Uhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... now that I thin back I'm actually wrong. Muzan IS NOT the only one who can create Demons at all. In fact, one of the Lower Moons(his elite demon Lords) is responsible for creating himself an entire Demon family complete with mother, father, brothers and sisters, all of them created just because he didn't wish to be alone. It's one of the earlier and best arcs of the show.

Here's where we're a little off. Muzan is NOT the only one who can create Demons, although he IS the only Demon who can KILL any other Demon that he wishes to WITHOUT the need for a Demon Slayer's blade or by the use of sunlight. Because he is siring literally every living Demon in the world as the original he can CHOOSE to take them out as well, but the Demons that he creates are capable of spreading their disease further, yes.

That can still be a plot point for Mariko. If there is a demon of the strength of a Lower Moon, then it means that the problem has grown to a very sizable point whilst no one noticed.

I am finishing up my sheet and I'll be posting it shortly.

Yes! We would still be willing to accept new character if you'd like. Please just take the time to read through some of the early postings to fully understand the scope of the story line we would be exploring, please.

The gist...

1. 20 years past the events that conclude the manga Muzan's twin children, the only Demons left in the world, begin making a Demon army of their own

2. All of the Pillars/Hashira are gone and a new generation of the world's strongest Demon Slayers are being called to gather and do something about the threat

3. The story line will play out as episodic events and encounters with Demons leading up to a final confrontation with Muzan's children

4. Also, and perhaps most importantly, please realize and remind yourself and other writers within the story that we CAN have multiple stories taking place WITHIN the same episode if some of us should choose to write together in a separate location or end up having some form of separate encounter. With that being said, please understand that we are not going by a turn based system. If you are tagged, reply, if you don't reply, there should be no complaints about other writers moving along with the story whether or not you had expected to be waited on. That's not how this works. When you're ready to post, then post. If you don't have time, catch up later. Everyone else can assume your character is tagging along until such a time as you reply and catch your character up to the current encounters/exchanges.

Obviously no god boding or abuse of other characters actions, verbal exchange and things of the like. Just play nice, is basically all, and we should all understand that with ease. Create a reasonably vulnerable character, despite how powerful they will end up being the more they learn and grow as the story develops. Can't be perfect, they need strengths and faults. And please use the character sheet provided to show us the character that you come up with.

Right, and I figured we'd piece together a nice little group of supporting antagonists(some lower and upper moons) while we're getting our story started and on it's way. That could be a lot of fun.

But yea, do what you see fit and if you have any concerns about anything just run them by me.

@Ryu Wojin

If demons all die once their creator dies I could rewrite it so Mariko only injured the demon and caused it to retreat, so that way YC can still become a demon that way. Perhaps tracking said demon down is another reason why they start traveling together.

Name: Yonemura Ayaka

Alias/Nickname: Aya

Age: 22

Birthday: 27th of March

Gender: Female

Orientation: Bi

Family/Bloodline: Not Applicable. Infact, it is a point of contention. Aya cannot return to her family. She'd like to, but she can't explain what she has become, she can't explain the horrors of demons that exist, and she thinks they'd be better off thinking Aya is dead and gone, rather than knowing the truth.

Rank: Assoicate / Honourable Member. (Not officially apart of the corps, but bound to it none-the-less)

Combat style: Aya uses unarmed combat and martial arts. She is untrained in swordsmanship. Perhaps if someone took an interest in training her?

Blade color: Aya's broken-half blade doesn't return a color. In the future, perhaps it might. If she achieved a good enough skill with swordsmanship, it would be an Indigo-Gray.

Biography: Ayaka's life was never easy. Being in the countryside and growing up a farmgirl. She was never adverse to getting her hands dirty or putting down a horse or any other kind of dirty or unsettling work. Her upbringing has made her a realist in terms of her mentality. Although, One event defined her further. Bandits attacked their farm. Ayaka was seized and put to the mercy of the bandits, who clearly were going to do wrong by her. Her father had to save her with a group of militia men. Ayaka never wanted to feel as worthless and defenseless as she had before. So she started taking martial arts classes in a nearby town's dojo. To protect herself and others as her father had done for her. She got very good. She knows how to disarm and have to move properly. She knows where to strike, and how to strike. When bandits attacked again, they ended up running away with broken hands.

When Ayaka became of age, she decided to start traveling. See more of the country and the city before she decided to marry and settle down. However, this ended poorly for her. On her travels, she was attacked by a demon. Ayaka put up a decent fight, and managed to injure it greatly before escaping. This infruriated the demon, who sought to commit the ultimate insult to Ayaka. To turn her into a demon. Ayaka found a church in her injured state. Mariko took her in, and started to tend to her wounds. But the demon followed Ayaka and attacked the church. Thankfully, Mariko was trained to slay the demon. And she did so. But in the chaos of the fight, the demon had hoped to sow further chaos by infecting Ayaka.

