After having been away from E for a while I decided to turn on my - Receive Forum Newsletters and important notifications by e-mail -
I wish I hadn't, because now I am not receiving any e-mail at all. :'(
Not when I get a PM, or when there's a reply to one of my subscribed topics.
I tried to 'undo' what I did and ran a couple of tests by having someone PM me, but it isn't working.
I would love some help with this. :-)

Have you said that you want to receive information about new posts etc.? That could be the problem, it's only waiting for 'official' stuff to send to you.

Current status : Selectively seeking new stories

My settings are:

Receive forum newsletters, announcements and important notifications by email.
Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic.
When sending notification of a reply to a topic, send the post in the email (but please don't reply to these emails.)

For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me: Instantly
For topics and boards I've requested notification on, notify me of: Only Replies

Below those settings are a bunch of topics I should get an e-mail about when there has been a reply posted, but that, together with no e-mail about a PM, did not happen.
I have saved the settings, I have unticked the first box and changed them back to how they were, I have done it all.

Edit
My PM settings (which I did not touch or alter in any way) are as follows:

Notify by email every time you receive a personal message: Always

You will have to take it up with them and tell them you want mail from us.

Alright, I directly logged into the mail account with my host and put the e-mail "webmaster@elliquiy.com" on the 'alway trust' list, as that was not in place.
That should stop them from bouncing, right?

Edit:

Also contacted the service/abuse desk of my provider.
Still waiting on an answer from them.

Alright, I got news back from my provider and they have adjusted the spamfilter and told me that mail should be able to go through without being bounced.

Ugh, thank you. I'm not sure what's wrong yet but I see it. -_-

New version pangs.

Apparently we've been hovering at the rate limit I set *seven years ago* and this was just enough to push it over the edge.

Well then.

Beguile's Mistress

I think the notifications are acting up again.  PM notifications are delayed as well.

Vekseid

Yeah I'm fighting with DKIM (insert longass rant here).

A 'feature' got added that, even though I never use it, breaks hard, and the software goes along with it.

So I'm hunting for an alternative. Messages are going through unsigned now, but they may go to spam.

Beguile's Mistress

Wasn't sure what is happening but I was waiting for a PM around 4:00 and it showed in the Inbox but not notifications.  We've been chatting back and forth and 2-3 notifications came through together in one email.

Sorry for being pushy.

Vekseid

It's fine, better to get a few extra messages when I know than to not get any messages when I don't. : )

Vekseid

Going to be trying something a bit risky again. Please let me know if you get delayed mail again.

Beguile's Mistress

It looks like notifications might be acting up again.  The last one I received came in around 9:30 this morning.

Gadifriald

I'm not receiving PM notification e-mails today, so looks like you're right, BeMi!

Apparently my mailserver did a hard reset this morning and Postfix failed. *sets up new watchdog*

Thank you for letting me know everyone.
