Hehe oh of course ;3
She's going to carry a gourd of plum wine on her back at all times, her family famous for their technique so she'll be quite the talker and sharer ;3

Oh, she's already shaping up to be quite unique. Maybe she can get my stone jawed, ice cold boy to lighten up a bit over drinks. X D

He's gonna be the strong willed type, and he's gonna try to challenge you, but he will almost certainly be bested by a seasoned alcoholic, lol!

Just look at him... he's too focused and sharp to look like the type to dabble in drink that often. X D

snicker All the more fun to watch him tank really ;3

"Oh come on, I'm giving you training wheel sips here~"

plots evilly to get everyone drunk at some point

Also tinkering with a second if it's permitted as well, cause you know..glutton for punishment it seems.

Something pretty

Notorious

You're gonna drink him under the table while antagonizing him and making him feel like a pansy and he's never gonna forgive you for it. X D

A second, as in a second character? Yea, sure. There's no reason that would be a problem. Just don't want to have like 10 of the buggers or something, that would be too much management for one writer I feel like.

Never said she wouldn't be nice about it lol, just enough teasing to soften the blow ;3

Mhm totally, I just like having a balance and if we need it I wouldn't mind is all.

Pft, he wouldn't acknowledge the difference. He's cold and harsh, remember? You tease and he's walking out the door to go find some demons to take his frustrations out on.

Dawww, you're far too kind! ^_^

Giggle Awww she'll melt him enough just you wait, though he might still have to find some demons to take his frustrations out on ;3

Lol I just love this anime/manga so much so I can't really help it.
Plus I have an rather unorthodox idea in mind for the second image..which might shake things up lol.

My first idea for a character would also be a veteran. She was still a fairly young and fresh slayer when the Demon King was slain, so with the big evil threat she had relentlessly trained for suddenly up and vanishing, and her job becoming pointless, she was understandably lost as to what to do with her life. In the end she turned to religion for purpose and joined a church to become a holy woman, where she's remained ever since. Despite her vows to her new faith, she's actually fairly easy to convince back into the fold, as she never got to realize her potential as a demon slayer the first time around, and swore to take her sword back up if the demons ever returned.

Waiiiiiiiiiit a minute... somehow I get the feeling we're not talking about her teasing him anymore... well... at least not the innocent kind of teasing... >_>

Sounds cool to me. Can't wait to see what you come up with. : D

Verrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy interesting character. I like the "Holy Lady" style she's got going on there. It's a good layer of character for us to explore. Bravo!

QUICK QUESTION!: For all of those who are still following the planning thread here and still interested in constructing a character with which to jump in, I'd like to figure out something before we begin. The reason I'd like everyone to put in their two cents is because we've got a few different was that we can host this story line and/or world that I'd like to build together with you all, so bear with me...

Typically when you start something like this it's with the expectation that there's going to be a separate section of the forums dedicated to our game which will display accepted characters, rule sets, the timeline information and all that good stuff, WHICH we can do if you all would like to. To be honest, having our on section for the collaboration of all of the writing and our character/story specific information DOES sound nice, but it's also very time consuming to flesh out at first and then would require pruning of topics and regular upkeep. We DO have another option, though, and since we've only got a handful of interested writers at the moment, I think option two might be our better bet.

For our second option I had actually been toying with the idea of using this particular thread as a character list for all of our character sheets AND an episode guide to our story, meaning that each EPISODE we complete or are currently working on, would be listed here on the original post. IF we go this route it would actively involve all of our writers and their characters in one thread, otherwise referred to as "Episode 1" or "Episode 2", and so on. The reason I like this idea is because it would keep everyone actively engaged instead of having to ask around to get someone to come and join you at the Demon Slayer Corps mansion for training or on a given mission or something like that. We could literally move around as a group(freaking Misty, Ash and Brock FUCKIN shit up) style, OR within the same Episode we could have two, three or four different events or encounters going on at the same time with different groups that would reconvene at times or sometimes even switch things up, joining other groups/teams as they go on missions and take it to the new breed of demons in the world.

Both of these options are doable, mind you, but I would likely need a bit of help with the former and it would take a lot longer to set up. With the latter we would have an episode guide, I would provide a character sheet for you all to fill out and reuse per post and we would simply make note in our character information WHERE our characters are/with what group and what they are doing at the time of the post. Short and sweet little character headers for each post would give us a good image of your character, there whereabouts, their training/slayer art styles and other such information that readers following along would appreciate knowing.

It's up to you all, like I said, but it's up for debate, so please throw in your two cents and let me know what you all think about it! Thanks!

AWESOME BUDDY... It is that lady from Sekiro Shadows Die Twice. :D

Here was I thinking for my boy...

I think as a GM, you need to have players conform to the same theme. Otherwise, it will not work. If majority of your player base are creating Demon Slayers coming out of retirement, then that needs to be the starting theme. So for me to create some newb. My concept wouldn't work with the dominant concepts. It could work as a NPC, but not as a main character.

I get the concern here, but I view it like this. If that were true then stories like Harry Potter, in a world where students of different years are able to mesh and still have a successful story line be told, and others like My Hero Academia, where students and pro heroes can function in the same story along side one another as well, wouldn't work either. I don't see the merit in being concerned that a new Demon Slayer and a veteran Slayer can't get along when in all likelihood the new recruit would be traveling with a mentor for the duration of the story as they both grow as characters. To me that's a convenience to both characters rather than a detriment.

RP cannot be compared to novels written by one writer. But if you plan to run it like an "academy" in the examples you chose. Or if you plan for it to be knight-squire relationship as with the veteran and novice in your example, then that means you are assigning the novice to a veteran? Because if a veteran does not want a novice, and the novice must go by him or herself out to do a mission and there is only one novice in the game, then you fall into the trap you are trying to avoid.

Personally I'd act as a Veteran who takes no a novice in this story without issue at all, but that being said it loos like three or four of our characters are shaping up to be Veterans anyway, so we wouldn't have many novice Slayers to begin with if we keep the group small. All in all, I understand your concerns, but my concern is that everyone has fun. I'm not worried about the smaller details when we can hash things out as we go. Stories are more fun when you let things develop in a natural way rather than everything having to be decided or structured the whole way through. I don't see the fun in making sure that every little thing is decided before the story begins because when things crop up naturally it provides for a more exciting story anyway.

Mind you, I'm not trying to build a massive story form here and have a bunch of different slayer academies, have people joining in all the time and have our numbers climb up to like 20-30 unique characters functioning within the scope of the story at any one time like(much like what goes on with our Harry Potter groups). All I want is 4-6 writers who want to take a journey together and help each other as we explore an episodical story line while our characters develop. That's it. This should be more simple, to be honest.

Your lone Slayers are welcome to continue being just that, but I myself would be happy to mentor during the scope of the story for the sake of anyone who wants to start out with a young and learning novice Slayer. Anyone else who wants to help certainly can, but they aren't required to.

TheBlackThrone

All right. I am withdrawing my interest. Good luck with your game.

UPDATE!: Got the character sheet done and started the episode guide for our little story here. I'll be editing in the link for the first episode ONCE we get our story started, but first we're going to want to have another check in of interest to make sure that the five who expressed interest are still down to do this and ready to go. IF so I can get something started for us as early as tonight or tomorrow morning, so be ready to go! : ]

That all being said, please feel free to work on and post your character sheets if you'd like to. I'd say just post them here, but if you'd like to set up a separate section for character information then let me know and we can get that done too. So! Check in, please!

Still interested, and I think with as small of a group it wouldn’t hurt to have the sheets posted here.