In her crazed state, she almost did what the demon wanted. Attacking innocents. Though when the moment came, and she was ready to swipe and kill. Her breath was caught in her throat. She was acting no better than the bandits that traumatized her so. She was acting against everything her teacher had taught her. She had enough of a moment of sanity to instead direct her rage and insanity toward inanimate objects or various things. Even realizing at one point, that the innocents were trapped in the church. So she broke a wall down for them.

The demon did not receive any assistance from Ayaka. And thus, Mariko was able to dispatch it. But then the blade came for Aya immediately. At this point, a new kind of feral ness was provoked. The kind that was summoned when she tried to fight the bandits before being trained. Aya fought like an animal struggling to live. It helped Aya that Mariko was uncertain about even killing her. The indecisiveness ended up in Aya's favor. Her demonic arm seized Mariko's sword arm, guiding her to slam the sword into the tiled floor. And with her increased strength, sent the both of them to the side. The sword snapped and left Mariko with a hilt and a small length of her blade left. Ayaka thought the encounter was over. Created distance. Tried to focus on collecting herself and trying to settle down. But a demon slayer doesn't need the full length of their blade to off a demon. Mariko was back at Ayaka. But Ayaka was able to gather herself. She didn't fight back. She just stared to Mariko's eyes. Ayaka felt confused, and lost. Insanity creeping on her, as their injuries and bloodied states was not helping her new desire. But Ayaka didn't act on those urges. She cried instead. Whatever just happened to her. What she was going to tell her family. Or even not be able to tell her family. How she's probably doomed, and probably going to lose herself in these demonic desires. She was going to die at this woman's hand. And it was probably for the best.... But Mariko didn't deliever that blow. Instead a hand was offered. As Ayaka took that hand, she even felt a blessing upon her.

The spirit/goddess of that church had noticed Ayaka's efforts. And given pity to her predictament. The blessing is a shielding of the sun. To allow Ayaka to retain her humanity in the light and comfort of humanity, as she had shown even in the midst of insanity.

But Ayaka was brought before the new demon slayer corps. Her actions were described by Mariko, and even the blessing that Ayaka received was discussed. But she was put into house arrest, until more prominent members could be summoned to discuss and explain current events. And also to decide what to do with her.

Physical Attributes

Style of dress: Aya wears a short skirt and a red top. She prefers clothing that lets the air cool her body down, but while maintaining an air of modesty. Since she's turned, she now wears her torn black cloak.

Notable features: Ayaka's arm has mutated. Her left arm is now a demonic one. It is crimson red in color, and has vicious claws. She will take to hiding them in bandages.

Physical condition [Human]: She as in a very fit condition before she turned. She was a practiced martial artist and even kept her trainings on the side. So while she wasn't as fit as a samurai or even a master martial artist, she was stronger, and more agile, and had more endurance than most regular people.
Physical condition [Demon]: And now that's enhanced. Most run-of-the-mill demons would be beneath her strength. She is able to perform inhuman feats of strength or impressive leaps and jumps. Though she'd find herself outclassed by any demon whose mutations or focus was in strength.

Height: 5'7

Weight: 140lb

Eye color: Yellow

Hair color: Black

Personality Attributes

Likes/Joys: Cooking, Sewing. Martial Arts. Adventuring (witnessing new landmarks). Animals. And proving herself capable/being appreciated.

Dislikes/Fears: Feeling Helplessness, Witnessing Cruelty, Demons [She hates the concepts of demons and she hates what she has become], Loneliness/abandonment, people with superiority complexes.

Strengths:
Demonic Powers - Not known ATM. Ayaka is still a recently turned demon. Her demonic powers haven't awakened yet. And they may take awhile to do so, since she won't eat flesh. But it is certainly going to be a strength later down the line.
Demonic Physiology - Ayaka was fit and capable of defending herself before being turned. Now? She's very strong and agile. Capable of performing maneuvers and taking punishment in the same way a demon slayer can with their breathing techniques. Her martial arts and fighting style does help with being able to beat demons into submission. Although she can't kill demons in this manner, it does render them incapacitated for other demon slayers or herself to finish with a blade.
Traditionalist mindset - Ayaka is familiar and good at traditional ways of living. Sewing or cooking. Or managing a small country side house. This gives her a straight forward way of thinking. She doesn't bog herself down with drama or political nonsense. She isn't as smart as Tanjiro. But her mindset would similar.
Feralness - When pushed into a corner, Aya can summon her very base animalistic and feral survival instincts. She can fight with renewed vigor and a completely unpredictable fighting style.

