What is OFC?
« on: August 04, 2009, 04:46:42 AM »
Hi

This may sound stupid, but in some posts looking for RP it says as a pairing "Some Character/OFC"

I've never heard that term before, and google doesn't help either (tells me OFC means "of course", but that makes no sense in the context here).

So whats it?

Back then when I was writing FanFiction OFC meant Original Female Character. Not sure if that's the case, though.

Hmm, that could be possible, I think most times (or always?) when I saw it, it was in combination with a TV series or movie and one of the canon characters.

So it would mean one of the female characters of the show, then?

An original character would be a non-canon character, unless I'm mistaken.

You could always PM the person who wrote it and ask them ;)
