Unlike a lot of interest checks I've made in the past, you may notice this one is pretty darn sparse! I've never properly GMed W20 before, but I've finally gotten the itch to try it out after playing a certain Werewolf game on Steam.  ;D

You'd need this book to play.

This is just me doing a bit of a litmus test (a real tentative one) to see if there'd even be enough interested people in a 20th anniversary edition of Werewolf to run a game at all. :)

If so, post here and tell me a little bit about what you want! Specifically, tell me the following:

Quote1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?

This would be a system game; you'd need a character sheet and be willing to roll dice! I'd probably want about...four players or so?

I'd just be allowing werewolves as main characters & probably wanting to deal with characters who only Changed very recently; I'm not comfortable enough with W20 to allow other changing breeds or more experienced Garou as PCs just yet. Anyways, post if interested! Be aware I'm a slowbutt, so don't post interest unless you are ok with a GM who can periodically be a slowbutt. :)

PixelatedPixie

I would be very much interested.

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Black Furies, Shadow Lords, Bone Gnawers, maybe Uktena.  Though I'd be fine with most any tribe other than maybe Red Talons.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
No huge preference.  A place with ecological devastation might be fun (Chernobyl area, Norilsk (IIRC) in Russia, Oil Sands in Canada, etc), I'd be a sucker for something Amazon or European as well though.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
I'd like to see Pentex stuff, or Black Spiral Dancer stuff.  But anything that fits the setting is fine really.  I tend to be less interested in internal pack/tribe dynamics than external threats.  So a game heavy on the politics might not be my preference.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
I am comfortable with most anything up through extreme and at any degree of inclusion.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
Not really.

Cold Heritage

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?

Get of Fenris and Silver Fangs.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)

It might be cool to do some of the areas PixelatedPixie mentioned although I'm not super up to date on the Russia situation viz a viz the metaplot, Baba Yaga, etc.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?

I like to rip and tear. So fighting Pentex is great. Whether it's their elite soldiers who are or are becoming Formori or the fake shapeshifters they've made . . . they're all fun to fight. Black Spiral Dancers are fun too.

Dealing with other Fera could be cool. Maybe if the PC pack could save some from Pentex or something and along the way get a lesson about how the War of Rage was yet another garou buggaloo would be neat.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

I prefer very little to no sexual content with werewolf because of the baggage associated with it. But as long as I do not have to personally engage with it I can tolerate a fair degree of sexual content.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?

Mages. I've never cared for that particular splat.
Thank you, fellow Elliquiyan, and have a wonderful day.

Muse

OMG! *Screams*

*Grins*  I'm very excited to see this, Bly.  I'd love a chance to play some Werewolf.

Hey there, Cold, how have you been?

Well met, Pixie.  I like your style.  :)

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
All of them?  :)  Okay, honestly, I'm not very impressed by the Red Talons either.  or the Shadow Lords.  I don't see the fascination with the Get of Fenris any more than I see the fascination with Ahroun.  In both cases, they're just sort of generic warriors.
Tribes that especially interest me:
--Children of Gaia
--Glass Walkers
--Silver Fangs

Other tribes I really like:
--Black Furies
--Fiana
--Stargazers

and also Haken, though they're best played with the Hengokai, where they belong.  :)

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
I basically concur with Pixie here.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
I 100% concur with Pixie here.  We're warriors of Gaia.  Let us teach corperations who polute from greed or laziness a better way and put Pentex mosnters in the grave.  Let us slay the fallen tribe--or better yet drag them to Erebus and plunge them into a lake of molten silver until they atone.  Let the Leaches scheme and backstab while Machiavelli's ghost rolls his eyes that they think he was serious.
And don't forget the Umbra.  We are, after all, a living bridge between mater and spirit!

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
Just about any.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
Making nice with the Leaches.

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
I really do enjoy pretty much all of the tribes.  Even the Red Talons could be interesting to play I think, but obviously I am in the minority there.  Still I love Bone Gnawers and Glasswalkers a great deal along with Black Furies so there is that.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
For a long time I was working on a campaign set in El Paso that hasn't moved much, but really I think any area with civil unrest is great.  I have always wanted to see a campaign in the Gulf Coast region such as New Orleans take place, but I would be interested in almost anywhere to be honest.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
I think Werewolf works best with a doomed theme layered on top.  Granted we are the heroes and should be fighting the epic fights, the last splinters of hope in a dying world and so I appreciate that theme.  Turning to rely on packmates and sept members against a world of enemies.  I think that would be the best theme.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
So long as we're not talking strange, tentacle monster rape I should be good.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
Can't think of much.

Muse

*smiles*  I have a bit of a chronicle idea based around El Paso.  I've never actually gotten to run it.  The actual Caern is in Guadalupe Mountains State Park closer to Carlsbad.