Weaknesses:
Demonic Urges - Ayaka still has to resist her urges. Open wounds on her allies will catch her attention. A gory sight will excite her. If an ally is injured and being operated on, she can't even help due to how demanding her urges are. Ayaka constantly has to remind herself of how heartless the bandits were to her when she was a girl. And she has to remind herself of the compassion that Mariko and even a spirit/goddess has shown her. All just to settle herself down and focus properly.
Untrained - While she is trained in unarmed martial arts... It pales in comparison to what demon slayers have to endure. She is no where near trained with a blade that will mean anything useful. Infact, the blade she carries can really only be used when she's incapacitated an enemy and can take her time to use the blade to finish them off.
Feralness - It's a strength and a weakness! When she's pushed into a corner, she ceases rational thought. She may still perceive ally and friend, but she'll certainly act in a more reckless and endangering way.
Technology - Aya grew up on the country side. Even the town she visited was mostly rural. She's never been to a city or seen a train or more technological advancements of this era.

Gear: Bag of various supplies, clothing, and bandages to hide her arm. Vials of Blood.

Training details: Master Jiro is martial artist master in the town near her home. He may or may not know of demons and certainly doesn't know of Ayaka's turning. But he was the one who trained Ayaka in unarmed combat.

Still running a blank on demon powers, honestly. But I think that could be a growth point later down the line. Even Nezuko took awhile to get her demon powers. But there is the sheet for you.

She's got a big, scary demon hand. Maybe something like some sort of Demon's Skin ability, or maybe something like Spirit Link, which let's say allows her to tap into other demons and temporarily leech their abilities. Big, strong demons become weaker and more fragile when she drains them of their power temporarily. Fast or cunning Demons become sedated or docile. Maybe ones that can fly or that can phase between the mortal realm and the void lose their abilities to her, fall straight out of the sky, or are bound to the mortal world and can no longer phase.

I offer an idea like that because if we had someone who could steal or nullify abilities it could help out the Demon Slayers a bit as they deal with more vulnerable enemies, but maybe she can only do it to JUST one, so if they're dealing with more than one villain there's still a big threat.

That does make it very interesting for RP and fits her kind of feral combat style. Each moment of a fight is not like another. She acts differently depending on the situations and thus fights differently. It certainly makes it different to fight each fight now sapping some power that she's not familiar with.

Though now we really are mimicking Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria :p.

I would totally agree if I knew AT ALL what the fuck that was. XD

:). I think we're good. I agree with your idea, but if you ever play Tales of Berseria, just know that Ayaka will have ALOT more chill than Velvet. I'm not going with Velvet's personality.

Didn't one of the Upper Moons turn someone into a demon? So yeah I think it is more than just Muzan that could do it...

I'm gonna go with the idea that Mariko didn't actually slay the demon they fought, only that she managed to injure it enough for it to retreat. Otherwise I don't think Aya would even be alive if the demon who made her is already dead (as far as I can tell, I haven't actually watched all of the show so I'm just going off of what you guys have been saying). And since Notorious mentioned wanting more minor villains I figured that would work.

For said demon, I was thinking she would resemble an Angel, for a bit of added irony that she was attacking the church and all.

Edit: Also since it's Mariko's broken sword Aya's using wouldn't it's color still be gold? Do the swords change color again just because someone else is holding them?

Slight alterations to make it work are alright by me. Driving the demon off, and then Mariko focusing her attention to Ayaka would make sense in the backstory. Otherwise, I hope you approve of that backstory with the church, Pdragon.

Yeah otherwise it looks good. The only small detail is that Mariko's church worships God (like Christian God, or whatever the equivalent would be for Demon Slayer's universe) not a spirit or goddess. And since I'm not sure if God actually exists in Demon Slayer's setting or not perhaps her immunity to the sun is actually one of her unique demon powers, or a mutation that sets her apart from other normal demons, but Mariko and Aya interpret it as a blessing from God.

I'm not sure your character's age and bio actually line up with the timeline of the game. It takes place 20 years after the Demon Slayer corps has disbanded, and is only just now starting back up. Unless I'm reading it wrong YC joined when he was 15, but if he had joined back before it disbanded that would make him 35 now, not 24. Alternatively if you're saying he's just joining now that also wouldn't work because the corps hasn't even been around long enough for YC's brother to train, pass the test, die, YC to learn about it and be inspired to join, train himself, and then pass the test himself. I don't think the corps has been reestablished for a full month yet.
