Ooooh.... I don't do group games much anymore, but this one certainly caught my interest. Are you still accepting potential members?

Sure, but I would direct you to my earlier comments about the fluidity of the timeline. You can write a post wherever in time you like and you need to understand that if you're not around we won't be waiting on you. Everyone is expected to write with one another in mind, but obviously do not god mode. Keep your characters REASONABLE with their strengths and they must have weaknesses. And if you post, don't expect for someone to wait for your turn to come back around. If you are indisposed or on a trip or otherwise, we will continue, so try and keep up, and if you can't then take the time to catch up later.

It is going to be an episodic story line happening part for part so please try and keep up with our pacing as best you can, but again we have no limit on when people can and should post. If you are directly addressed or impacted by another writer during the story you are welcome to go ahead and reply despite what other characters are doing in the story and we CAN have multiple groups functioning within the story line parallel to everyone else.

Alright, well it looks like we've got a good handful of characters here and should be able to go ahead and start. Anyone else who would like to join can, but must check in here first and make sure that it's okay. Obviously new characters pop up all the time during part by part stories, so it wouldn't and shouldn't seem odd to meet newcomers as the story develops.

Biography: Coming from the Tagaki clan who are well known for their infamous plum wine, Umeko is the oldest daughter and rightful heir to the wine empire that is so beloved by the commoners of Tokyo. Her father worked tirelessly to build his recipe from the ground up since becoming disabled during his time within the war, using his newfound time to perfect an wine that was not only luxurious but plentiful to those who did not have much yen to spare, as the years since have been good to himself and his growing family. Wanting to bestow the same practice to his children Matsuma taught his children the hard work that went into creating a perfect wine, growing up difficult as so much expectation was placed upon them, more so Umeko who would carry on the name of their family when it came time.

Yet travesty would befall the family in a manner none ever expected, as around Umeko's 18th birthday she would come face to face with the true terror that was once forgotten demons, the mangled corpse of her brother late within the evening bringing her world to crash down around her. It was written off as an animal attack due to the distiller's close proximity to the darkened woods of their home, a fact that outraged the young Umeko as she had witnessed with her own eyes the inky blackness of true evil left upon her brother's body, her profess of demons laughed off as an impossibility; it just simply couldn't be.

This became a turning point for Umeko as her cries of demon fell upon deaf ears, her focus muddled and yet the only person to truly believe her was the very man who lost his own son. From that day forward Matsuma knew his daughter's life would be to seek out the creature that caused so much grief to their family name, instead focusing on teaching his hungry daughter the art of war..as the determination of finding her brother's killer became her one and only mission within life. The years of training would however pay off as Umeko became a force to be faced with, the very promise in which she swore to her father becoming reality as she sought out the badger demon that still wore her brother's scent upon him, and with glee destroyed the vile creature without mercy.

A new life created from the ashes of the old Umeko set her life's purpose in disposing of the filthy creatures one by one, despite her mother's cries of anguish, but the fire lit within those plum eyes could not be sated; and thus Umeko's new life goal had become to walk alongside the pillars to spare another family the same grief that had torn her own apart. Once the threat of the demons had ceased however she regrettable became lost as the fire and hunger within her no longer had a flame to burn within her, peace was what she sought..but in the end she felt she had nothing left to offer.

In part because he knew a secret that his father didn’t know. That demons could coexist with humans. As evidenced by his mother who was a half-breed demon.
It was his mother who instilled in him the need to protect. Not just humanity but innocent demons as well. Though she did state that a demon who had fallen to it’s bloodlust could no longer be saved and had to be destroyed utterly.

Incredible physique - Even for a demon slayer, his strength, reflexes, flexibility, hand to eye coordination are top teir
Demon Sense - Being quarter blood demon, he has no fear of becoming a demon (unless changed against his will), he can sense any demon that comes within fifty yards of him with pinpoint accuracy. He can also tell if they have given over to feeding off humans by the color of their threads. A demon who hasn’t eaten human flesh, only partaking of blood, has a red thread that is calm and steady. A demon who has given themselves over to their baser hungers has a black thread that vibrates visibly. Only high end Demon Blood Arts can hide a demon from this sense.
Healing arts - Due to the fact that if he were to accidentally cut himself on his own sword or that of another Demon Slayer, Shien has delved heavily into the healing arts. Both scientific and magical.
Aura of Peace - Humans and most demons will find his presence soothing and steadying, allowing him to be on friendly terms with most people that he encounters.

Weaknesses: Demonic Blood - The Nichiren blades of Demon Slayers are as deadly to him as they are full blooded demons. If cut with one, even by accident the wound won’t coagulate and heal without special ointments. Meaning that his own sword could kill him if he nicks himself and can’t treat the injury. This touches on his mild allergy to Wisteria pollen.
Aura of Peace - As helpful as this is with peaceful demons, it agitates the hell out of demons that have eaten human flesh. To the point where they’ll ignore other threats to focus on killing him.
Unlucky - Shien can’t seem to go more than four or five battles without breaking a sword.




Gear: A medicine sellers box which doubles as a place to hide his sword. It also carries the medicines to treat his injuries as well as different medicines to treat demon blights (like the Slayers turned into spiders in the Anime/Manga)

Demon Sense - Being quarter blood demon, he has no fear of becoming a demon (unless changed against his will), he can sense any demon that comes within fifty yards of him with pinpoint accuracy. He can also tell if they have given over to feeding off humans by the color of their threads. A demon who hasn’t eaten human flesh, only partaking of blood, has a red thread that is calm and steady. A demon who has given themselves over to their baser hungers has a black thread that vibrates visibly. Only high end Demon Blood Arts can hide a demon from this sense.
Healing arts - Due to the fact that if he were to accidentally cut himself on his own sword or that of another Demon Slayer, Shien has delved heavily into the healing arts. Both scientific and magical.
Aura of Peace - Humans and most demons will find his presence soothing and steadying, allowing him to be on friendly terms with most people that he encounters.

Weaknesses: Demonic Blood - The Nichiren blades of Demon Slayers are as deadly to him as they are full blooded demons. If cut with one, even by accident the wound won’t coagulate and heal without special ointments. Meaning that his own sword could kill him if he nicks himself and can’t treat the injury. This touches on his mild allergy to Wisteria pollen.
Aura of Peace - As helpful as this is with peaceful demons, it agitates the hell out of demons that have eaten human flesh. To the point where they’ll ignore other threats to focus on killing him.
Unlucky - Shien can’t seem to go more than four or five battles without breaking a sword.




Gear: A medicine sellers box which doubles as a place to hide his sword. It also carries the medicines to treat his injuries as well as different medicines to treat demon blights (like the Slayers turned into spiders in the Anime/Manga)