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing? Silverfangs and Get of Fenris

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
San Francisco, Seattle, Lviv-Ukraine, Rüdesheim-Germany

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game? I believe Werewolf the apocalypse works best with the rich pack dynamics.  The dynamics of tribe politics.  The war on the wyrm and its agencies as the tribes inter squabble.  The play on the breeds.  All of it adds a rich and diverse background to bring a fantastic world to life.  What I like to see is a multi-tribe caern.   Where we can grow,  gain rank and position in not only with in own pack,  tribe, but in the Sept.  Where a silver fang thinks they should be inherently chosen to be leaders,  the shadow lord connives to lead etc....

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with? It's a brutal world.  It has its own set of morality.   One being garou do not lay with garou.   Yet one of the three breeds is metis.   Which in most campaigns are not limited as say the lupus breed is limited in most.  Well those metis had to come from somewhere,  so would be comfortable with a plot where characters are charrache.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
The lone wolf...  hard to run a campaign in a setting that is built around pack and ultimately tribe dynamics within a sept.

E.S.G. has a great campaign image there!

I'm thinking a Get of Fenris  who is fosterling (breed) homid,   auspice Rotagar (Ragabash)  who will question each of the laws of the litney and her pack mates with such and others within the sept.   Whispering temptation in their ears.  Testing their conviction, the strength of their wills and honor.   While walking that thin line herself.

I see her more in the human world as someone that likes to hang with metal rock bangers,  militia groups and just a general laborer.  From working as a waitress,  bartender, maid at a motel.   Basically jobs that don't last...   As she likely is  taking on such jobs to infiltrate and area to scout for the pack.

"And you thought I be fucking long legged blonde and blue-eyed,  see what you get for thinking."

She will challenge each of the other auspices in her pack.

The forseti (Philodox) She will bring the needed counterpoint so he may judge with true insight.

The Godi  (Theurge) She will guide through the shadows so he may tend the sacred places.

The Modi (ahroun)  She without fear will tend to getting them into proper battle readiness.

For the Skald (Galliard) She will be their muse.

They will hate and love her,  she will be their rotagar.

I could go with a Bone Gnawed Galliard that is an underground punk rocker.

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Red Talons, wendigo, and Bone Gnawers are probably my favorites, with Uktena, and Children of Gaia coming in behind them. Really all of them are good, though I personally find the Fenrir and Glass Walkers to be pretty dull.

I also really like the Silver Fangs, but find they kind of need a specific setup to work properly, so kinda hit-or-miss.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
Werewolf deal in large settings; if you're meaning a "home base" for the pack, I guess anything goes; given my list of favorite tribes, probably unsurprising that I'd think Alaska / the Pacific Northwest might be a great place to work out of. That said, a wandering pack of anruth can always work out fine!

There's also something to be said of "nontraditional" settings; a sept of garou in South Africa, or the deserts of Jordan, or clinging to the fringe of the American airbase in Okinawa, who knows? "surprise me" basically lol.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
I've always liked the spiritual themes of Werewolf, both in the literal sense of exploring the Umbra and dealing with Spirits, and the philoosphical sense of maintaining one's own soul against the threats of taint.

Some themes I've rarely seen played up in Werewolf, but would like to see, are conflicts between the garou themselves; tribes, septs, and packs fight agaisnt each other plenty, cliath buck against the demands of elders, etc. Werewolf-style intrigue / politics is something you don't get to see a lot of, but I've laways wanted a nice taste of it.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

Low to moderate. Wooing a kinfolk, animal attracting a mark for another reason, or even sneaking off with a pack/septmate are fine, but I'd rather not have this stuff be the focus. I'll take a hard pass on "spirals gunna rape you!" and "We have to breed constantly it is our duty to hump for gaia!" angles.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?

In two words, "kumbuya bullshit." Y'know that thing where all the tribes are at a single caern in a national park living and working in harmony, and allied to the local fera, and they chuck Rites of Cleansing aroudn constantly and everyone's perfectly focused on fighting the Wyrm, but never in any way that might lose renown... it's gross. Maybe this only exists 'cause I've mostly played Werewolf online in chat games that try to accomodate everything, but boy I'd like ot avoid it, lol

Blythe

Pleased to see so much interest!

In the next day-ish (maybe two or three depending on my schedule in RL), I'll work up a brief synopsis of what I think would be good to run based on the feedback I've gotten, and then I'll post it up to see what prospective interested parties think. :)

That be cool, give a tie for at least two pack mates beyond the sept.  As my rotagar (ragabash) is into heavy metal, grunge and punk.

I wish I could find my notes for the El Paso game I wanted to run.

Interested potentially if my likes here match up with the group!

