ready bullies. The football team often demeaned the baseball team, and the two sets of very different boys competed for school popularity and trophy cups. As the cheekiest member of his team, Isaac's smart mouth started to get him into trouble. But when the knuckles of one pissed off jock connected with his gut one day, he felt the impact, but not the pain. The jock had been baffled by the pain that he'd felt, and after giving his fist a quick shake, had aimed for Isaac's nose instead. Though that attack done some damage on the boy leading to a visit to the nurses office (who was pretty hot so, what he did he care about a broken nose?), he was equally baffled about why the jock hadn't winded him initially. Instead, as he lifted his t-shirt, he found that his gut was covered in scales. Now
that cool, if not.. freaky.
Isaac went through a period of both hiding and testing his mutation. It was a lot easier to hide than his sister's, though he would wake up on some mornings with more than just a normal stiffy. Although the mutation was initially focused on his chest and back, as the weeks rolled by, it started to spread. Suddenly, while playing basketball, a team mate had noticed the dry skin on Isaac's arms which on closer inspection, was tough scales. That hadn't gone down to well either. Suddenly, it wasn't just the jocks who didn't want to hang around with him. Suddenly, the class weren't laughing so much at his jokes and suddenly, his locker was being vandalised. He was going through all the things his sister had gone through, and worse, when the school councillor paid a visit to his parents, they were beyond devastated. Both kids turned out to be mutants, what were the chances of that? His dad turned stricter and less caring while his mom turned to religion for guidance. All in all, it was enough to push the teen away.
After a depressing period of arguments and rows amongst his parents, Isaac originally refused to let the mutation interfere with his life. But it became more and more difficult to go to school, where hormonal kids are cruel and quick to judge. So he started to skip altogether; hang out at the arcades on most afternoons. When a group of school jocks cornered him there and beat him up pretty bad after he let his tongue flap too much, he figured enough was enough. More than anything, Isaac wanted to learn how to control his powers. Then one day, he could teach them all a lesson. So he started to hang out with the bad guys; a gang of independent mutants who hung out in the down-town metropolitan areas from different schools. It didn't help that he was 15 and highly influential. He got caught up in vandalism and by the cops on various occasions. Attempts to have him grounded and put into privately tutored education met with him sneaking out windows and failing to come home at night. He was getting a grip on his powers, and just loved winding people up enough to strike out. But when a fellow mutant got shot one fateful night, his safe world collapsed around him. Even mutants had weaknesses.
Returning home to a handful of letters from his sister, Isaac made his decision. He'd leave Charlottesville behind him, and join her at Xavier's school. Having caught up on his high school junior year and settled in fairly quickly, he now embarks on his senior year.

Powers:Major: Stone skin (including levels of pain resistance)Isaac's mutation is based on the ability to change the quality of his skin at will, namely, to develop a hardened, exoskeleton. In theory, he becomes rock-like on concentrated parts of his body, as the skin hardens to form a series of tough, leathery, pentagon shaped scale 'scutes' – like an armadillo, or crocodile skin. This forms a shield that can withstand physical attacks, knives, and
may be impenetrable by bullets (untested). Similar to his sister's mutation, but in a different way, the stone skin offers a degree of pain resistance. He feels the impact of any blows, but the actual pain is numbed. Only when the shield starts to bruise, does he begin to actually feel the discomfort. Those that try to physically attack his strengthened areas are more likely to feel pain; opponents knuckles have been known to bruise or crack upon impact.
Limitations: As this power is still very much out of control, the length of time it takes for Isaac to harden his skin is changeable. Sometimes it can be instant, while other times, he struggles. This also means that he can only concentrate on certain patches of his body, such as his arms, legs, or chest. The most he has ever been able to accomplish, was the entirety of both arms and shoulders. Usually he focus on covering his full frontal torso, and his face, as most attacks in fisticuffs fights seemed to be aimed there. Although the skin can take quite a beating, he will eventually start to bruise, leading to the skin reverting back to normal. When he loses control of the mutation, his normal, battered skin will be very tender and sensitive afterwards. Losing control of the mutation can also factor on various things; lack of concentration, or too much of a battering.
Minor: Toughened Bone StructureUnderneath the layers of skin, Isaac's bone structure is more permanently tougher. So although his skin
is the main feature of his mutation, the inner layers also support his shield.
Limitations: Slower regeneration factors mean that, although he can take a beating, it takes longer for internal bruising to heal. He is still very squishy between the sandwich of inner and outer shielding. Muscles are subject to bruising and aching, and he will eventually bleed. Should bones break, they in particular need longer time to re-set. Possibly this is due to their thicker density.
Minor: Resistance to ElectricityPretty much what it says on the tin. Hardened skin does not conduct electricity, so any mutations based on electrical energy would fail to have an effect on him.
Limitations: Only works with hardened skin, and the actual voltage amount is debatable.
