History: Born in Port Au Prince to a freed bondswoman in 1799, Xia drew their first breaths in a land rife with revolution as black men and women decried slavery to the heavens and fought to be free. That breath was filled with bloodshed and the screams of the injured, but they drew breath nonetheless, did they not? Their mother swaddled them and took them into the warzones with her, wherever she was needed as the rest of the British invaders slunk away, never to return, felled by yellow fever and dark-skinned men who would not, could not, bow.

This is how they came to be.

At age ten, they picked up a hammer and tongs for the very first time. The beating out of iron became the timpani drum they lived by, and they grew strong in the knowledge that they were BORN for this. How they knew WHAT they knew did not matter. Forging the blade became their lullaby, the ringing of steel became their poetry. However, they soon noted that other children had fathers, but they had none.

It did not matter.

Xia lived with their mother until her death when they were no more than 16 years old. At that point, they began to live as a man, telling no one of their origins and traveling far from the small house that had allowed them a modicum of safety as Saint Domingo died and Haiti rose to replace the island community. They knew hunger, fear, and war as they fought to unite their homeland just like any young "Man" would. It was the warring, killing those who looked like THEM, which drove their dislike of extreme masculinity and drove a wedge between themselves and others.

That solidified when they attended a ritual that required them to bleed. The blood that dripped from their palms was not just bright red but also an odd commingling of bronze and silver. Until then, they'd never really bled for any length of time, as they were always uncommonly quick in battle. Those involved in the rite were killed to preserve the secret after the crowd chose to attack the lone figure en masse. Halfway through the battle, a large dark-skinned masculine form joined the fray. Thirty people died that day...but when it was over? Xia and the man were gone.

They spent years traveling, and Xia learned of their heritage at his feet and from his fists. They fought in battles, crafted weaponry, and spent decades in various countries before their father's death at the tail end of WWII. At that point, Xia traveled to the US and made their way south, eventually coming to rest in New Orleans. They have been there ever since, changing names when needful and crafting weaponry for those in the Enclave who want something special.

• Creation: Can forge any sort of weaponry barring nuclear bombs and the like. They prefer bladed weapons, as a rule.
• Dog Whisperer: They can speak to (and understand) any kind of lupine/canine. This is especially useful in places where humans overrun the area and information is required.
• Supernatural Stamina: Their love of metalworking and fighting has allowed their stamina to build toward nigh inhuman levels.
  

Weaknesses:

• Electricity: Is damned difficult to deal with as their body is always rife with some sort of metal. This can (and does) cause immense pain if electricity is aimed in their direction.
• Bites The Dust: Xia can push themselves to the limit, but once the limit has been reached? They crash and burn. It can take days for them to recover at that point.
• Off the Chain: Once anger has been ignited, Xia can not calm down on their own. Others MUST step in and corral or control them until they can do it themselves or until they pass out from loss of stamina.