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Glasswalkers, Silverfangs, Furies, Shadow Lords, Fianna.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
Russia, Eastern Europe, US South.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
Us against corruption, inner tribal conflict, us vs other supes

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
Most, frankly. I can tolerate a lot of content but have some things I prefer. Would need to be some aspect of kink to the story to keep me interested, likely.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
A game where we are all in Lupus most of the time
Occasionally I drop a teacup to the floor just to see it shatter; I'm disappointed when it doesn't pick itself up and come back together. Someday, perhaps.

Silim

I'm into anything WoD, sooo...

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Silver Fangs or Get of Fenris would be fun, but I'm happy playing anything that's not a Red Talon. They're a bit too murder-hobo for me.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
Fine with anything, but something set in Europe could be fun! Assuming nobody wants to play one of the native american tribes, though, I suppose.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
Fighting the good fight despite the war being lost and the world already dying, and to keep fighting because its the right thing to do, no matter how much pain you could spare yourself by stopping and giving in. I'm quite fine with this manifesting via having to deal with tribe politics as well as outright acts of war and destroying Pentex subsidiaries.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

Wolf on wolf action ain't exactly my cup of tea, but other than that, nothing really I'm opposed to outright I can think of.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
I should really actually get to making my O/O thread considering the old easy way in the profile has been gone for ages, for now though I think everything's been said with my answer to 4.

marauder13

Upon seeing this, I feel that I must throw my name into this as well, in the hopes that I will be accepted as well as able to take part.

In response to the initial questions, here are my answers.

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?

Bone Gnawers, Glass Walkers, Children of Gaia.

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)

I'm down for anywhere. However, if you want a fun place where the Spirits are rather angry at the Garou, play in Australia.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?

Hmmm... good question. For me, it is the struggle to try and halt the overall corruption of Gaia. I am good to play other themes & ideas. [Edit] Having read through things a bit more, some good ol' politics/rivalries. Tribal biases, pack vs pack displays for dominance, Internal Sept politics/jockeying for positions. Hell, even some Auspice snobbery would be fun to have as well.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

Any permitted sexual conduct that can take place on E. For my character & myself, there may be some things I would not have my character take part in, but I would not stop anyone else from enjoying what they do.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?

Nothing.

I will come back and look through people's responses in greater detail when I have the time, and put forth some ideas for characters I would like to play.

Is rather excited that Blythe is running another game that I may get involved with.

[Edit] Some additional stuff. I have a couple of general ideas for characters, some of which can link in with some ideas that have been floated about. Bone Gnawer Ahroun who is a Roadie/Bouncer for Pumpkin Seeds Rocker. Glass Walker Theurge who is an event manager/planner/etc - using his spiritual connections to make sure the venue has the right feel & vibe. Child of Gaia Philodox who is a Family Law attorney (both homid and garou law). Also, I am willing to play a lupus who is trying to learn more about his homid side.

Hades

*Sees a Blythe post in the games section, practically breaks the mouse by clicking so fast*

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Black Fury and Children of Gaia generally, Silver Fangs and Wendigo depending on the location

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)[/b]
I've enjoyed settings scattered across the globe and can tailor a character for pretty much anywhere.  Though the US tends to get alot of attention, so stories set outside of here is a nice change of pace.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
Werewolf to me has always been a story about fighting a battle that you already know is lost, but continuing to uphold your duty as best you can because that is what you were chosen for by Gaia and the spirits.  Can the Wyrm ever be "healed" and balance restored to the world?  Probably not.  But the world's suffering can be lessened with each enemy brought low and each pocket of the Wyld defended.  The losses are great, but the victories are more cherished because their scale is much smaller and intimate.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
Bring on the metis babehs!  *cough* I mean, what happens when the sept elders aren't looking isn't for me to say at all.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
Nadda

Datawych

Gasps, then faints

Am I too late?

Quote1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Fianna, Silent Striders, Shadow Lords, Silver Fangs, Uktena. Nothing against Bone Gnawers or Children of Gaia, either, but I'd need a more-developed concept.

Quote2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)

American Southwest, Pacific Northwest, Black Forest in Germany, the Carpathian mountains

Quote3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?

Interacting with other Changing Breeds in a way that doesn't lead to a messy, Mixed-Species game. Sept/Caern management/defense/growth (creation??). The connection between the Umbra and the physical world, particularly the relationships different auspices/tribes/breeds have with different types of spirits.

EDIT: And I think there's certainly something to be said for that kind of 'Captain America'-style heroism. That 'I can't see a way to win this, but I'm going to keep fighting anyway' sort of heroism.

Quote4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?

I feel like there needs to be at least a little, though it could take place entirely offscreen. Particularly if there are Metis in the pack, with their relationship to the Defiler Wyrm. You're playing as members of a species that is literally on the verge of extinction. It makes sense that Garou that don't seem to care would be treated like Giant Pandas who refuse to mate by their peers.

Quote5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?

Not much into Mages, and Kindred shouldn't be the primary villains.

I'm pretty adaptable as far as auspices go, but I struggle most with Philodox, probably. I have a concept for a Metis Silent Strider Galliard that I never got to use, but I'm up for almost anything.

Also, regardless of if you're new to WtA, a veteran, a PC, a Storyteller... This playlist is so amazingly helpful.

Lux12

1) What tribes are you most interested in playing?
Children of Gaia, Fianna, Silent Striders, Uktena, Get of Fenris, Shadow Lords

2) What cities or locales do you think would make a good setting for the game? (Note: You don't have to pick USA cities/locales!)
Seattle, possibly, perhaps somewhere in northeast Ohio (as someone originally from there, even though you have a bunch of small towns and cities that bleed into each other in between several very large urban zones, there's more woodland than most people realize.), possibly somewhere in Maine, somewhere in Ireland, or perhaps Mongolia...Ooooh Mongolia would be fun especially considering some of the local mythology surrounding the wolf.

3) What themes would you find exciting to see in a W20 game?
Some occult detective work would be nice and fighting the power so to speak. When all other options have been exhausted, crush the system. Whether or not the world is a glass half empty or half full, there's still something in it and that's enough reason to keep fighting. Perhaps a notion that the change you seek doesn't always come in the form you expect. I also think trying to fight the prejudices that exist within the tribes would be good.

4) What level of sexual content would you be comfortable with?
Honestly I don't really care. People can be as smutty as they so desire so long as it doesn't completely derail anything.

5) Is there anything you do NOT want to see in a W20 game not already listed in your Offs in your O/O thread?
Well constant rip and tear where it's just a nonstop blood fest with no real story ought to be avoided. Also rape...I'd really just rather avoid that stuff in general. I may not have been victimized, but it's something that for me is best avoided, especially if it's not being done to make some meaningful critique of rape culture or how it effects the victims. I just have this phobia of it.

Blythe

Alright, the delay in this went on a while, and I apologize about that! I don't have the game premise written fully up just yet, but I do have enough of a blurb to let people start on sheets!

The Call!

"A call to arms, a sacred task meant to stem the tides of the Wyrm, even if it looks hopeless. Chernobyl. It is a word fraught with so many emotional meanings for the Garou, for this is an area of near-total Wyrm domination. A scar on the face of a planet once blossoming with the Wyld...or perhaps more like a festering wound.

A new pack of Garou has heard the call issued by the desperate Elders who yet remain to patrol the Exclusion Zone. Come to Chernobyl. Strike down the Banes of the Red Forest. Come stalk the ruins of the ghost city of Pripyat and seek out the Black Spiral Dancers who haunt the concrete jungle. Every victory brings renown, and defeat is always expected--new packs may yet be able to forge their name in the terrifying smithy of the Wyrm's strongholds where other places in the world denied them a right to rise."

Character creation guidelines:
* I'll accept any Tribe, but please know if you play a Red Talon, let's keep the focus away from 'RAWR WOLF PURITY' and instead have your Talon be someone who understands how desperate the Chernobyl situation is and can actively avoid fighting about their beliefs in favor of fighting this agreed-upon greater evil.

* Don't create a character with the intent to make them leader of the pack. To avoid power-imbalances among players, an Elder who patrols Chernobyl, who issues the call to these young Garou, will take them under his wing to form a pack!

* You may have a bonus 20 EXP at character creation; you may need it to survive! Make sure to tell me how you spend freebies/bonus EXP on your sheet so I can check it accurately!

* Any gender/sexual orientation is welcome. The Elders of the Zone don't have time to care about who your character is gender-wise or who they want to bang. They also have a somewhat complicated but sometimes more positive outlook on metis Garou than normal, so these will be very different members of the Nation to interact with.

* Beyond all this, create characters as per the 20th anniversary core rulebook. You may post character sheets in this thread. Please note I do not accept off-site sheets, so I will not accept a Google Doc or things like that. Sheets must be posted here properly on site. (I'm not picky on formatting for these; just so long as all your information is there, I'm good)

* No anime face claims, if you opt to use character images. I never really feel that anime is a good match for the aesthetic of WtA. It's also fine not to use a character image; I'm fine if you don't prefer that. If you don't use an image, make sure to write down what your character looks like for me!

* I don't require heavy character backstory! Couple of paragraphs is fine; you can flesh this out more in-play.

Geeklet

Oooh, Is this still open to new people? I looooove werewolf.

Blythe

I haven't selected final players--I never do until I see submitted finished sheets. So anyone can express interest & whip up a sheet at the moment. ^^

I'm likely to take on about four people, which I think feels about the right size for a pack.
